All you "certified geniuses" should try this link:
http://www.mensa.org/workout.html It's a better test of your intellect than the IQ test given on emode. BTW- NASA and the CIA are monitoring you guys with the high IQ's |

I don't want to jack this thread, but be aware that this IQ test is BS. There are questions in there that tailor specifically to anglo-american knowledge... In essence, fill-in-the-blanks for quotes that usually only white people would be exposed to. That in itself invalidates this "great" test designed by *oooooh* Ph.Ds.
Furthermore, I hope you're not doing this for a project because any survey where the sample you draw from is voluntary and not controlled (like this one) is completely bogus. If you're just doing it for your own amusement however... IQ - 133 Political ~ I didn't take this test again, but last time I took it a couple months ago it lumped me with Ghandi. |

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -6.41 IQ according to emode: Something between 140 and 150 (I don't recall... I took it a while ago) IQ according to actual IQ test: 140something again. Again, I can't remember the real number, but it was around 146. And just for the record, I think that political affiliation test was a *little* biased towards making you a liberal (Questions like "Do you support a woman's right to choose or are you a filthy mongrel?" [/SLIGHT EXAGGERATION]) However, I have also noticed a trend towards liberalism on the TFP. Despite the wide range of opinions, I simply notice *more* liberals agreeing with each other than conservatives arguing with them. So the general results we're seeing don't seem too far off. I dunno. |

with an emode IQ of 149 which I believe to be grossly inaccurate as they told me I had great math skills which is patently not true. I think I just got 10 math questions I knew the answer to; I may have missed the next 10 if there were 20 of them. Not that this is in any way measurable, but I think you're going to see all the scores inflated, whether as a result of deficiencies in the emode test or deficiencies in people’s honesty (particularly if one side seems to be coming off worse). However, as a longtime lurker, newbie poster I would just like to say I am pleasantly surprised at the number of fellow lefties that I see displayed here. (Unless you’re all lying about that too as a result of Bush induced embarrassment). |

Well john Henry...I think the real question here is if you are a "steel drivin man", or a "graph plotter". Apparently you started this mess in September 2003, and except for the few posts today, it effectively ended in June 2004. You have about 100 responses, valid or not, but where the shit is our promised graph? We all took the silly test, and apparently some of us put a great deal of thought into coming up with a suitable IQ...but what we want are GRAPHS!
For the record and so you don't think i'm just fucking with you, I am 5.38 / 2.05 121 IQ, and thats gotta be the truth...nobody would make one up that low. by the way"fuzyfuzer"...I'll follow you anywhere... LoL |

Social Libertarian/Authoritarian -2.97 IQ on emode came out at 140 - while that is flattering and possible, I've generally tested around the 130 mark. I think I'm smart but not a genius - which 140 is usually categorized as. I'm also a Visionary Philosopher!

IS the opposite true because geniuses have realized how unimportant material posessions are? Last edited by balderdash111; 07-30-2004 at 04:08 PM.. |

VTBrian: Its true that those online tests are not very accurate but you shouldnt be surprised because they are online and are hosted on websites made for entertainment. I have not seen any one of those tests list a reliability or validity coefficient which is the standard for any true IQ test. Still, even if you take into account the inaccuracy of those tests, you should realize that people are fibbing about their scores. I am not calling anyone out in particular but I think anyone with a fair amount of knowledge about the bell curve and IQ tests would realize how unlikely it is for all these people on one website (without an entrance exam) to score so astronomically high. Now before everyone attacks me, I will be the first to admit that I am not a genius and I know that because I have taken a group form of the MABII (For a class but still under reasonable conditions) and a Stanford Binet (ordered by a psychologist in grade school) These two tests both indicated I fall far short of being a genius(130). I will admit that it sucks to be normal when it comes to intelligence but this thread has gotten so crazy that I had to make mention of the improbability of these results. I truly dont mean for this to be an offensive post, though I know it will be interpreted by some as a direct challenge. So, if anyone feels I am being unfair and that they deserve to be acknowledged as a genius please feel free to post a scan of your results on a major IQ test(Wais, Stanford Binet, MABII, etc). If thats asking too much feel free to post your scaled scores, VIQ, PIQ, and FSIQ along with the test you took, age you were when you took it, and reasons for taking it. By doing this, you can verify that I know what I am talking about because I will have to get ahold of the conversion charts of the test (which I will be more than willing to do). Again, I am not pointing fingers at any one person, I am just giving a heads up so that people realize how foolish this thread has become.
