is your friend very over weight???
if he is then maybe it would be a good idea for him to get something to help him along... if he isn't then he should just do it the old fashoned way..... go work out every day. I would be very cautious when tryhing out different supplements, especially for weight loss. What else is that supplement doing to your body? What if you don't use enough, or if you use too much? What does it do to your liver? Things like this are all questions that go through my mind. I think the best results are acheived by going on a diet and exercising every day. Do the cardio and work out the muscles. You will naturally build your motabolism and you will start losing weight at a fast rate, as long as you keep on a good diet. I say that, unless you are obese, there is no reason why you should be using supplements to burn off fat. |

The best way and only GUARANTEED way to lose weight is to ear right and exercise. You don't have to train for an Ironman or anything, but ya gotta get out there and do something.
Eating right is key also, don't focus on some fad diet or supplement. Just eat fruit, vegetables, meat in moderation, some carbs for cardio fuel and bam.. weight will start dropping. These fad diets are just that fads to pad the pockets of those that create them. Most of those supplements only increase your heart rate like a few cups of coffee will do, but they do it more so. Not worth the health risk. |

I have used Hydroxycut in the past and my wife uses it from time to time. It is a good supplement, reduces appetite and increases energy when in the gym or playing sport. I would suggest using less than the recommended amount as it leaves you feeling a bit jittery and causes jaw clenching. Strong supplement... Still only useful with a good diet and plenty of activity..

The main ingredient in this stuff is a chinese herb called ma huang. It works well but can be very dangerous if taken in high doses or by people with heart problems. Make sure your friend talks to a doctor before he goes to far. I've used it and it does work, but can tend to make you jittery and it makes it hard to sleep. Try thermo dynamx from EAS, they do more research then any other suplement company and will suply the facts to prove their claims.

ephedra is a bad deal. Just wait, there will be a class action lawsuit in a couple years and it will be taken off the market. I would suggest not using this supplement, you will do much better by just getting off your ass and working out now and again.

Ephedrine; for the time being, is still legal in 25mg doses and less.
The popular stack the body builders used for the cutting aspect of their program was 25mg ephedine, 200mg caffine, 1 adult asprin The popularity of using ephedra; the natural extract from Ma huang in supplements rose in the late 80s. The early 90s saw a supplment war start between many companies but the two main: EAS, Muscle Tech really stood out. Ive used Muscle Tech products in the past and had good results, but my diet was exact and my workout schedule was even more so. That makes it hard to determine what was actually working. Musle Tech had a problem a couple of years after coming out, their products were shown not to contain everything that was on the label. I believe they have cleaned up that mess, but. . . Ephedrine is a double edged sword. If used properly; it will give you results you would normally get. Properly means never using over 2 1/2 weeks without taking 3 weeks off. Doing so prevents the recsptors that get hit not to break down and a tolerance to form, not to mention that prolonged use fries the adrenal system. I found the most effective time to be in the am upon first waking for a cardio push. Eating 5 substrated balanced meals at the proper caloric intake according to what the goals are; with the 6 meal before bedtime being straight protein. When you wake and do cardio before eating you'll burn what little simple carbs you have up in the first 10 minutes so fat reserves will kick in for fuel (exactly what we want) The fact you have little glycogen flowing this workout sucks because of lack of energy. This is where ephedrine which is already a fat burner (that term is really incorrect-but thats a different issue) gives the needed false energy. This way of training will surey cut you up within 6 to 7 weeks. I recommmend creating an disiplined mindset of eating habits vs using ephedrine. Its something that if done right works better than any drug and can be done for the rest of your life. Hydroxcut's "special" ingrediant is called Hydroxan and theres really nothing special about it. It also contains white willow bark so if your friend has any issues with aspirin he better avoid this. I dont know what the price is on it anymore but if its near the smae or more its not worth it. Ths product is the best one Ive seen that you can buy legally. www.undergroundsports.com/pyroclen.htm please excuse any mispellings I was to tired to put it in word
