Maybe if I study more I won't be as confused as I am at this moment.

You need to take life and studies at a relaxed and easy pace; no need to worry.
OR, watch out.

I meant presence, as in regular activity, not lonely posts. I did see a few in the lineup, but I think ubertuber had the most at two replies.
I bet you can beat his record, unclephil. Show him. -----Added 3/10/2008 at 06 : 58 : 13----- well, now wih a further look, with the sudden change, the second most posts by a moderator is now another newly-appointed, Baraka_Guru, with a whopping grand total of 14. unclephil currently has 11 good-natured posts within... just four more, years?

A quote from Annie Dillard-
The extravagant gesture is the very stuff of creation. After the one extravagant gesture of creation in the first place, the universe has continued to deal exclusively in extravagances, flinging intricacies and colossi down aeons of emptiness, heaping profusions on profligacies with ever fresh vigor. The whole show has been on fire, from the word go! Bye for now.... Last edited by ring; 10-05-2008 at 10:22 AM.. |

Consider it done...I'm not waiting any longer. I think my problem was simply caused by quantum wave interference.
But now I'm worried about this and I hope it doesn't have adverse effects on my cheeseburgers: In quantum particle-wave duality, if the size of an object of momentum p is smaller than its de Broglie wavelength, then quantum wave interference will be measurable enough so that classical physics will fail to be a good description of the object's behavior. Planck's constant is a very very small number. The de Broglie wavelength of something like a piece of cheese in the fridge would very very tiny. The cheese would have to be subatomic size before quantum cheese effects would take over -- and then it wouldn't be identifiable as cheese any longer. |

Cheeseburgers will be warm again and the cheese will no longer coagulate. Life will be good, quantumly or not.

A Cat Stevens song
"Trouble Oh trouble set me free I have seen your face And it's too much too much for me Trouble Oh trouble can't you see You're eating my heart away And there's nothing much left of me I've drunk your wine You have made your world mine So won't you be fair So won't you be fair I don't want no more of you So won't you be kind to me Just let me go where I'll have to go there Trouble Oh trouble move away I have seen your face and it's too much for me today Trouble Oh trouble can't you see You have made me a wreck Now won't you leave me in my misery I've seen your eyes and I can see death's disguise Hangin' on me Hangin' on me I'm beat, I'm torn Shattered and tossed and worn Too shocking to see Too shocking to see Trouble Oh trouble move from me I have paid my debt Now won't you leave me in my misery Trouble Oh trouble please be kind I don't want no fight And I haven't got a lot of time..." I sense my friend is troubled. How can we cheer you? |

MOAB,
For some reason, I really don't know why, your post above inspired me to google my screen name and, surprisingly to me, I found these t-shirts about me. I don't know if this is some interrnetz ploy or if I'm really famous...but if anybody wants my autograph, just let me know, they are reasonably priced and make great gifts. |
