Okay, there are some songs I found on soulseek, the band is listed as "your place or mine." I've searched and searched for info on them, but can't find a single thing. I'm wondering if the band name was mislabled. The 4 songs are...
-another lover of a demo pop group -hard liquor -all our instruments are borrowed -oh, how i spend my days If anyone knows anything about them, please let me know. Also, does anyone know where I could host these songs for free so I can let people listen to them to maybe figure out who they are, if they are really not Your Place or Mine? |

thank you so much. I was able to find an English link from your site, which brought me to this page where you can actually download what are apparently the only 4 songs they have released.

I heard this song on the radio and the lyrics go "Let me take you home, boy won't you let me take you home" (this part is spoken) and I think I also heard something like "I need you tonight." It's a hip hop/R&B song sung by a female or female group and the beat sounds similar to J-Kwon's "Tipsy." I literally feel like the only person on earth who has heard this song. It's been bugging the hell out of me for a month now and no one seems to know. I will give my left nut to whoever gives me the title to this song.

I sort of feel ashamed having to ask for help with this since I'm always the one who rolls my eyes at people when they come into record stores humming tunes or singing lyrics to find a song but anyways.
I'm trying to find out the name of the song that was used once in the show Wildboyz and then it was used for the ads for the Sunday Night Stew on MTV. It's a rock type song with a girl (i think?) who isn't singing any lyrics. It sounds like gibberish. From what I can decypher, she's singing something like "Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom, Woah Oh Woah Oh Woah Oh Woah Oh Woah Oh" it's either "Woah Oh" or "Dodo" or something like that. It's one of those really weird kind of songs that you get stuck in your head for days on end. Anyone able to help me? Thanks in advance. |

I realize that this is kind of vague but this has been haunting me. There is this technoish song with someone whistling and a banjo and violins. If anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about please let me know.

On Alias tonight they played a version of (I think) The Wind, by Cat Stevens, but it didn't sound quite like his version. Anyone know of who could of sung the cover? The voice sounded gentler and had gentler enunciation than the original version I was able to find.

A while back me and my friends were driving home at night on the highway, when this AWESOME techno song came on the radio. I mean it made the drive back SO memorable.. me and my friend still talk about it once in a while. The problem is, we don't know what the song was! All I can remember is it was techno, and sometimes a guy's voice would go, "I--I guess didn't know" or something like that (I wish I could say more here but I can't remember anything else!). It was just so cool. Does anyone here have any clue as to what this song is? It's probably no use because of my lack of information, but please, even if you guessed at what it was I could download it and see what if it's the one...
It would make my life complete to hear this song again. Last edited by guitardude74; 01-10-2005 at 12:10 AM.. |

Posted this answer on your other thread, guitardude, but figured I'd put it here too so no one keeps searching.
Even though I don't listen to techno, this song sounded familiar to me. I figured it must be Fatboy Slim or something else mainstream for me to have heard it. After I Googled the lyrics and "fatboy", I figured out it's actually a Crystal Method song called "Busy Child" (you can go to the Amazon album link here and play a snippit of the song: Amazon album link). I think I heard it over and over one night probably 5+ years ago at a friend of a friend's place playing a Playstation game called N20 Nitrous Oxide. The game's soundtrack is done by Crystal Method. We played for a few hours, so that's probably why I recognized it (since the songs repeated a lot on the game).

House of the Rising Sun, done with a woman with a sultry and sweet voice- ring a bell for anyone? (the only one I could track down was by Nina Simone, and that's not it)

Can anyone help me find this piece of music? Its very gard to describe, as there arent anty real words... but I'll try
The song is the backing track to a video that was going round a few months ago, it is basically a montage of atrocity photo's of Arab terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians, it starts with a countdown, and then flashes up "are you ready?" - the title is "Three Days in Israel" (of the video) - the music is kind of stirring and violent, with heavy violins that flash back and forth over a mournful, sundued and wordless wailing and it rises to a creshendo. Some of the photo's and video footage is truly horrifying, it ends with a photo of a dead baby and then the words "stop terror" and "peace" come up on screen. Has anyone else seen this video and knows what the track that plays behind it is?

SF- That's (as far as I know) the main theme from "Requiem for a Dream", although I have no idea which remix it is. It's been remixed so many times, it's scary.

There is this acoustic guitar riff going on during the title screen of Kevin Smith's movie 'Jersey Girl' on the DVD. I tried looking for a soundtrack, but it appears as if there isn't one, which kinda sucks. Anyone know what this song is?

I thought of another one. The commercial for Cingular Allover network. I think the first set of lyrics are "I rolled into Nazareth..." something like that.

This is a really odd request. I just downloaded the clip of Mischa Barton and Olivia Wilde (from The O.C.) kissing on the beach. I downloaded it......to admire the wonderful variety of sealife? I don't know if anyone else saw this but I want to know what song is playing in the background. Can anyone help me out? Much appreciated. Thanks

Ok, I'm trying to find a Heavy Metal song that sounds like it is from the early 90's metal scene around the time metallica was still good. Could be pantera, slayer, I dunno....
The only part I can remember from it is when he starts going like: "dee da boo da" etc etc... It's a kickass song, but with such a vague explanation, I hope I can find it again.

Does anyone know what is the name and artist of the song in the new Adidias commercial for their "intelligent shoe", where the man runs on different planes in the world.
Also the song from the boost moblie Nextel commerical with Kayne West and The game, the lyrics have the word, "where you at" in it a couple of time. Thanks
