Neither its Jimbo. Bart gets the wig and Nelson gets the book of carpet samples.

ok my question: What band does mr. Burns want killed after his birthday song?

RedCometChar 06-09-2004 12:13 PM

The Rolling Stones, even though it was the Ramones that called him an old bastard.

Identify what's on at least two of the jackets worn by Los Souvenir Jaquitos.

Kostya 06-10-2004 02:51 AM

Planet Hollywood and Hard Rock Cafe.

Kadath 06-10-2004 06:26 AM

I could only think of the Hard Rock one. Damn dang darn!

RedCometChar 06-10-2004 10:14 AM

Also, Jurassic Park and the Tazmanian Devil. Carry on!

Kostya 06-10-2004 02:54 PM

Wicked...

EQ: On which show does Marge participate in a debate with Roger Meiers, Krusty and Dr. Marvin Munroe?

IDQ: What are the names of Mr. Burns' bees?

MexicanOnABike 06-10-2004 04:22 PM

i dont know the name of the show but it's the one about ichy&scratchy violence... marge was trying to cancel it or change the violence level.

Kostya 06-11-2004 06:01 PM

Kent Brockman: 'Tonight on Smartline, are cartoons to violent for children? Most people would say No! What kind of stupid question is that! but one woman says... Yes!'

Burns: 'That's right, gather the nectar to make the honey, honey for your children... FOOLS!'

*Smithers arrives*

Burns: 'Ah Smithers I gald you're here, let me introduce you to the gang, that's Buzz, that's Honey and you see that queen over there, her name is Smithers.'

Smithers: 'Well that's very flattering Sir, but could we go, several bees are stinging me right now.'

Kostya 06-11-2004 06:03 PM

Ok EQ: According to Apu, what can you never harm?

IDQ: What is the only time Itchy has been seen dead on screen?

The5thCandidate 06-11-2004 08:24 PM

Does that Fantasia style episode count?

RedCometChar 06-11-2004 11:03 PM

A Twinkie. Also, Itchy laughed himself into a heart attack after Scratchy's bomb-wife blew him up. (That's a very odd sentence I just typed.)

What's the secret word that keeps Stampy the elephant from maiming people? Spelling's not important. :)

jerome1082 06-12-2004 12:47 AM

Magumbo.

What are the effects of the Army experiment Homer takes to get out of dinner with patty and selma?

choskins 06-12-2004 04:37 AM

hair loss, giddiness, and loss of equilibrium

choskins 06-12-2004 04:45 AM

Why did Homer get sent to the mental institution?

Kostya 06-12-2004 06:00 AM

He wore a pink shirt to work.

'Smithers these new colour monitors are paying for themselves already.'

Nice one Redcomet chair, I totally forgot that one. Actually I was thinking of a different thing, so I will rephrase the question.

What is the only time Itchy has been seen dead after being killed by Scratchy?

(This does not relate to the episode which is rudely interrupted by the nerd who unplugs the TV. To give you a clue, Bart and Lisa would never have seen this episode.)

EQ to pass the time: What is the name of Mr. Burns' autobiography?

Bonus if you can tell me when it reappears in a later episode and why.

The5thCandidate 06-12-2004 03:46 PM

Wasn't it called something like "Will There Ever Be a Rainbow?"
Don't recall the reappearance, however.

Kostya 06-12-2004 05:05 PM

Correct dude,

The subsequent appearance was in 'The Old Man and the Lisa' when Mr. Burns goes broke. Burns comments that he's worth a hundred million. Lisa holds up 'Will There Ever Be a Rainbow' and says: 'But according to your most recent autobiography you're only worth fifty million dollars.'

The5thCandidate 06-12-2004 05:36 PM

What is the full name - including middle name(s) - of the founder of Springfield?

noahfor 06-12-2004 11:18 PM

hans "jebidiah springfield" sprungfeld?

Derwood 06-13-2004 05:20 AM

Yes, and that question has been asked before (You didn't read the previous 18 pages of posts?) he he he

The5thCandidate 06-13-2004 09:09 AM

Perhaps I should have been more specific. I'll restate the question: What is the full name - including middle name(s) - that Hans Sprungfeld used to hide his identity?

The5thCandidate 06-14-2004 10:03 AM

Alright, it's been 24 hours. His name was Jebediah Obediah Zachariah Jedediah Springfield.

Okay, so next question: What is the name of the Curator of the Springfield Historical Society?

Kadath 06-14-2004 12:06 PM

Hollis Hurlbut, as voiced by Donald Sutherland.

Just to stay in that vein and duck out from under the question, for how long were Lisa, her children, and her children's children banned from the Springfield Historical Society? This could actually be tough, as the Fox affilliate around me has a tendency to cut off the last few seconds before a commercial break, so I haven't actually heard this spoken in quite some time.

noahfor 06-14-2004 02:21 PM

3 months?

Kadath 06-14-2004 04:06 PM

Correct.

Derwood 06-14-2004 04:08 PM

noahfor is up

noahfor 06-14-2004 11:37 PM

wow. let's see. i lost my simpsons guide book somewhere in the basement bathroom, so... In the renaissance festival episode, the one where the gypsy tells lisa her future, what are the names of two of the creatures in chief wiggums mythical petting zoo, and give their descriptions.

The5thCandidate 06-15-2004 10:51 AM

I don't know about the spelling, but there was the esquilax, a horse with the head of a rabbit and the body of a rabbit, and the legendary two-headed hound born with only one head.

The5thCandidate 06-16-2004 09:08 AM

Well I'm going to assume that that's correct and ask my question: In the episode when Bart and Ralph have their play-date, when the two of them, on a wild escapade throughout the city, encounter Jimbo Jones and the gang, Bart is reffered to as a(n) ________ for hanging out with Ralph, a(n) __________. (fill in the blanks)

noahfor 06-17-2004 09:59 AM

lameroid, lamewad

Kadath 06-17-2004 10:05 AM

The5thCandidate 06-17-2004 10:18 AM

Good enough, go ahead.

noahfor 06-17-2004 09:35 PM

Ok, what was the name of the grammar robot, and what were his last words?

Kostya 06-18-2004 12:16 AM

'Correction.. [crap I forget] IS dead!'

explodes

jerome1082 06-18-2004 01:10 AM

"Correction....Linguo IS dead." and Homer shuts his eyes, he already exploded thats how homer found his head.

Kadath 06-18-2004 05:13 AM

Kostya, you threw that one! I refuse to believe the master forgot the name of the robot AND got the circumstances wrong! I don't believe in nothing no more! I'm going to law school!

Kostya 06-18-2004 07:57 AM

OK ok, I remembered the name and circumstances like an hour later, but I didn't come back to edit it...

Homer: 'LINGUO, DEAD?!"

Linguo: 'Correction, Linguo IS dead!'

noahfor 06-18-2004 11:46 AM

ok, jerome is up, it looks like

jerome1082 06-18-2004 09:29 PM

What did Alan Wrench need to live?

MexicanOnABike 06-18-2004 09:58 PM

i don';t even know what episode thats from!

RedCometChar 06-18-2004 10:30 PM

He needs Tungsten. Tungsten!

Who invented the Bra Bomb in the film, "School of Hard Knockers"?

jerome1082 06-19-2004 05:39 AM

Nerdlinger as comissioned by Corey Masterson

What are the names of the 4 sub-lands at Itchy and Scratchy Land?

The5thCandidate 06-21-2004 10:58 AM

Explosion Land, Torture Land, Unnecessary Surgery Land, and Searing Gas Pain Land.

What is the original first line of "Baby on Board", when Homer first gets the idea for the song and begins writing it?

rockzilla 06-21-2004 11:41 AM

"Baby on Board... something something Burt Ward"

When Bart sees his future at the Indian casino, what treasure does Homer spend his time looking for?

Kadath 06-21-2004 11:58 AM

Lincoln's gold! 87 paces from a random spot leads you to the floor above the Oval Office, apparently.

In the episode where the power plant employees have to hike up a mountain to get to a cabin as a teamwork exercise, Homer and Mr Burns hallucinate armies for each other. Mr. Burns has snowmen; Homer has "political powers." Who appears on Homer's side and what weapon does each have?

Derwood 06-21-2004 12:59 PM

That's too much info man! I know that Lincoln was in there somewhere, some german guy from WWI, and, uh, they had a mace I think...

Kostya 06-22-2004 04:43 AM

Homer has Gandhi, the Pope, maybe Martin Luther King and like Mother Teresa or something, they all have badarse weapons. I think Mahatma has nunchucks.

Kadath 06-22-2004 01:34 PM

Apparently this was much, much harder than I thought.
Homer had Lincoln with a pocket watch, Teddy Roosevelt with his big stick, Ghandi was a kick-boxer and Mao Tse Tung... I don't know.

That's the right characters, but when I thought about the weapons I couldn't remember what Mao had, so it was an unfair question. Someone else.

Kostya 06-22-2004 09:49 PM

What is Miss Hoover's first name?

The5thCandidate 06-23-2004 01:10 PM

Elizabeth, I believe.

Alright, while on the subject: According to Miss Elizabeth Hoover, what kind of word is "embiggens"?

00111000 06-23-2004 01:33 PM

Embiggens is a perfectly croumulent word

The5thCandidate 06-23-2004 03:08 PM

Bing!
Ask away.

00111000 06-23-2004 03:25 PM

I use that word whenever the chance presents itself...I love the look people give you. Anyway, What medical school did Dr Nick attend?

jerome1082 06-24-2004 01:44 AM

California Upstairs Medical College.

During Krusty's anniversary special (that lisa attends with ralph)who is the sideshow character Krusty simply calls "an Angry Young Man"?

note: may often get cut off in syndication, so this may be hard.

Kadath 06-24-2004 04:55 AM

It's Hollywood Upstairs Medical College.

And the answer to the above question IS cut off by syndication.

00111000 06-24-2004 08:34 AM

Kadath is correct. What is the ruling here :)

Derwood 06-24-2004 08:38 AM

We're starting to repeat questions. The Hollywood Upstairs Medical College was asked before.

00111000 06-24-2004 09:35 AM

I was afraid of that...I didnt read all the pages of questions :|

Derwood 06-24-2004 05:46 PM

Maybe at some point I'll compile a master list of all the questions asked so far.

Kadath 06-24-2004 06:25 PM

How would that even work? It would have to be a separate page, text searchable.

Anyway, we've gotten sidetracked. The answer to the next question is Sideshow Raheem, who is an anrgy, angry young man.

In the episode when Homer becomes a giant fat man, he approves the release of radioactive gas which kills a large field of corn. The farmer who cares for that corn laments the death of the corn. What is his lament?

rockzilla 06-24-2004 07:38 PM

That Paul Neuman is gonna have his legs broke?

I don't really have a trivia question, but anyone who can find out what other 'corrections' scroll up the screen during the 'Rock Bottom' show that showed Groundskeeper Willie's tape of Homer grabbing the Gummi Venus and not the girl's Sweet Can, can ask the next question.

rockzilla 06-25-2004 05:03 PM

Kadath, you are the man.

And I have a question now.

Who did Milhouse trade Bart's soul to, and what did he get for it?

Derwood 06-25-2004 05:21 PM

Was it comic book guy, and he got Alf Pog's?

rockzilla 06-25-2004 06:17 PM

That's right Derwood

Derwood 06-25-2004 08:55 PM

Ok, cool.

Here's a hard one (unless you're Kadath):

In the episode when Lisa hangs out at Springfield U. and pretends to be a college student, what is the title of the Itchy & Scratchy cartoon they watch in class?

Kadath 06-26-2004 05:28 PM

My knowledge is inconsistent at best.

If only I had cable TV...

You guys get Simpsons like 10 times more often than I do...

Derwood 06-26-2004 07:07 PM

Sorry to mix up my K's....I would've though Kostya could get this one.

I actually tried looking it up onlne and this episode isn't listed in most Itchy and Scratchy episode guides.

Is it a stumper yet?

RedCometChar 06-26-2004 10:14 PM

I do know that the moral is that the depletion of resources has pitted America's farmers against each other... and birds go tweet.

Derwood 06-27-2004 06:45 AM

The answer is:

"Butter of Dead". It's when Itchy and Scratchy are Amish.

I concede the floor to another question asker...

Derwood 06-28-2004 07:23 PM

Ok, I'll ask:

Who is Krusty's more famous half-brother (or step brother?)

Kostya 06-28-2004 08:40 PM

Luke Perry.

Who are the famous Springfielders who sing with Krusty on 'We're Sendin our Love down the well'?

Bonus if you can tell me which track becomes number one after Sendin Our Love Down the Well plummets allllllll the way to number 97!?

rockzilla 06-28-2004 08:49 PM

I remember seeing Kent Brockman, The Capital City Goofball, Bleeding Gums Murphy (maybe Dr. Monroe?) I'm sure I'm missing a bunch though.
The next #1 song was "I Do Believe We're Naked" by Funky See, Funky Do.
I'll try to think of something to ask while waiting confirmation.

Derwood 06-30-2004 02:22 PM

Go ahead and ask rockzilla, as Kostya is out to lunch it seems

rockzilla 06-30-2004 05:25 PM

Alright, why did Krusty decide to fake his death?

Kadath 06-30-2004 07:30 PM

Quote:

He owed a lot of money to IRS, and had become poor thanks to Bart wanting his signature and giving Krusty a check, which Krusty stamped instead of signing, revealing that he had illegal offshore accounts? I remember that his new life was insured for a lot and he was going to use that to pay his bill. Correct?
"Oh crap! I certainly shouldn't have said he was a customer! It's too hot today."

rockzilla 07-01-2004 10:10 AM

Correct, although I would have accepted as little as 'tax evasion'

SuperJay 07-01-2004 02:34 PM

I have one. Not sure how hard it is so I will make it a two part question.

What did the Simpsons have for dinner when the invited Frank Grimes to dinner and what does it say on Frank's grave stone?

I haven't had time to read through the entire thread so if this has already been asked sorry.

Derwood 07-01-2004 03:47 PM

They had Lobster for dinner.

The grave stone answer is on the tip of my tongue...

RedCometChar 07-01-2004 10:01 PM

Quote:

I don't say "evasion". I say "avoision". :D

In that particular episode, it only had his name, but in a later one, it read "Frank Grimes (Homer's Enemy)". Derwood answered the first part, so he gets dibs.

SuperJay 07-02-2004 04:23 AM

It was the one where Frank's son came to kill Homer that you see the grave stone again.

Go ahead Derwood.

Derwood 07-02-2004 05:18 AM

Okay...

When Krusty is trying to make his comeback, he is signed on to a comedy concert with several other comedians (where "the acoustics are real bad in here")

Name the other comedians on the bill

Kostya 07-02-2004 06:16 PM

Jay Leno
That chick Garfolo or whatever, she was in mystery men...
That's all I can think of crap...

SuperJay 07-03-2004 08:19 AM

Are you talking about his comeback special after Krusty gets cancelled, or when he is trying to reinvent himself as a comedian?

The comeback special 'A Klown and his Friends' guest stared: Johnny Carson, Bette Midler, Luke Perry, Hugh Hefner and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.

The other one, 'The last Temptation of Krust' guest stared:- Jay Leno, Bruce Baum, Janeane Garofalo, Bobcat Goldthwait, Hank Williams Jr. and Steven Wright.
Obviously these are not all comedians but I thought I would just list them all.

Derwood 07-03-2004 04:44 PM

SuperJay 07-03-2004 07:59 PM

It the episode where Lisa become the president, who was her predecessor?

Derwood 07-03-2004 08:39 PM

Keanu Reeves? (Wild, WILD guess)

SuperJay 07-04-2004 09:55 AM

LOL, great guess, but sorry no.

noahfor 07-04-2004 10:07 AM

SuperJay 07-04-2004 05:00 PM

Sorry, no.

The Simpsons move to Cypress Creek.

What is Homer's lifelong dream in this episode, and what does he get instead?

To own the Dallas Cowboys. Instead he gets the Denver Broncos (to Homer's dismay) who, ironically won the Super Bowl the next two years after the original air date

Hmm...in the episode where Lisa wants to outlaw light pollution, what is the highest setting on the street lights(which is used, causing all the animals to go crazy and everyone to suffer sleep deprivation)?

Key 07-05-2004 07:20 PM

haha, nice. i pass the ball to you, my friend.

MexicanOnABike 07-06-2004 08:35 PM

let's get some easier ones here! i know my simpsons but not that good at 1am in the morning!

Kadath 07-07-2004 06:20 AM

All right. The answer to my question is "Permanoon."

Someone ask an easy one -- nothing comes to mind.

Key 07-07-2004 07:16 AM

umm.. easy huh.

what did krusty do to repay the kids for the hell he put them through at kamp krusty?
