You are correct. Please ask the next question.

God of Thunder 12-20-2004 07:56 PM

edited because I didn't see that someone else had already correctly answered.

Move along, nothing to see here.

Booray 12-30-2004 07:44 AM

It's been ten days since someone got the last question right and no new question has been asked. I guess it's up in the air for anyone. I can't think of any questions, but wanted to bump the thread so anyone with a question could ask one.

vanblah 12-30-2004 12:42 PM

Wall of Voodoo's cover of "Ring of Fire" was used in a movie in the early 80's. What's the title of the movie?

Sion 12-30-2004 03:00 PM

wild guess: St. Elmo's Fire

vanblah 12-31-2004 12:51 AM

No.

However, if it is part of the St. Elmo's Fire soundtrack it's not the movie I was thinking about.

Hint: It's not a mainstream movie.

Sion 01-03-2005 05:58 PM

answer?

new question?

rhaevyn 01-03-2005 09:12 PM

The movie was "Nightdreams." Porn flick. Don't ask me how I know this. It's just one of those...weird, random facts?

vanblah 01-04-2005 07:34 AM

rhaevyn is correct.

gboz 01-05-2005 07:21 AM

How about a question there, Rhaevyn?

gboz 01-06-2005 12:54 PM

Vanblah, you wanna take another one?

vanblah 01-06-2005 07:26 PM

I'd like to defer to someone ... but I'll pick up the ball if no one asks tomorrow.

Sion 01-06-2005 09:01 PM

what is David Bowie's real name and why did he change it?

ehh19 01-06-2005 09:11 PM

David Bowie is widely regarded as one of the most influential writers of pop music. Born 'David Jones' he changed his name to Bowie in the 60s, to avoid confusion with the then well-known Davy Jones (lead singer of the Monkees).

/edit i got it from imdb ... is that allowed? heh

Sion 01-07-2005 01:06 AM

er, actually, no. see the first page of the thread.

answer was correct though. anyone who wants, jump in with one.

Lak 01-07-2005 02:35 AM

I'll jump in with a quickie - what's Trent Reznor's actual first name?

loonatic8her 01-11-2005 10:20 AM

its Michael... Michael Trent Reznor (born May 17, 1965 in Mercer, Pennsylvania), better known as Trent Reznor

What do I win???

New Question...

Who were the founding members of Pink Floyd???

Booray 01-11-2005 01:32 PM

I think I've got this right, but not positive:
Syd Barrett
Roger Waters
Rick Wright
Nick Mason

Sion 01-11-2005 08:29 PM

booray is correct

Booray 01-12-2005 07:03 AM

I can't come up with a question. If someone's got one, go ahead and ask.

God of Thunder 01-12-2005 07:45 AM

I jump in. Haven't been in here in awhile.

What was Bob Seger's only number one hit?

Powderedmaggot 01-12-2005 08:37 AM

Sion 01-18-2005 08:47 PM

Im going to revive this thread with an easy one:

what did the wind cry?

Ella 01-18-2005 11:53 PM

Mary.

Name the first band Nick Cave was in.

high_way 01-19-2005 01:04 AM

high_way 01-19-2005 07:23 PM

1995.

Not sure where they're from, but I'm pretty sure the winning song was Sickfest.

*sighs*

I really, really, really wish I lived in Australia and could go to Big Day Out. *pouts* I hate festivals here in the South, they're always in freakin' August when it's 9000* outside..... and the lineups always suck.

*sobs* Beastie Boys! I'm missing the Beastie Boys!

Gods, now I have to think of a question......

I shall return, when a question has been formulated.....

Bryndian_Dhai 01-20-2005 06:59 AM

OK, question time:

Only one family ever had three generations have number one hits on Billboard's Hot 100. Who is the family, and who are the members of each generation to have the hit(s)?

For a bonus: Name the year and the hits, too.

*grins* I have a lifelong thing about Australian bands, starting with Men at Work, and continuing through today. Two of my best friends live in Australia. My ex is Australian..... *grins* I should probably just pack up and move. heheheh.....

I have no freakin' clue why they persist in scheduling concerts..... outdoor concerts no less..... here in mid-summer.... It would make more sense to schedule winter concerts here and summer concerts up north.... Mitigate all the heat and sun stroke, y'know? *sighs* I'm a big ol' fat grrl.... I'm not draggin' my fat ass to New Orleans to battle punks half my age in 100+* heat to hear bands that sound better in my cd player. *snorts* I'm thinkin'.... No thanks. lol

OMG, The Screaming Jets slaughtered that song. I was almost ill when I first heard it.

Re: Birthday Party stuff...you can almost get any indie stuff on the Waterfront Records site via mail order. You should check it out.

Hehehe...now that brought a smile to my face! I'm right there with ya, gal!

pinoychink790 01-20-2005 09:39 PM

The connection between Lynard Skynard and .38 Special is that they are both bands, and they both play music

Bryndian_Dhai 01-20-2005 11:13 PM

*pouts* Ok, y'all, I thought this was a particularly easy question....

No takers?

loonatic8her 01-21-2005 07:59 AM

ummmm and I HATE southern Rock but how about....

THEY BOTH HAVE A VAN ZANT???!!!??

I think that is a correct answer so I ask the next???

Here we go... and this should be an easy one for the older rock lovers... particullary Kwise I believe would know....

Pink Floyds song...Shine on You Crazy Diamond... is a tribute to whom?? and what is the signigicance of said person?

Long Live Floyd

Sion 01-21-2005 09:52 AM

the tribute is to Syd Barrett, who was one of the founders of Pink Floyd. Barrett went off the deep end shortly after the release of Floyd's first album, which led to the emergence of Roger Waters as the groups main songwriter and de facto leader.

Who was "the walrus"?
