Adding to the withdrawal symptoms:
Occasional random twitches in your neck, shoulders, back for no damn reason. Kinda feels like there's someone touching the back of your neck making your hairs stand up so bad that your body automatically twitches to make it go away.
Myself and about a dozen of my friends that have smoked and stopped have experienced this for over a year. It happens with higher frequency between 1 and 10 months and isn't so bad afterwards, but seems to disappear completely after about 1 1/2 years.

Also the most paranoid I have ever been was my first trip on DXM. I was smoking hookah in my car outside my parents house while tripping on it and I kept on thinking that someone was going to come up to the car and like open it and either like arrest me (cop) or kill me (some random tweaker) So I would lock the door. A couple minutes later I was like oh shit I'm tripping so much, what if this kills me or something, I want my parents to be able to find me and get in the car, so I'd unlock it. I would keep on going back and forth on this for hours in between hallucinations. It really didn't help when I could only see out of one eye when the trip started to come down. I was so freaked out thinking I would die that I got on myspace and wrote a blog of what I did and what was happening so others would know why I died. After I decided to just lay down and go to bed I would close my eyes and the room would still be there so I opened them and it was still there. I closed them and it was there but different, like a still picture so I couldn't like look somewhere else and see another part of my room like I could with my eyes open. Whatever I looked at before I closed my eyes remained the still picture very clear and vivid when my eyes were closed. I was so tripping and paranoid then because no matter what I couldn't turn off what I was seeing. My heartbeat has got up to 168bpm while on it, I noticed it was going rather fast so I turned watched the clock for 15 seconds counted the beats and multiplied by 4, it varied the times I did that from 130bpm to 168bpm. It was ridiculous.

A long time ago, I dated a musician who couldn't handle "pot' but loved LSD.

He said that the pot made him paranoid, but that the acid made him feel creative and happy.

Go figure.

For me, I stoppped smoking pot & snorting coke, cuz it made me very paranoid and unhappy after a while. Not to mention "Broke". Big Time. Now that I'm older and wiser, I prefer an nice chilled chardonnay.

(But note; I used to LOVE getting high & extremely twisted for a long, long time & had TONS of fun & no major problems)
And
Yes - No pets or children were harmed during the making of this post

In fact, all my "tripping buddies" have had beautiful, normal smart kids!

most of my friends smoke somewhat regularly. i've given it the 'old college try' but more often than not, weed doesn't do it for me. there's been a handful of times where i feel good, relaxed, stoned, whatever. But many times i feel dizzy, or paranoid. Paranoid as in not thinking we'll be raided by the cops, but if i say something, i'll think "oh man that was stupid, why did i say that, everyone thinks that was stupid" which is pretty weird for me because i'm a pretty social and outgoing guy and regularly 'talk to strangers' --- but in a very comfy setting with close friends, i get the paranoia. Pretty weird.

just do it and forget all the consequences and if weed doesn't do the trick definitely try heavier stuff. LOL I heard that meth stuff makes you big and strong. Try meth and PCP for the ultimate speed ball.

Drunk atm and on 8 OTC sleeping pills, about to do some NO2 and drink some more, but that did make sense to me what he said. He said LOL before it as in joking about the meth, however that part about meth and PCP is kinda accurate, not that I have done either, but I am rather well educated about drugs and now only partake occasionally on some weekends and in those that are guaranteed not to interfere with work in the following week or show up on any drug tests.

lol, I have a hard time believing you'd even be able to operate a computer on that much. But I am getting the idea your posts are a little bit exaggerated.

DXM is a serious drug, and there it is being sold over-the-counter in a store on every other street corner. Funny how the War on Drugs works. It's like most drug users don't even bother with it because it's a legal cough suppressant. But if it's illegal, man it must be good. The combination of DXM and weed is particularly intense and trippy, I mean full-on closed eye visuals like acid. So its not surprising you could get some intense paranoia as well.

I never had much problem with paranoia on DXM or coke but on weed definitely and occasionally psychedelics. I have never found much of a solution other than (1) try to remind myself that I took a drug to get this way and everything will be back to normal in a few hours and (2) wait to come off it. Experience also helps. When you've had several experiences freaking out paranoid over what turned out to be nothing at all you begin to recognize it as nothing to worry about. It's just another feeling or emotion that you can experience like all the others, and some drugs are unpredictable. Also, there are always opiates, benzos, and other downers. I hate to recommend more drugs to solve a drug-related problem, but they could do the trick. It's always good to have a sedative around if you are about to take a possibly intense trip. Just don't take more than the minimum you need if you're already too jacked up on something else or you could have bigger problems than paranoia.

[QUOTE=Axiom_e;1784052]I never new this was paranoid. I thought that it just help me become aware of the infinite possibilities of human interaction. What helps me when i get like this is to remember what I meant when I said it. If they didn't hear what I said then we can talk about it later. I am too busy being stoned to be paranoid.

Well you know they call them weed-flexes(or at least I do) for a reason. Something about slowing down your reaction time.

I just saw this thread, the reason i came on is because i also feel the same way about "weedflex", i was here because i have grown tired of these weed flex's so i was starting to get paranoid about being crazy as i get into a weed flex i too study human interactions but the thing is that ive been deconstructing all my interactions constantly so when im high its like im trying to pre-empt what im saying, i go into bullet time and analyze myself so essentially i am trying to predict what i am saying almost all the time, plus everyone else in sufficient relation to me, which is quite ridiculous and now quite tiring too. Its not what came first the chicken or the egg its like, the chicken and the egg arguing with each other about who came first!

I'll almost always smoke something before anything like a bus ride, a train journey, walking somewhere, going to watch an episode of some shit, going to a movie, going to dinner, lol.

I have found that when all the paranoia is removed from my life, I miss it.

Paranoia adds to the thrill of living.
Surviving through danger, real or imaginary, is triumph.

Weed doesn't make me paranoid though.
I smoke it so rarely anymore, whenever I do it just makes me goofy as hell, and talkative.

Well said.

Weed will make me paranoid if I over do it. Smoking too much or smoking potent bud will cause paranoia and anxiety attacks. I have tried shrooms twice and both times I was miserable. I hear they are enjoyable and I don't doubt it. Although, I won't risk going bat shit crazy again, for several hours, in order to find my correct dose.

Too much of anything will have negative effects. Drugs and alcohol included.

I become anxious and self-conscious around others when sampling hallucinogens, but I've never experienced paranoia. Granted, most of my infrequent experimentation occurs alone, in a serene and familiar environment.

Pot paranoia is nothing compared to the delusions you get after a few days straight on amphetamines. Running to the front door every five minutes (at 4 AM, of course) to listen, because you're convinced the neighbors are outside your door watching you through the keyhole, listening, and monitoring your every move... Hearing their voices every time you make a move (of course, when you pause to listen, they stop)... I don't miss those days.

I find Kush so mind numbing that it is pure enjoyment and very little paranoia.

Some people, the more emotionally laid back, relaxed, maybe stable, can take
weed and most drugs ok, little problem, more positive, surely.
But highly creative people, who tend oversensitivity, overstimulated,
overeverything - artists, poets, writers - can become paranoid in a way
that is not fun, not ok, not cool, not hip, not bearable.
This cannot be brushed over because its politically cool to say that a little
paranoia is ok, good for the soul, getting to know oneself deely and all the
nonsense. Be the highly over the top creative one and you are a goner,
which is why I think it should be banned except for medical reasons when
it really can help disabled people who, in fact, dont tend to be the types
to get crazy with it. When you first take it you dont know how it will effect
you, for many its wonderful, but for many its nightmarish and can trigger
and exacerbate underlying psychosis in those so inclined. There is no
getting away from the fact that no one knows what it will do to them til
theyve taken it, this is one case where I think banning something thats
fine for many is justified by the anguish and torture it can bring to many
others. I usually dont like anything being banned for the sake of some;
but where mental health, stability, sanity are concerned, thats too
important to mess with.

Hi Everyone just joined.

---------- Post added at 12:12 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:11 AM ----------

Hey for those of you who are getting paranoid or are experiencing bad side effects: keep in mind that when you purchase weed of the street it's most likely random parts of a marijuana plant sprayed down in raid (thats right raid--the stuff you use to kill roaches. If you ever heard of lacing weed that is how you do it). Then spray the weed down with deer-sent-cover up(skunk flavor), compress it into buds, put it in a plastic baggy with orange peels, let dry and absorb the sent. The result is good smelling stuff, and if it is compressed and dyed properly it looks like dank buds, but most likely this is the type of shit you find in a little zip and its often served up as "kill"(which is considered "good" shwag). This is exactly why weed needs to be legalized, because there is always someone who is either lazy or plain down and out who will do that and sell it to you--don't ask me how I know .

Trust me you'll never get paranoid if you're smoking weed that you personally watched getting clipped of the plant. I am tired of seeing "i got paranoid offa smoking weed"--because 1) you're not smoking smokable parts 2) your fucking smoking roach spray! So this is a shout out to the paranoid people:REASSESS THE SOURCE OF YOUR WEED BE4 TALKING SHIT!

anyway, i believe its just all just a part of breaking the law. whenever i smoke pot in a comfortable environment i don't get the least bit paranoid.

meth is a different story for me. it makes me want to investigate every noise i fucking hear. one of the main reasons i dont fuck with it anymore is the paranoia.
