Push-pull, please look back in the thread and see what others have done upon reaching a destination. We look forward to hearing about your stay in Tacoma.

I also strongly oppose going to Roswell. I know the person who reaches the destination gets to choose, but please look back on the thread and look at what we've been doing. The idea is to choose somewhere a lot closer to the previous destination...probably somewhere no further than the neighboring state. I propose we go north and south across North America until we're "done."

Since yesterday afternoon...

Total distance...5885.6 + 10.8 = 5896.4km
Distance to (please pick somewhere closer than) Roswell....12 + 10.8 = 22.8 of 2691km

OK, since I'm a sucker for interesting engineering....

I also enjoy getting outside, so I thought I'd visit some of the beaches....

I also did an extensive search for grunge musicians, and didn't have much luck. :P

Forgive me if I've botched this a bit. I don't really know much about Seattle.

Ok, so let's pick something closer and try to redeem myself here. Let's go to Bend, Oregon. We should be able to make it there in time for some summer stargazing.

Here's the short version, crank handle fell off about 17km into the ride, luckily this point is only three km from home, so I walk home, and re-attach. Start off again. It's getting dark, I glance down at the speedo to see how far I've gone, and look up in time to barely avoid hitting a porkupine crossing the road. Then 30 feet from my garage, I hit pea-gravel turning in and crash hard. Broke my flashing light off the back, and am suffering road rash and a bruised shoulder as a result. All this in a stiff wind. :-)

Total distance: 6351.7km + 30.5 = 6382.2km Next destination: 468.1 + 30.5 = 498.6 km of 526.9km to Bend Here's the short version, crank handle fell off about 17km into the ride, luckily this point is only three km from home, so I walk home, and re-attach. Start off again. It's getting dark, I glance down at the speedo to see how far I've gone, and look up in time to barely avoid hitting a porkupine crossing the road. Then 30 feet from my garage, I hit pea-gravel turning in and crash hard. Broke my flashing light off the back, and am suffering road rash and a bruised shoulder as a result. All this in a stiff wind. :-)
