What is the strangest / most powerfull dream you have had?

Im not sure if this would simply fall under Living or Philosophy but im curious what the strangest or most powerfull dream someone here has had? I had one of the strangest dreams and sensations iv felt while asleep last night.

The part of the dream most vivid to me has me standing in a room devoid of anything but a door, a window and a charicter who I assume is a priest. He is speaking to me but I can't identify or remember the topic. I see through the window something large approaching the door as it swings opens I can see the priest turn in fear and fall over cowering on the floor. As I look to the door an enormous white robed pope standing 9' tall enters and barely fits in the room. As he entered I could feel the emense power all through the room. He towered over the preist and staked him with a wooden cross killing him and trapping his body in place. At this time I just remeber feeling this enormous power and closing my eyes thinking that he is there in the name of god.

I am not a spiritual person but the most astounding part of the dream was the this sensation of being in the presence of such power, I can't really describe it but I could feel it all through my body. I awoke immediatly with the same sensation but declining and my heart racing. I just turned on the light and reflected on it for a bit before returning to bed, I had a hard time getting back to sleep. It was very strange and disconcerting.

The one dream a remember the most was just a voice saying "Ah there you are"
I can't describe just how frightening and terrifying that voice was. But I woke up straight away and my mouth was dry and I couldn’t say a thing. It took me about half an hour to get the courage to get out of bed and switch the light on. This is the only time I have truly felt terrified.

One dream was powerful to me not by the dream itself but by events surrounding the dream. I was about 10 or 11. Had a dream about having a bomb scare at my elementary school and the Kindergarten teachers refused to let the kids leave the building claiming it was simply a false alarm. Eventually some teachers went back in and fetched the Kindergarten kids and reprimanded the teachers. Once they got out there was an explosion and some students were injured. As I was dreaming it I got up and sleepwalked out to the livingroom and when my mother called to me (she was sitting there watching TV) I just turned around and went back to bed. She then came to my room and woke me and told her the dream.

The next day a similar incident actually happened at a school and we heard it on the news. It was much like me dream and my mother was amazed. She is a very religious person and believed it was somewhat of a spiritual experience. I don't remember what the news was exactly now since I was so young. The dream is still vivid in my mind and I remember paying attentiong to my intuition and dreams much more after that. Freaky - My dream kinda belongs in paranoia but you asked about powerful dreams. This was affected me a lot.

I was in a large resort/casino with my parents. We got seperated. It was very large and I got lost. I was walking all around trying to find my parents or a way to get back to the place we were staying at. I went upstairs in this huge, strange building and I found a party with Anna Nicole in it. She jumped out of the window into this pool and (I couldn't make this up if I tried) the huge force of her hitting the pool caused massive destruction not only to the pool but everything. The building started shaking, everything was falling apart, and the lights dimmed or went out. I tried to find my parents, but I never did, finally I found a line for a bus with a bunch of younger kids. As I left the building I noticed that everything had a weird tilt to it, everything was falling apart and it was near collapse. It had started snowing. I was leaving the destroyed decadence behind me, and for all of my searching in the whole dream I never found anything but opulence committing suicide.

The weirdest dream that I can remember, must have been when I was about ten or eleven. All I can remember is a laughing man, in a black robe (always thought he was a monk) who was standing on a table, or rock, or something. While laughing he fell forward (I always believed it was a deliberate action) and snapped his neck, which if you're falling forward means you have to tuck your head way forward without rolling like a somersault. I have never tried it, but it seems to me that it would be really difficult. Maybe the sheer oddness is what has made it memorable for so long. Whatever the reason, it freaked me out. The *snap* sound was what made me wake up. crud, now I gots the heebie-jeebies...

I was about 7 years old and was gassed for an operation.

I had a dream that I was being chased up an endless staircase by some thing/person in a trench coat and hat. I was running towards a door yet no matter how far I climbed it never got closer. The wall and the stairs were made of yellow brick or plaster or something. Everything seemed almost cartoon like, especially the movements of my pursuer which were jerky sudden and relentlessly steady. Most distinctly there was the most terrible sound I have ever experienced in my life. It was a monotone noise that I cant quite describe. I cant even imagine it if I think about it. Yet I can still feel the dread of it. Some 16 years later I hear similar noises and a shiver runs down my spine. It kept getting louder as my pursuer got closer and he always did. Just as I though that its tone could go no louder and painful, it did.

This dream seemed to last for the entire length of time that I was asleep (about 6 hours) though I bet it was only a few minutes long as dreams usually are. Despite it's lenght I never even dared to think about giving up, I kept running because I KNEW that this thing/person that was chasing me was after my soul.

While my mom was sick, there was a girl who's father had been through the same thing, so she would check in on me and make sure I was ok. I developed a little bit of a crush on her. I remember this dream where she came over because I was having a party. Everyone else at the party decided to leave. She stayed and went to my room. I followed her into my room and as she was climbing into my bed, she passed in front of a window. A street light outside was shining in and as the light struck her it was amplified 20 times. I realized she was an angel. The feeling of calm I got from that dream lasted for weeks. Anytime I was upset, it calmed me down. The calming effect of that dream has long since been lost, but I still get a nice feeling when I think about it.

I fell asleep in front a computer terminal while trying to write documentation for mainframe-based accounting software (about as exciting as it sounds).

All of a sudden I was hangin in space, blackness. In front of me, going up, down, right and left to infinity was a glowing blue wall. Suddenly the damn thing _pivots_ so that it falls down onto me and sweeps me down and forward.....

to a view of a clear view sky... But my point of view is still pivoting, and as I watch the peaks of strange mountains poke up in the bottom of my field of vision. I suddenly got the strong impression that I was looking out at the world through somebody else's eyes, and he had been looking at the sky and was now lowering his head to look at the mountains. I also felt a strange, increasing tension as if something was about to snap, and was suddenly and intensely afraid that I was about to be trapped in somebody else's head. Then I woke up, looking at the terminal.

A few minutes later, I tried to reenter whatever mental state I had been in, and I almost made it. I was actually in my own head, watching my thoughts drift by as if they were leaves floating on the surface of a creek that I was standing in. But it also felt like I was on one end of a telephone connection after the other party had hung up.

To this day, I feel like somebody else was trying to contact me in some way, for some reason -- not necessarily a good one. My wife likes to say that it was probably some Tibetan monk messing with my head through telepathy.

In my dream I am waking up. I find myself laying in a small grassy area which turns out to be the top of a gigantic mountain. The mountain differs from most because it is covered entirely with the healthiest of grass. I look over the side a bit to see a vast and peaceful city. As my eyes move closer towards my position I see a small pond filled and surrounded by, what in my mind was, a pair of every living creature. My view comes closer and closer towards me until I discover that next to me on the mountain side is a house. An old New England style sort of ranch with a large porch that peeks at me as well as over the side of the mountain. Then a woman runs naked past me. She climbs a set of stairs up to the porch on the house and walks purposefully to the side that looks over the mountain at the city below. She looks at me as if to get my attention so I fix my eyes on her. All at once she points up at the sky with a finger and says "Michael, can you see how beautiful the sky is?" A feeling of life and death, time and space being combined as I hear her words and I look. The sky was the deepest blue and the sun which existed at every point in the sky shone with infinite energy. All across I could see colors falling bits of light composed like a symphony in the sky. I saw all this and I conciously calculated the situation and I can tell you that I did see it. I woke up with the feeling of that dream, and for about 15 beautiful seconds, nothing else mattered.

I had this pretty wierd dream this afternoon:

My mum had this 1 year old baby. But this baby would keep convulsing like an epileptic but everytime the baby did it would kill someone. The baby would just get superhuman stregnth and malice. Being family we tried to keep it quiet and protect the baby. But one day the baby went into a convulsion. Mum and I moved over to make sure she didnt hit anything when the baby turned and looked straight at me. The babys eyes were black and I knew that I was its next victem. I just said "Fuck!!!" and ran. The baby came after me but I could run faster so I out distanced it. I got tired pretty soon and had to hide. I looked out after a while and the baby was trudging along the footpath looking straight at me as if it was being guided by an unatural vision and determination. I kept on running. I came to this corner bar which taught kung fu out the back. I thought "Great. They can protect me". I went out the back but no one was there. This guy comes out and asks me what I want. I told him and he said no one comes in today. So I asked If he knew a back way out. He started showing me. Then the baby came around the corner and grabbed this guy. The babys fingers went straight into his chest and it threw him into a wall out of its way. It justkept on coming at me without taking its eyes off me the entire. I turned and ran.

The phone rang at that moment and woke me up. It freaked me out.

2 really stick out in my mind.
One was Kurt Cobain standing with me and my grandma in my parents' kitchen. I was crying and he came to hug me and told me "it's ok, I'm alright now. I will always be here."

Another is a voice I heard- it woke me up after hearing it.
The voice said "There are two big world events in the future. One is in .....(I don't recall the year)....and another is far from now, it will be the cause of the end of the world." I woke up, I was not scared of what I heard, but just really alarmed and aware.

Mine is a dream that has significance because of the events that surronded it as well. I was about 12-14. I had a reaccuring dream that I was driving down the streats in Seattle, with various relatives. The driver would round a corner to a susquatch coming out of the woods. I would point at it in fear and begin to yell. The driver would always say, "it is your imagination, there is nothing to fear."

20 years later I learned that my uncle had tried to molest me. I told my mother, who told her mother, who talked to him. He promised not to try anything like that again. Everyone went on their merry way. He raped and/or molested several of my cousins as a result of there "being nothing to fear."

I truly thank God that my mom protected me and my sisters. I hate that the extended family lived in denial causing many young lives to be ruined.

I've had a recurring dream ever since I was very young, probably around 8. At 8, I really didn't like girls, I just wasn't at that age yet, yet I still had this dream.

It is always a slightly different dilemma, but the basis is always the same. The woman I love is in fatal trouble and I must do something to save her. Its a classic superhero saves the girl story, but it seemed VERY real to me. I think this dream has helped me define a lot about myself, but I am also slightly afraid of what it may mean. On the upside, I found that I am the type of person that will risk my own to save someone elses life. On the downside, I'm hoping the fact that I feel the need to protect my loved one, which is a woman, doesn't mean that deep down I feel that women need protecting or they are inferior. That insults me, but I would like to have this dream analyzed by someone.

It usually starts as me and my loved one having a good time doing something that couples do, having a picnic, being at the beach, etc.

After that, someone kidnaps her for some reason and I am told where to go to save her.

After that, I end up at the spot I was supposed to, and usually she is restrained somehow screaming, and I have this overwhelming urge to do something, and while doing this develop an overpowering hatred for the person that took her. This person always remains anonymous.

The dreams ends just as I am about to save her, and then I wake up in a cold sweat.

Now that I've written that down, it seems very strange, but also very mediocre at the same time. Can anyone shed some light onto this? Thanks.

The dreams where I wake-up and something strange happened in previous the dream. Then, I wake-up again and think "strange dream" and realize something isn't right about my room. Again, I wake-up from that dream and think "strange dream"...

The whole dreaming that I am waking-up bother me a whole lot. It just makes me confront the fact that existence could be one gigantic dream and I would be none the wiser.

weird thing about it was.. i dreamt this viewing myself in 3rd person view...

When I was in 5th grade, one of my classmates had leukemia. I had a dream one night that we were standing out in this huge field. He was trying to tell me something, but a storm was coming up, and I couldn't hear him over the wind and thunder. We were both getting frustrated, and he was screaming the words, but I still couldn't hear him... when I woke up and went to school the next day, I learned he'd died that morning...

As for recurring dreams...well, sort of recurring, I dream, often, about being at my grandparents' house, and something bad has happened, or is happening. It's usually something to do with wolves, but not always (sometimes it's silly, but scary in the dream--there was a dragon living in the garage, and everyone said it was a good dragon...but then it ate my cat.) I thought maybe it was some sort of subconcious/repressed memory of something bad happening to me there when I was younger, but I asked my parents and my grandparents, and nope--nothing like that happened. Strange.

Well..its a bit lengthy so bear with me.
------------
Me and my brother was driving in our Honda Passport. Then theres the huge metal garbage can that appears out of no where in the middle of the road. So we stopped and take a look, and there was a naked but dirty girl inside. She lies face down, with a flattened carboard box over her body, it covers much of her body, but still enough to know that she's still naked. So my brother told me to forget about her and just go home. But I said no, so I came closer to help her if she needed any. Well, she did. She said she need some water and out of nowhere a bottle of water appeard in my pocket and I gave it to her to drink. She chugged down the bottle and said "thanks." Then I took her home with me.

When we get home, I took her to the bathroom and personally clean her myself. It wasn't until this part of the dream that I realized what a hot peice of ass she was. Nice body, and perfect round boobies (like Jenna Jameson). Well..I don't know how it started but we began to kiss and suddenly she became my girlfriend. I was like "WTF!! Sweet!" and I couldn't be more happy.

So any ways. I don't exactly know how, but I got a boat. Docked at a beach and I took that girl there with me latter on. Suddenly, there's this huge storm that with pouring rain and violent wind. The boat couldn't take it and somehow it drifted into the ocean. I was still there, but the girl wasn't so I swim my ass off to shore and I find her there, at the beach, naked again, this time she was covered in sand. The storm died down, the waves lightly brushes over her naked ass. So I swim toward her and then we began to "shag" right there______________
----------------------------------
And that's when my mom wake me up for school. I was really disapointed because it felt so real and I couldn't stop thinking about it ever since. I guess you'd think I'm making this up or that I'm an idiot. Any one else have this kind of dream?

It's been my fantasy since then. To meet a naked stranger have her as my GF....

I hope it's not silly. Well..if you think so...I guess you can use a good laugh...
