Being patient is one of the biggest for me (I tend to get just a TAD irrational when I have my period). Simple compliments are always nice. Just taking extra time to spend with her/ do for her (dinner, movie, or just getting her a drink). Back rubs. If you want to go the 'buying her things' route.. Normally, we have sex after the heavy day. The only problem with sex during her period is that it may add an extra day or two of bleeding. Aside from that, it's quite fine. Just remember to use lubrication because the vagina does not generate as much lubrication as usual.

Personally, Im not grossed out by blood. The blood is actually very clean--similar to blood that comes out when you cut yourself. The vagina is actually much cleaner that one's mouth so, periods really are not dirty.

My gf loves sex during her period and Im lucky that Im all for it. If you love someone, I guess you can do anything.

Foot rubs!! I get a lot of cramping and there is an acupressure point on the foot that relieves the cramping so much. It's between the joints of the big toe and then next toe over. With you facing her head and her foot on you thigh, place your thumb on the ball of her foot between the big toe joint and then next joint. Just rubbing in any way or steady pressure can give so much relief. If she has any cramping it will make her feel so much better. We may not act like we need to hear that, and you might not feel like you want to say so, but saying things like that during PMS and period will earn you major points. In general, be sweet. Some girls are lucky and don't have such a bad time of it. Some girls have a really rough time. Whatever the situation, doing the little things that show you care and want to be with us no matter what are wonderful. A little extra attention, help around the house, general stuff like that speaks volumes for you. And if we are too hormonal or distracted to notice how wonderful you are at the time, odds are we'll realize how wonderful you are at some point. Don't despair. That's when girls like me need to most help.
