I saw some video the other day when I was half asleep so I did not catch the name of the band or the song. It had what appeared to be a bunch of mimes the most prominant of which was playing the drums. The song had a very distinctive Piano (riff?) line in it that was repeated throughout and is very prominant.
I am pretty sure it was a female singer in it. Sorry for the crappy desc. I know you all have done more with less though so that is why I ask. . . |

But I think you might be talking about Climax Blues Band "I Love You."It starts out: When I was younger, man, I hadn't a care Fooling around, hitting the town, growing my hair You came along and stole my heart, win (?) you into my life Oooh babe, you got what it takes so I made you my wife. Since then I never looked back, it's almost like living a dream And oooh I love you. Late on in the song he says the "oooh I want you" line. It's an awesome song from 1980 or so, always one of my favorites. Shari |
What's that song in the iPod commercial that has all those people jumping around? It has really fast singing and...yeah. I don't even have any words from it. Sorry. Help.

Hmm, there were lots of iPod television ads. Is it current?

This is a song on my x's bob marley tape I have been looking for.
All I remember about it is the chorus, there are several voices, some female, and although I don't know the exact lyrics it sounds similar to "I need a llama, a llama, a llama, a llama, to calm me down" I don't know if llama is the correct word , but it is definatly "I need a _____ , a _____, a _____, a ____ , to ____ me down" |

I'd say it's slower tempo rock, and the lyrics in the quote above are sung much slower than they read. Thanks! |

any fans of really old folk music? I'm looking for the lyrics or information about a song called "Patches" I don't know who sang it or wrote it or anything...

Is it an Alabama song? More country than folk, and probably not as old as "really old folk music." Hmm, good luck.

There is this hilarious video - I believe in Japanese... I would, if anyone is able to help me out with this, find out both the name and artist of the song that they are singing to.
Here is the link to the video... Secondly, there is a song that plays in 28 Days Later that I would like to know. It begins to play just as the charactors enter the grocery store and begin shopping. Any help is much appreciated, thanks in advance! |

the GYBE tune fits that part of the movie so well... one of my favorite parts of the movie.
i have the DVD, so i might have to give it a spin this weekend and see if i can answer the question. i can't think of the tune that plays there from memory. |

thank you so much. I was able to find an English link from your site, which brought me to this page where you can actually download what are apparently the only 4 songs they have released.
http://82.182.65.23//jakob/ypom/demo.htm I love the song "oh, how I spend my days." Love it love it love it. |
I heard this song on the radio and the lyrics go "Let me take you home, boy won't you let me take you home" (this part is spoken) and I think I also heard something like "I need you tonight." It's a hip hop/R&B song sung by a female or female group and the beat sounds similar to J-Kwon's "Tipsy." I literally feel like the only person on earth who has heard this song. It's been bugging the hell out of me for a month now and no one seems to know. I will give my left nut to whoever gives me the title to this song.
|
I sort of feel ashamed having to ask for help with this since I'm always the one who rolls my eyes at people when they come into record stores humming tunes or singing lyrics to find a song but anyways.
I'm trying to find out the name of the song that was used once in the show Wildboyz and then it was used for the ads for the Sunday Night Stew on MTV. It's a rock type song with a girl (i think?) who isn't singing any lyrics. It sounds like gibberish. From what I can decypher, she's singing something like "Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom Bom, Woah Oh Woah Oh Woah Oh Woah Oh Woah Oh" it's either "Woah Oh" or "Dodo" or something like that. It's one of those really weird kind of songs that you get stuck in your head for days on end. Anyone able to help me? Thanks in advance. |
heard a song the other night and the lyric was " simple Simon never made it into Mexico"
have had no luck with searches and kinda liked the song but the dj never said the name or group while i was listening |
I realize that this is kind of vague but this has been haunting me. There is this technoish song with someone whistling and a banjo and violins. If anyone knows what the hell I'm talking about please let me know.

On Alias tonight they played a version of (I think) The Wind, by Cat Stevens, but it didn't sound quite like his version. Anyone know of who could of sung the cover? The voice sounded gentler and had gentler enunciation than the original version I was able to find.

Twas not Cotton eyed Joe, this song had no words in it. I do apologize for putting that in your head. Please feel free to spit at the screen and shake your fist threateningly whenever my name pops up again. |
A while back me and my friends were driving home at night on the highway, when this AWESOME techno song came on the radio. I mean it made the drive back SO memorable.. me and my friend still talk about it once in a while. The problem is, we don't know what the song was! All I can remember is it was techno, and sometimes a guy's voice would go, "I--I guess didn't know" or something like that (I wish I could say more here but I can't remember anything else!). It was just so cool. Does anyone here have any clue as to what this song is? It's probably no use because of my lack of information, but please, even if you guessed at what it was I could download it and see what if it's the one...
It would make my life complete to hear this song again. |
You might want to be more specific. Was it house or drum and base or melodic or what? Was it in a major key? Was it modern techno? Was it trance? How long ago is "a while back"? Can you still play the song in your head?
|
Posted this answer on your other thread, guitardude, but figured I'd put it here too so no one keeps searching.
Even though I don't listen to techno, this song sounded familiar to me. I figured it must be Fatboy Slim or something else mainstream for me to have heard it. After I Googled the lyrics and "fatboy", I figured out it's actually a Crystal Method song called "Busy Child" (you can go to the Amazon album link here and play a snippit of the song: Amazon album link). I think I heard it over and over one night probably 5+ years ago at a friend of a friend's place playing a Playstation game called N20 Nitrous Oxide. The game's soundtrack is done by Crystal Method. We played for a few hours, so that's probably why I recognized it (since the songs repeated a lot on the game). |

Can anyone help me find this piece of music? Its very gard to describe, as there arent anty real words... but I'll try
The song is the backing track to a video that was going round a few months ago, it is basically a montage of atrocity photo's of Arab terrorist attacks against Israeli civilians, it starts with a countdown, and then flashes up "are you ready?" - the title is "Three Days in Israel" (of the video) - the music is kind of stirring and violent, with heavy violins that flash back and forth over a mournful, sundued and wordless wailing and it rises to a creshendo. Some of the photo's and video footage is truly horrifying, it ends with a photo of a dead baby and then the words "stop terror" and "peace" come up on screen. Has anyone else seen this video and knows what the track that plays behind it is? |
SF- That's (as far as I know) the main theme from "Requiem for a Dream", although I have no idea which remix it is. It's been remixed so many times, it's scary.

There is this acoustic guitar riff going on during the title screen of Kevin Smith's movie 'Jersey Girl' on the DVD. I tried looking for a soundtrack, but it appears as if there isn't one, which kinda sucks. Anyone know what this song is?

Ok, I'm trying to find a Heavy Metal song that sounds like it is from the early 90's metal scene around the time metallica was still good. Could be pantera, slayer, I dunno....
The only part I can remember from it is when he starts going like: "dee da boo da" etc etc... It's a kickass song, but with such a vague explanation, I hope I can find it again. |
What song is this
the song goes like this
"There is something, I wanna know...(some more words in there that I don't know)..Do you wanna funk let me show you how, do you wanna funk with me. Question?--Does anyone know who sang it or what the name of the song is Thanks |

trolled through adtunes for a while, but i didn't come up with anything
they should make accessing old pages faster in the forum if you don't search, you can only advance 2 at a time anyway, the song i'm interested in was featured in a car commercial in late 2003/early 2004. the song was some chillout track that i can't determine. here is my best approximation of what i remember (no i'm not going to sing): http://rapidshare.de/files/1655061/mystery.mp3.html (64 kb) two scenes that i can recall: side view of car in a store parking lot, hatchback open, being loaded from the rear (which is on the left side of the screen) then there is a brief look from inside the car: one hip looking black guy sitting in the back seat, shot low from the front center armrest it seemed like the options that the car had were changing throughout, but i can't say for sure (i.e. hatchback, no hatchback shown by morphing). likely to have been an import. thanks for participating... |
trickyy: Mitsubishi really got into a lot of trendy songs to promote their cars and if you think about it, helps narrow things down. Ford & Chrysler haven't gone the music route for the most part to my memory if you don't count these type music. Chevy has and they almost all seem to be American Themed / Springsteen type stuff. Nissan is almost all two songs that have something like zoom zoom in them. This doesn't sound like something the Germans would do unless it is Volkswagon maybe? Same for the high end Japanese cars like Lexus et all.
After that, not sure. Can't think of a Toyota comercial off hand other than the one were that bitter chic throws her BF's truck off the cliff(funny). I found this information at http://www.zipposusa.com/mitsubishi/mitsubishisongs.htm There is supposed to be every song they have used since 1999 through current. Need name of Hawaiian band that covers "fire" (Pointer Sisters)
Ok so I heard at a university "luau" this Hawaiian cover of the Pointer Sisters song "Fire" (written by bruce springsteen) the cover was such a chill perfect summer song. Anyone know the band? Trying to find more of this stuff.
lyrics (to spark your memory) I'm ridin' in your car, you turn on the radio You're pullin' me close, I just say no I say I don't like it, but you know I'm a liar 'Cause when we kiss, ooh, fire Late at night, you're takin' me home You say you wanna stay, I say I wanna be alone I say I don't love you, but you know I'm a liar 'Cause when we kiss, ooh, fire BRIDGE You had a hold on me right from the start A grip so tight I couldn't tear it apart My nerves all jumpin', actin' like a fool Well, your kisses they burn, but my heart stays cool... Well, Romeo and Juliet, Samson and Delilah Baby you can bet a love they couldn't deny My words say split, but my words they lie 'Cause when we kiss, ooh, fire LEAD BREAK Ooh fire... Kisses like fire... Burn me up with fire I like what you're doin now, fire Touchin me, fire Touchin me, burnin me, fire Take me home FADE Male singer by the way |
OK, covers, that's my department...
Checking over at The Covers Project, the song Fire was covered by Ho'onu'a, which certainly sounds like it would be a Hawaiian band. This song is on their album Have a Good Time (Amazon link). Next time, use the sticky thread at the top of the Music subforum for song requests. |
