buclao 02-20-2004 03:00 PM

Close enough for me. Go ahead, ask away

BTW, it was the Happy Smile Super Challenge Family Wish Show

Kaos 02-20-2004 07:03 PM

Ah shit...that's right. Tough question man.

How does the carneys trick Homer and family out of their house?

silent_jay 02-20-2004 08:39 PM

They send them on a glass bottom boat ride. I'll wait to see if I am correct

Derwood 02-22-2004 09:08 AM

Can someone confirm if this answer is right please?

shred_head 02-22-2004 10:59 AM

I'm pretty sure that's correct.

silent_jay 02-22-2004 11:09 AM

I'll go ahead if it's wrong disregard my question.

How much did the car cost that Homer designed for Powell Motors?

NatureBoy 02-22-2004 04:16 PM

82,000

What was the name of the music store next to Moe's Tavern?

buclao 02-22-2004 06:25 PM

King Toot

What is Mr Burns son name and who voiced him?

silent_jay 02-22-2004 07:46 PM

Larry Burns- voiced over by the hillarious and never aging Rodney Dangerfield.

I'll await confirmation

shred_head 02-22-2004 08:58 PM

Yes that is correct. Post your question. Questions referring to actors are not allowed, check page 1.

silent_jay 02-22-2004 09:20 PM

keeping with the same theme- what was the name of the car company that bought Powell Motors?

buclao 02-23-2004 04:34 PM

I'm sorry about that, my fault. As for the question i'm not really sure, the only thing I remember is that it started with a Ku... something

Kadath 02-24-2004 01:19 PM

Kumatsu!

In "22 Short films about Springfield" what reason does Professor Frink give for his lateness when he arrives at the end of the show?

Kadath 02-26-2004 06:11 AM

silent_jay 02-26-2004 05:12 PM

What were the names of Apu's octuplets?

Kadath 02-27-2004 06:31 AM

I'd like to state for the record that that is a bullshit question, sir. I request a different one.

silent_jay 02-27-2004 07:28 AM

Might I ask why this is a bullshit question, if the answer is: Poonam, Sashi, Pria, Uma, Anoop, Sandeep, Nabendu, and Gheet. You see a bullshit question would have been one with no answer, and as you can see this question clearly has an answer. Ask your own question I already asked one and someone seemed to whine about it.

Derwood 02-27-2004 07:31 AM

i'm guessing he's calling it a bullshit question because it would be nearly impossible to know that without looking it up online, and the spirit of this thread (as I intended it) was to not have people look stuff up in order to answer the questions.

silent_jay 02-27-2004 07:52 AM

Thanks for the clarification Derwood, I have the episode on my computer so that's where I got the answer from. I will let someone else ask the next question as I have caused this confusion and I do not have a question prepared. My appologies about not totally understanding the rules and it will not happen again.

Derwood 02-27-2004 09:14 AM

No prob man.

In "Treehouse of Terror 1", what is the FULL name of the cookbook the aliens use?

shred_head 02-27-2004 10:40 AM

"How to cook for forty humans."

What happens to Ken Griffey Jr. in "Homer at the Bat" and what is it a result from?

Kadath 02-27-2004 11:26 AM

First, apologies to jay. I was needlessly harsh in my statement. I should have been clearer in my complaint. Derwood, you were right on.
I think Griffey suffers gigantism from drinking the health tonic Mr Burns pushes on him...I seem to remember him with enormous hands, feet and head in a wheelchair in the closing photo...but that might be a different player...am I right?

silent_jay 02-27-2004 05:08 PM

I believe that is correct. Can anyone confirm?

Derwood 02-27-2004 07:34 PM

Yes, that's right.

Kadath 02-27-2004 08:33 PM

So that makes it mine. Hmm...

What are the ingredients on the "Isotope Dog Supreme" in the episode where Homer goes on a hunger strike to keep the Isotopes in Springfield (called Hungry Hungry Homer)?

rockzilla 02-27-2004 09:53 PM

Mangoes, onions, and jalapenos?

If I'm right, what are the names of Ned and Homers other wives?

Kadath 02-28-2004 12:21 PM

You're close enough. Officially it's mango-lime salsa, mesquite grilled onions, jalapeņo relish.

buclao 02-28-2004 09:28 PM

Ned - Ginger
Homer - Amber

Finish this quote,

Derwood 03-02-2004 11:12 AM

Kadath 03-02-2004 03:27 PM

Rusty the Clown, Funky Winkerbean, The Noid.

Go ahead and ask.

Boruki 03-02-2004 05:57 PM

Kadath 03-02-2004 07:21 PM

This is sort of an odd one. Name three of the pets Bart has had (Snowball/Snowball II and Santa's Little Helper don't count).

rockzilla 03-02-2004 08:43 PM

Stompy the Elephant
Laddie the Golden Retriever
Duncan/Furious D the Racehorse - I think Homer owned him, but Bart was the jockey, does that count?

What is the name of the chemical pheromone that causes bullies to attack nerds?

Kadath 03-03-2004 06:16 AM

I'm certainly satisfied. Stampy. :)

Poindextrose! I always laughed my ass off at that line.
Hmmm...
What's the name of Burns' teddy bear?

gremlinx8 03-03-2004 06:23 AM

Bobo?

shred_head 03-03-2004 07:28 AM

That's correct, ask your question.

gremlinx8 03-03-2004 12:11 PM

What is the name that movie star Sara Sloane gives Ned to ask for her as at the hotel?

Kadath 03-04-2004 02:30 PM

This might be a stumper.

teph 03-04-2004 07:20 PM

yeah, I have no idea - ask another; it's been a day.

Derwood 03-05-2004 06:13 AM

What US state were the Simpsons going to?

Derwood 03-06-2004 04:00 PM

buclao 03-06-2004 04:09 PM

Derwood 03-06-2004 08:26 PM

What is the name of the police chief who is hired to replace Wiggum when Homer is the Beer Baron?

teph 03-06-2004 10:20 PM

Rex Banner

Favorite quote from that one:

"I'll get you, Beer Baron."

"Yes, I will"
. . . . . . . "nope"

Give me just a few to come up with one.

teph 03-06-2004 10:28 PM

How much money does Martin put towards buying Radioactive Man #1?

Kadath 03-07-2004 07:30 AM

Damn! Isn't it the same amount as what the giant Pog costs?

teph 03-07-2004 08:44 AM

Hah, I don't remember, actually - I'll have to go back and watch it again, but I think that's what he's there to buy.

Kadath 03-07-2004 03:17 PM

I'm trying to envision the price under the Pog (with Steve Irwin or whatever his name is on it, "inventor of the pog" :))
I keep coming up with $200.

That's the amount I keep thinking. I think I remember the price of the comic to be $250.

Martin has 200, Milhouse has 40 and Bart chips in 10. Or something close to that.

teph 03-07-2004 06:42 PM

No, the comic cost them much less than that. Keep hacking at it, though.

Kadath 03-08-2004 06:41 AM

Fine. $50. If that's wrong, I guess some other number. Another question is called for soon, I think.

opackfan 03-08-2004 08:25 AM

the pog was 250 i believe, the same price as bleedin gums only record after he dies

teph 03-08-2004 11:05 AM

Eh, this question sucked. The answer's $40. Someone else ask one.

Kadath 03-08-2004 12:17 PM

How about:
Complete this lyric:
"Bart was feeling mighty blue
It's a shame what school can do

Those were the days!"

RedCometChar 03-08-2004 10:01 PM

It's been about 24 hours, the answer is "Green vegetables and homework"

I'll ask another one : What was the name of Homer's helper monkey?

buclao 03-10-2004 05:03 PM

Mojo

What "instrument" does Homer give Lisa to replace her stolen sax?

Kaos 03-10-2004 08:45 PM

A Beer Jug...some kind of Alcohol Jug to blow into.

Derwood 03-10-2004 09:22 PM

**A Note**

My dog is named Mojo, and yes, he was named after the helper monkey.

Who fixed Marge's doorbell, and what song was it playing?

Kaos 03-12-2004 07:10 PM

Senor Ding-Dong...and the song was (Can't remember the actual title of the song) "Why do birds suddenly appear, every time you are near"

WarWagon 03-12-2004 07:12 PM

Yep, by the Carpenters. Your question.

Kadath 03-13-2004 01:03 PM

Ah, Senor Ding Dong! "Does anyone have any jumper cables?"

Derwood 03-14-2004 06:52 AM

It's all you Kaos

Kaos 03-14-2004 07:54 AM

Sorry about that. In the episode when Barney takes Homer's car to New York, how did they decide who was going to be the Designated Driver at Moe's?

Kadath 03-14-2004 12:17 PM

Whoever drew the black pickled egg. Barney squishes it and it runs through his fingers...ugh!

What are the three businesses destroyed by the Lisa Log?

Kadath 03-15-2004 11:05 AM

Okay, it's been almost a day. The answer is "Omni-Pave, Kentucky Fried Panda and Hemp City."

List three illegal activities that take place in international waters in the episode where Homer house-sits for Mr. Burns.

lalalapi 03-15-2004 12:29 PM

1) Mike Tyson's fight, "Slaughter in the Water," with the horse Secretariat
2) Cap'n McAllister marries a man and a cow, presenting the couple with a basket of illegal fireworks after the cow breaks the ritual wedding glass.
3) Homer and company enjoy "the simple joys of a monkey knife fight."

What excuse does Homer use on his insurance form for buying Dimoxinil?

Kadath 03-15-2004 01:32 PM

"To keep brain from freezing"?

Although technically, the doctor fills out the form, not Homer, I think.
Incidentally, other illegal activities were selling alcohol before 2 PM and rebroadcasting MLB with implied oral consent, not express written consent.

justinh28 03-15-2004 01:59 PM

where's the next (?)?

Kadath 03-15-2004 02:58 PM

I wasn't sure my answer was right. Are you offering to confirm?

lalalapi 03-15-2004 06:32 PM

I can't recall if it was Homer or the doctor who actually filled out the form, but he definitely responded with that explanation. I was thinking about mentioning the rebroadcasting, or even the bullfighting to round out the animal-themed illegal activities, but tried to stick with potential crimes that occurred on Mr. Burn's yacht itself.

So, yeah, please feel free to pose the next.

Kadath 03-16-2004 05:08 AM

Hmm. Well, how about an easy one. Who wins the mini golf playoff between Bart and Todd?

Derwood 03-16-2004 08:05 AM

They agree to a tie in an unusual display of Simpsons/Flanders comraderie

Kadath 03-16-2004 09:47 AM

Correct! And the golf course cheats them by giving them each a check for $25 (half of the first prize) rather than $30 (half of first prize plus second prize). Your question, sir.

Derwood 03-16-2004 04:26 PM
