Got an odd one for you all. There is one guy who does all his songs to the preprogramed beat that comes on the old casio keyboards. He is also mentaly retarded. He had one song I think was call "I kicked Batman's Ass". Funny, funny stuff. Anyone know his name?

Didn't see this.
The song is very mellow. The singer isn't loud. I can't hear any loud guitar or even a drum line, maybe a piano. All I know as it's a slow singer with a mellow voice, and not much beat but that do do or du du, i dont know what to use really He sings that a bit in the song, i wish i had more to say. Let me try and get the whole beat out, but damn it hard with words du dudu dudu du dadu dudu dudu Something like that, gesse it can be like anything. I heard it on Chom which is a classic rock station up here in montreal. Anyways anything you can think of would be great. |
If someone is actually singing the "du dudu" stuff, it might be Lou Reed - Take a Walk on the Wild Side. But if that's just the beat, that's probably not enough to go on.

ok, I'm looking for a rap 'song' (and I use the term loosely). I don't know the name of it, or the artist, but I do know that it is a coherent song, and EVERY word in the song is in alphabetical order.
|
I'm trying to find the lounge version of Down With the Sickness that was in Dawn of the Dead. Does anyone know if it's got a different title? Kazaa had no luck as far as I could tell.

Some legit downloads available here, but not that song specifically: Richard Cheese & Lounge Against The Machine - iloverichardcheese.com [ music / video downloads ] {edit} Just saw on his webpage that this is the song. |
Guess what.. yep.. need a song or artist.....
It from the movie Daredevil, no, not ont he soundtrack. For those withthe DVD, it's scene 15 I believe, of the rap genre. Opening lyrics start like "I'm an outlaw..... "and main chorus may contain "How it feeeels" I checked the damn credits at the end, but everything I sampled was no the song... really kinda pisses me off, ohwell. Any help is appreciated. |

Just heard a song on the college radio, one of the final lines was
"The alligator is still alive" Genre: kind of indie rock, i guess. Anybody know the song? thanks. |

OK I am back. I heard another song on the radio, it's against classic rock. The thing is there really aren't any lyrics it's more of a guitar and some yodelling or something. The guitar is very distink. It goes something like this: Nah nah nah nah, nah nah nah, nah, nah, nah, nah nah
It's with a guitar, if someone gets it you are a god, it's seem very vague, maybe I will think of more |
"Nah nah nah"? My first thought would be "Lovin, Touchin, Squeezin" by Journey. The entire last half of the song is simply "Nah".
|
Nah, it has no singing almost what so ever, it seems like the only thing that comes close to lyrics is some sort of yodelling. The nah nah part is how the guitar beat goes. I don't know how to many a guitar beat with letters, so i just did the beat as it came to my head, and used commas for the breaks between guitar "rests".
|
I think it's Focus - Hocus Pocus
|
HAHAHA
I did it myslef, thanks anyways man. |
OK, another song from another movie. Walking Tall (or possibly Hellboy, I saw them both the same day) had a version of Blue Monday with a woman vocalist. Does anybody know who it was?
|
Can you guys figure out these tunes:
1)What's the backup song being used for the beats to "The Zealots" by the Fugees? 2)What's the MIDI-ish beat used in the background in the song "I'm Kurious" by Kurious George? |
Hey guys, I don't really think that this belongs in this thread, but I'm gonna ask here anyways. I'm looking for a song by Paul Oakenfold called "See It." The only time I've ever heard it was during Frequency, a game for the PS2 by Harmonix. If anyone can help me find this song, I'd be extremely grateful.
Thanks. |
Got a stumper for you, not a what song, but a what artist- recently, ie last few years, somebody did a version of the old country song, el paso, by Marty Robbins, as a fast, punkish or maybe metalish remake, desperately want a copy, but don't know who sings this version- any help would be great......

EDIT: Alright, I managed to find out the name of the song, it's Ennio Morricone - From Man To Man. But does anyone know where I can get it from? EDIT v2: Man I'm stupid. That shit is on iTunes. |

Does anyone know the name of a punk song played on a mountain biking video with the lyrics that starts with:
It all started with a thunderclap, i'm breaking waving, traveling up to my knees, floating away and a chorus that goes like: when i close my eyes it makes midnight shine blue riding away that brings me closer to you if i fall i wonder if i could ever get up again take me to a place far away... Thanks for any leads. |
Looking for the artist of a song. I think the song is called "bad luck" I've heard it on much music, and CBC 3. THe video for it involves a teddy bear and a doll, and its messed up. there is some sort of radiohead-esque guitaring in the background. I think the chorus goes "you'll never know where I go when you're not around, yo'll never, ever know. " Any help would be appreciated
***Edit - I have finally found the artist, I suggest you listen to this song, its pretty cool "bad luck" by royal city |
I'm looking for a song. I know it came out 7 years ago. It was played on "alternative rock" radio, and then I think it made it onto the pop radio stations. It had like a latin feel or sound, and it was about driving or a road trip. It came out right before "How Bazaare". The song is not "you let me change lanes while I was driving in my car whoever you are". I've been looking for it forever.

I can't find that song on kazaa so I'm not sure. I don't remember the lyrics, and I think I knew the lyrics to the song I'm looking for. However, the song I'm looking for is structured exactly like that one. 3 verses detailing a rode trip, and then chorus in between. That probably is it, but I'd have to hear it. Thanks.

Yea, thats not it. Maybe it was just on a small tv commercial for it. It is the equivilant of carmina burana. #2 on the list of that kind of songs.

2nd background riff used in the song "Fuckshop" by 2 Live Crew. It's comes on right after the Sweet Child o'mine riff.
|
2nd background riff on "Fuckshop" is "Ain't talkin about love" by Van Halen.
that's followed by a sample from "Little Bit Of Soul" by Music Explosion |
I'm looking for the actual song or artist.
It's title is probably "Edelweiss", a UK mix (dancey) done from the song in "the sound of music". Late eighties possibly early nineties. Any help appreciated |
is it the version with yodeling on it? That was so cool. The song title is "Bring Me Edelweiss" and the band is Edelweiss.
|
K, so I need to know either the song title or the person who sings this song I heard on the radio the other night. It's a mellow song about a woman wanting to kill her boyfriend. The lyrics have something in them about "I could do it in the water" ?? Or something like that. The whole song is about her plotting to kill her boyfriend and how she would do it and what emotions she would be going through. It's an interesting song and it's bugging me because I can't figure out who it is :)
|
It's an 80's rock song that has this as it's main line (it is said fairly fast)
"come on baby light my candle cuz ....." i cant remember the rest Ive been looking for years, i cant find it.. help! I will bow down to thee who helps me |
This is a classic rock song from 1968. I think it's somewhat popular, and I'm pretty sure a "modern" band covered it somewhat recently. I think the chorus goes pretty fast, that you can only catch some of the words if you know what they are saying. There's a hint of reggae in it that I don't think the cover copies. I remember that the voice is a black guy with a gruffy sounding voice.
Please help me :( |

It may be hard to identify this one.. as I'm not sure if it's Australian or International.
Basically, it's a guy singing (like boys-2-men type voice) to an ex-girlfriend (I guess). I think it's about how he was hurt by her or doesn't need her anymore. There's music, but it's pretty much his voice that makes the song. It's fairly new (here in Australia), so that means it could be a month old in the States. It's starting to get a bunch of airplay. I can't remember any actual lyrics, but I remember thinking that the song sounded like a normal little soft love song.. until you listened to the lyrics and they were semi-lewd. Not what you'd expect . Any ideas? Please? It's driving me nuts. |
This should be a relatively easy one. In the movie Pulp Fiction when Vincent takes Mia to Jack Rabbit Slims, she gets a $5.00 milkshake. Vincent takes a drink, says something and then leans back. The music playing in the background is a 60's instrumental (I think). It's mostly a slowly strummed electric guitar. I need to know the name of the song and who it's by. Thanks.
|
I FOUND IT! I know I only posted this a few hours ago, but it's been driving me nuts for days. I actually found the "rebuttal" song before I found the original, but I found it.

Looking for a classical piece...
They play it on the Simpsons a lot, very frenetic, part xylophone perhaps? One instance is from the episode where grandpa is babysitting them and bart is holding onto the ceiling fan by grandpa's dentures and spinning around and around. Anyone know what I'm talking about? Anyone know what it is? Help! |

I have heard this song a few times on the classic rock station, but can't track down the name or who its by. Here are some lyrics:
"Amy, whatcha want to do? I think, I could stay with you for a while, maybe longer..." and ends with the guy singing: "falling in and out of love with you..." Any help would be appreciated; I really like the song. |

There's a rather recent rock song that I can't figure out.
Somewhere in the middle are distinct lyrics which say "No lights. No music" And that's all I can remember. Sounds like System of a Down but I have no idea. |

OK, there's this song I kept hearing while I was in France last week. It actually is a pretty awful song but I can't get it out of my head. Basically it's some white guy rapping over a sample of some old French song. I know that may not be very much info, but that's all I got.
If anyone has any idea what this is I will owe you my sanity. |

Something that i have found useful when trying to figure out a song i heard is the site leos lyrics www.leoslyrics.com. If you know any words that are in the song you can do a search by lyric, either as a complete phrase or scattered words. So for example, if you heard roadhouse blues (by the doors) on the radio and did not know the name of the song or who it was by, youd type in the lyric you heard (keep your eyes on the road) and it would give you a list of all the songs that contain that lyric. The site has definitely been extremely useful for me.

I'd appreciate some help finding the artist and name of the following song.
It's rock (slower paced), and includes the lyrics: "Can't be held responsible," "We were merely/only freshman," and ".. love in the first place." It's a pretty well-known song, and is sung by a male lead singer. I just can't think of the name right now. Thanks! |

I'm trying to remember a single by Agnetha Faltskog of ABBA that was on the American pop charts around 1983 or so. It was released after Frida's "I Know There's Something Going On."
