Took this one with a Nikon Coolpix 5000 about two years ago. Gotta love the midwest (for about two weeks every year).

Made it back home for a long weekend down in southwest Florida. Weather and time didn't cooperate too much, but I managed a couple of quick shots.

I posted one from this series a while ago, but I actually like these better.

Dallas just isn't southwest Florida. Powerlines, urban sprawl... just damned hard to find someplace, so far, to set up any kind of sunrise or sunset shot. Still looking...

All of those were f'ing brilliant. Really...cameras are so good for reminding us what a (sometimes) beautiful world we (sometimes) live in.

I'm surprised this one turned out halfway decent, as I snapped it out my side window on my way home from work one morning.

I went "home" this weekend to see my youngest graduate from high school. There hasn't been a cloud in the sky so far, so I had to make due with what I had. Tonite just after sunset from Ft. Myers Beach, Florida. The image is a bit noisy, but it still made me feel good because I sure couldn't have taken this photo back in Dallas.

Finally went someplace different to capture a sunrise or two. Still out traveling, but here's a couple of sunrises that I have captured.
First one below is called Mesa Arch in Canyonlands in Utah. I took this photo, yesterday, Friday morning. http://www.tropicdiver.com/utah2.jpg The second one I took this Saturday morning at sunrise in Arches National Park at the Court House Towers area. It's amazing what the early morning lite can do. http://www.tropicdiver.com/utah1.jpg  |
fuck me tropic............you're good.
|
Wish I could take photos like that... but I can't get up early enough ;) ...hehe, one hell of a talent you have there! Love your shots - keep 'em coming please!

Thanks, guys. Here's a sunrise photo from Monument Valley about three days, ago.

About five minutes after the sun had risen above the horizon. The sandstone of the Three Gossips in Arches National Park turned a gorgeous orange everywhere and the long shadows of the landscape made themselves seen.

If I were guessing, I'd say Sanibel, as the sunset looks familar to me. |
Of course! (why else would I ask you?)

Only 3 years, 5 months and one week left in my agreement to remain in Texas. Hope southwest Florida doesn't change that much between now and then. At least I am making several trips back during my time away to help get my fix of Florida to help hold me over. |
jesus these are good folks.
thank you all. |
Love nature...the photo's here are so beautiful. I go out to Lake Ontario every morning. Brought my camera last week.
