As much as I enjoy the PvP of WoW, I've come to the realization that this is more a PvE game than anything else. I don't want to do arena and I'm tired of idiot PuGs. My guild is too casual to become a dominant PvP force and I don't want to leave friends behind and join a guild where I know no one. Here's to hoping Warhammer Online brings back real PvP.

I took my rogue back to the BG's the other night for the first time, had a blast but I guess all servers are different. and the Horde have been trying to raid SW and failing :D

My main is a Rogue and I can hold my own pretty well. I guess I'm just frustrated with having to PuG 100% of the time. My arena partners don't even play anymore so arena is out (that's why I don't want to do it, otherwise I would.) So my situation boils down to suck it up and PuG all day and slowly but surely get my gear, or just cancel (acct expires on the 18th of this month) and play DotA or my 360.

Im in a raid guild so there is always someone online ether on there main or an alt so there is always something to do...My guild seems to run more heroics now a days then anything else.

I rerolled a warrior, i'm more casual than anything with my new job and whatnot.

paladins are just so support oriented that it makes me sick, I'm sorry I can't be bothered to have 4 people attatched to my ass everytime I wanna go farm, pvp, or just do whatever.

great support class, sucks at everything that makes any class soloable though.

I envy druids, at least they have a degree of itemization that actually helps thier physical dps forms. Paladins get stuck with a physical dps tree and a bunch of healing/spell damage gear. DOES NOT FIT.

(yea yeah i know, at least thiers t4/5 but even that is lacking, and I figured, even if they did fix itemization, I'd still look like a god damned fruit fucker, at least warriors look badass, and are actually GOOD at whatever they spec for, if not the best (pvp or tanking)

WoW sounds like a lot of fun! Most of my friends play it but it also sounds pretty expensive over the long run :grumpy: so I'm pretty undecisive if its worth getting it...

It is pretty expensive if you just look at cost over time, however, when you look at entertainment time vs. cost you get a much better idea of whats going on. Most people will spend approximatly $15 to go to the theatre and spend an hour and half watching a movie. For the same cost you can spend many, many hours during a month playing WoW and being entertained by it.

Yes, that they're expensive is a common misconception, because MMOs actually save you money. But you'll pay with your life. :lol:

In NYC costs me $11.50, and on opening night you have to use Fandango or other service so add $1.00 to that and that doesn't include popcorn or anything else. and no there are no such things as matinees in Manhattan for movies.

Just seems easier to say that WoW costs less than fifty cents a day, but maybe that's just me.

eh, I completely quit, cancelled all 3 accounts, deleted 11 gigs of installations/expansions/addons.

Ah, i love this sword. only took my 14 runs through ZF to get it... I used it till 60 when i respec'd to protection tree. Its still in the bank, also my 1st epic.

I have "quit" 3 times. All mostly to my mage. I just seems lacking somewhere. I'm frost forever. I've fallen into the crutch of survivability. Even in PvP, although my ice block cool down is annoying.

I have alts and such but it boils down to my mage. Ive gotten lazy. Poof im there, poof your dead lol. Invisibility is a waste to me. Its a feint or fade pretty much. Ive used it only once to get outta a pug that went bad one night.

But all in all. I dont think I could ever quit the game. I take a few weeks of a break now and then. Then I'm right back at it.

The guild I'm in on Lothar is casual, but we get the raids done when we need to. And for PvP, we work on it when we have a sizable group.

I usually don't get down below 30fps, I don't really even notice until it gets below 20 though. I don't know if it's because I had alt tabbed a few times or if it's just because I'm right above a ton of npcs fighting infernals that fall from the sky. I'm just happy I got something in the game before any of my braggity(new word?) ass friends did. I'm getting tired of hearing about thier 3rd piece of tier 5 and +2100 healing on their warrior. None of those bastards have a netherdake :P

Well, It's most likely NOT 2100.. but he gets pleasure out of taking healer loot that I don't have when nobody in his raid wants it. I can specifically remember him getting Shard of the Virtuous and Masquerade Gown and I know he had a decent collection before he got those. I got the gown then finished my primal mooncloth set the next day so I vendored it :)

WoW: The Wrath of the Lich King

I was at BlizzCon, and was rather surprised that they were already planning another expansion -- or at least announcing it. There were hundreds of people lining up to play what they had available - same with Starcraft II.

I'm looking forward to SC2 more than WOTLK :) I got my T4 shoulders and netherray mount on my hunter the other day woot! I still look like ass since they haven't fixed orc shoulders yet.

Anyone know the details about the Death Knight? Is it a 1-70 character or paladin only at lvl 80? And WTF? They promised hero classes in the original game. Theyre such liars.

Right now, it's going to be an unlockable class through a questline similar in difficulty to the epic warlock mount at level 60.
When you create your DK, he will start somewhere between level 55-70, and can be any race.

They don't use mana/rage/energy. They use a system of "runes" inscribed on their weapons that are put on a cooldown when used to activate their abilities. They will be a DPS/Tank hybrid and will be able to tank with 2handers(which is the craziest idea imo, warriors will cry so much over this).

www.unholyaura.net basically tracks any info related to the death knight, and that is mostly what they've found out. Of course as the CM's have stated, most of this is subject to change.

Also, been waiting for Death Knights to be introduced since release. Played a Shadow Knight for years in EQ and I've just always been attracted to the whole unholy knight thing. I will definately buy the expansion and unlock/play one even if they suck as bad as Warlocks used to.

my solution to not burning out is twinking. it's actually taken over levelling for me. the highest i've gotten to with any of my characters is 57.... but i have 6 29's geared to the teeth.

it's kinda like having a really advanced version of street fighter II where i can jump into a ctf match with dhalsim or ryu or chun li.

That confuses me in a lore sense. Why would a death knight be working for the alliance or horde? By definition I thought a death knight had to be working for the lich king. Or at least created by him. And why would he create death knights that wouldn't work for him/go against him? Also, night elf or gnome death knight? That'd be weird. Blizzard really doesn't seem to care about their lore at all.

It seems that the DK's for the Horde are working for themselves, and the ones for Alliance are trying to "atone" for their sins. Both pretty flimsy reasons.

From a lore standpoint, Death Knights would probably be Forsaken only, as they are all undead creatures who now have "free will". Abominations, Banshees, Ghouls etc. Death Knights would fit right in.

I don't think Blizzard has stated the lore reasons yet anyway. It's still very early and things are subject to change.

Just quit this weak ass game, what a waste of a year, atleast I got 300 dollars for my hunters acct, pvp is terrible. I started playing because all my friends and guildies from daoc came to play wow. Now half of us went back to playing DAOC, still the best pvp system ever made on a mmo imo.

Hey. This is my first post in quite some time. Figured i'd drop in and say hey to anyone who might remember me. At any rate i've been playing this game for...well i have 192 days played, over 2 toons, 70 warrior-raggalopps and 70 mage - Phrack...both on the Kul Tiras server. the warrior was my main pre BC, then retired him just before I really started in on KZ. Phrack gets most the attention these days, with a pretty tight raiding schedule and a good group of people in my guild. We have KZ cleared by 3 groups every week, have the High King and Gruul on farm status. We're currently workin on Void Reaver and Mag..who knows, maybe this week is our lucky attempt. if anybody is on kul Tiras look me up!

As a side note about the new expansion annoncement...imagining the time that is going to go into that is overwhelming. I'll worry about it when it gets released I guess.
