I'm a guy, I drive a Ford Escort ZX2, which is considered a chick car. So were most of the other vehicles I was considering when I bought it. Makes no difference to me, I liked the car and I am (and was) already married.

Those 95 - current cavaliers are HARDCORE chick cars... every single one I see is driven by some highschool girl.

To those thinking jettas are girl cars....you have no idea how much of a fool you are.

Some evidence to OWN those who fall into this category.

Well, while there are some nicer versions of any chick car (cept maybe teh h2) the jetta *generally* is an extreme chick car. Many people like the semi-performance aspect of it, others like teh looks, some are just brand loyalty. There are some mean cars out there with a cult-like male following. Again though, the majority of jettas are driven by females with more cylinders in their engine than IQ points...

Unless a car is pink, it's not a girls car

I ended up with my Mustang because my mom convinced me that the old Eclipse was a girls car. Wish I had that Eclipse now.

I have heard it for Jettas and Celicas too.

True Story...
My wife has a 1971 442 convertible with the W-30 455 in it. It's been rebuilt and pushes about 350 horse at the REAR WHEELS. That's about 440 horse at the flywheel. It's got an Art Carr Turbo 400 automatic and a 3.72 Posi, all new Moog bushings and swaybar ends, Bilstein shocks, and we added the Olds Ram Air hood and air-cleaner set-up. She's had this car for 30 years now, and Holy Smoking Popes! When the tranny kick's down...hold on!

We were at a wedding reception sitting witha couple we know that has a C4 Corvette. The husband said that Old's engines were good for station wagons and not much else ( he's one of those know-it-all asshats). I guess it was the wrong thing to say cause my wife took offense and asked him if he wanted to see her "station wagon". They walked out and she started it...it sounds like there are a dozen monkeys beating on an aluminum garbage can when it idles. When they came back in there was no more talk about cars.

She hardly ever drives it anymore cause "It messes my hair up when the tops down".......go figure
