VTBrian: Its true that those online tests are not very accurate but you shouldnt be surprised because they are online and are hosted on websites made for entertainment. I have not seen any one of those tests list a reliability or validity coefficient which is the standard for any true IQ test. Still, even if you take into account the inaccuracy of those tests, you should realize that people are fibbing about their scores. I am not calling anyone out in particular but I think anyone with a fair amount of knowledge about the bell curve and IQ tests would realize how unlikely it is for all these people on one website (without an entrance exam) to score so astronomically high. Now before everyone attacks me, I will be the first to admit that I am not a genius and I know that because I have taken a group form of the MABII (For a class but still under reasonable conditions) and a Stanford Binet (ordered by a psychologist in grade school) These two tests both indicated I fall far short of being a genius(130). I will admit that it sucks to be normal when it comes to intelligence but this thread has gotten so crazy that I had to make mention of the improbability of these results. I truly dont mean for this to be an offensive post, though I know it will be interpreted by some as a direct challenge. So, if anyone feels I am being unfair and that they deserve to be acknowledged as a genius please feel free to post a scan of your results on a major IQ test(Wais, Stanford Binet, MABII, etc). If thats asking too much feel free to post your scaled scores, VIQ, PIQ, and FSIQ along with the test you took, age you were when you took it, and reasons for taking it. By doing this, you can verify that I know what I am talking about because I will have to get ahold of the conversion charts of the test (which I will be more than willing to do). Again, I am not pointing fingers at any one person, I am just giving a heads up so that people realize how foolish this thread has become.
