This should be a relatively easy one. In the movie Pulp Fiction when Vincent takes Mia to Jack Rabbit Slims, she gets a $5.00 milkshake. Vincent takes a drink, says something and then leans back. The music playing in the background is a 60's instrumental (I think). It's mostly a slowly strummed electric guitar. I need to know the name of the song and who it's by. Thanks.

I FOUND IT! I know I only posted this a few hours ago, but it's been driving me nuts for days. I actually found the "rebuttal" song before I found the original, but I found it.

Eamon - Fuck It
Frankee - FURB is the rebuttal version.

Now to overplay it till it's outta my head...

Basically, it's a guy singing (like boys-2-men type voice) to an ex-girlfriend (I guess). I think it's about how he was hurt by her or doesn't need her anymore. There's music, but it's pretty much his voice that makes the song. It's fairly new (here in Australia), so that means it could be a month old in the States. It's starting to get a bunch of airplay. I can't remember any actual lyrics, but I remember thinking that the song sounded like a normal little soft love song.. until you listened to the lyrics and they were semi-lewd. Not what you'd expect .

Any ideas? Please? It's driving me nuts.

Looking for a classical piece...
They play it on the Simpsons a lot, very frenetic, part xylophone perhaps? One instance is from the episode where grandpa is babysitting them and bart is holding onto the ceiling fan by grandpa's dentures and spinning around and around. Anyone know what I'm talking about?

Anyone know what it is?
Help!

Was it a Telecaster with a tremolo or rotating speaker effect? It could be "Rumble" by Link Wray and His Ray Men.

I have heard this song a few times on the classic rock station, but can't track down the name or who its by. Here are some lyrics:

"Amy, whatcha want to do?
I think, I could stay with you
for a while, maybe longer..."

and ends with the guy singing:

"falling in and out of love with you..."

Any help would be appreciated; I really like the song.

"Amy" by Pure Prairie League

I've also seen some copies on WinMX labelled as "Falling In and Out of Love".

There's a rather recent rock song that I can't figure out.
Somewhere in the middle are distinct lyrics which say "No lights. No music"
And that's all I can remember. Sounds like System of a Down but I have no idea.

There is in fact a System of a Down song called "Sugar" that contains that line.

OK, there's this song I kept hearing while I was in France last week. It actually is a pretty awful song but I can't get it out of my head. Basically it's some white guy rapping over a sample of some old French song. I know that may not be very much info, but that's all I got.
If anyone has any idea what this is I will owe you my sanity.

Apparantly, it is an original made for the ad. More information here:

Something that i have found useful when trying to figure out a song i heard is the site leos lyrics www.leoslyrics.com. If you know any words that are in the song you can do a search by lyric, either as a complete phrase or scattered words. So for example, if you heard roadhouse blues (by the doors) on the radio and did not know the name of the song or who it was by, youd type in the lyric you heard (keep your eyes on the road) and it would give you a list of all the songs that contain that lyric. The site has definitely been extremely useful for me.

Is the song called "Paul Oakenfold", or is that who performed it? Where did you hear the song?

I'm guessing that GBA = Game Boy Advance? If so, according to Adtunes.com,
Quote:
the current ads depict a gamer standing in the middle of an intersection playing his GBA as graphics swirl around him. The retro NES console ad is backed by a well placed new wave song called "Situation" by the group Yaz. The ad for Mario Golf uses a remixed version of the song "Good Dancers" by Sleepy Jackson called the "Good Dancers (Gerling Remix)."
I hope you are asking about the Yaz song; it kicks ass. The entire album (Upstairs at Eric's) is worth hearing.

I'd appreciate some help finding the artist and name of the following song.

It's rock (slower paced), and includes the lyrics:

"Can't be held responsible," "We were merely/only freshman," and ".. love in the first place."

It's a pretty well-known song, and is sung by a male lead singer. I just can't think of the name right now.

Thanks!

It is a song in a Volkswagen commerical. The vehicle is a Volkswagen Touareg, which is an SUV. I don't recall any lyrics, but it sort of sounds like a country song. I think the commercial is new.

Any help identifying this song is appreciated.

here's a tough one....I think the song is from the 70's (i've heard it played in that 70's show)....the only place I can describe it.......is that it is in Charlie's Angels 1 (the movie with drew barrymore etc..)...and after the point where she sleeps with sam rockwell.....and he is telling her that he is actually a bad guy, and shoots her and she falls through the glass etc... the song is playing in the background....anyone know it?

I'm trying to remember a single by Agnetha Faltskog of ABBA that was on the American pop charts around 1983 or so. It was released after Frida's "I Know There's Something Going On."

EDIT: Apparently it wasn't on the charts. It got quite a bit of airplay on a station I listened to though.
