I want to be the one who decides who lives and who doesn't.
Unfortunately, that's the perfect gift for Giant Hamburger, so if it comes my way I will be morally bound to re-gift it, no doubt wrapped in a clay envelope with the nam-shub of Enki embossed on it.

^ that's some good shit...I'll drink to that!
hey you electric guitar folks...actually a bass question. My buddy who is galavanting around the world with his band so I can't ask him, has a clear solid body fretless electric bass and I can't recall the name of who makes it....maybe Armstrong? but when I search that nothing comes up. The body was completely clear plastic of some kind. Any of you know some likely suspects? |

edit: damn Fly, that's very close! And it has the Dan Armstrong name I wasn't sure about, so that reinforces my flashbacks about it. I'll call around, I think it was a rare Armstrong but fretless for sure.
^ unc, is that a suggestion for me or something you're saying to Fly? But thanks, it reminds me I should just call around to some cool guitar stores. That House of Guitars looks pretty cool, and they seem to have a large record (vinyl) collection...to feed my turntable which is getting malnourished lately. If you're ever in the Philly area and haven't already been there, stop in to Cintioli's Music at Oxford Circle on the Roosevelt Blvd...an awesome place that's been there for eons and a huge collection of new and used guitars and other instruments and accessories: ![]() ![]() I want at least one of those. |

I want ... David Bowie. I will keep him in the closet and feed him cheese and crackers and demand him to sing whenever I want. Still I'll settle for this ![]() Or even this. I had no idea this figurine even existed. ![]() Yes I'm a bit obsessed with Jim Henson's Labyrinth film.

Would you make him sing "Dance Magic Dance" on command? Because I would.
And then I would make him change into early-80s regular Bowie and make him sing me "Let's Dance." And then I would demand that he change into his Aladdin Sane era persona and sing me "The Jean Genie." I guess what's what I want, a shapeshifting David Bowie who can alternate between all of his various personas of varying eras and sing me songs accordingly, like a superhuman jukebox!

Girls, he's only dancing. It turns him on.
/ I think you could put David Bowie in the closet, but history suggests you can't keep him there.

Actually its not dancing that turns him on. It was John's girl that he was dancing with that turned him on so. I know I wouldn't be able to keep him in the closet for as long as I desire to. He would escape eventually. Perhaps his wife Iman would be the one to brake him out. I wouldn't want to fight with her.

Spaceman lyrics
Written by: Harry Nilsson Vocals & Electric Piano: Harry Nilsson Drums: Richie Snare Bass: Klaus Voorman Acoustic Guitars: John Uribe, Cris Spedding, Peter Frampton Piano: Nicky Hopkins Percussion: Richard Perry Orchestra Arranged & Conducted by Paul Buckmaster Loved and treasured by 'ring' I WANT TO FIND A COPY OF THIS SONG! "Bang, bang, shoot em' up, destiny Bang, bang, shoot em' up to the moon Bang, bang, shoot em' up one, two, three (One, two, three, four!) I wanted to be a spaceman That's what I wanted to be But now that I am a spaceman Nobody cares about me Hey mother earth Won't 'cha bring me back down Safely to the sea But 'round and around and around and around Is all she ever say to me I wanted to make a good run I wanted to go to the moon I knew that it had to be fun I told 'em to send me real soon I wanted to be a spaceman I wanted to be it so bad But now that I am a spaceman I'd rather be back on the pad Hey mother earth Won't 'cha bring me back down Safely to the sea But 'round and around and around and around Is just a lot of lunacy (Yeah!) 'Round and around and around and around and around (So bring me back down) 'Round and around and around and around and around Safe on the ground Hey mother earth Won't 'cha bring me back down Safely to the sea But 'round and around and around and around Is all she ever say to me, yeah You know I wanted to be a spaceman That's what I wanted to be But now that I am a spaceman Nobody cares about me Say, hey! You mother earth You better bring me back down I've taken just as much as I can But around and around and around and around Is the problem of a spaceman (Ah's!).." |
