Peanut Butter Recipes
Does anyone have any good peanut butter recipes? It happens to be one of my favorite foods, but I want to try new ways of incorporating it into food.

There was a really good recipe for peanut butter rice krispy balls in the inside of my rice krispies box
if you want it i'll post it Peanut Butter Balls 250 ml (1 cup) icing sugar 250 ml (1 cup) peanut butter 125 ml (1/2 cup) sweetened shredded coconut 75 ml (4/3 cup) melted butter 1 L (4 cups) Kellogg's Rice Krispies cereal Chocolate Dip 750 ml (3 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips 50 ml (1/4 cup) butter 50 ml (1/4 cup) hot water 1. Line any baking sheet with waxed paper. In large bowl, mix icing sugar, peanut butter, coconut, and 1/3 cup butter together until well blended. Gently fold in Rice Krispies cereal until well coated. Form into 2.5 cm balls. To make the rolling of balls easier, use lightly dampened hands. Refrigerate on baking sheet 30 minutes. 2. To make chocolate dip. In medium saucepan, over low heat melt chocolate chips, remaining butter and water together. If mixture is a bit thick for dipping add 1 to 2 tablespoons more hot water 3. Using two forks drop a couple of peanut butter balls in chocolate mixture. Roll balls around in chocolate mixture to coat in chocolate. Chill on waxed paper lined baking sheet until chocolate is set. Other serving suggestions: peanut butter balls can be served plain or lightly drizzled with chocolate dip. To decorate balls with chocolate, use tip of spoon to drizzle chocolate over balls. Yield: about 4 dozen balls ^wow, didnt take as long as i thought, hope you like it, use it, an enjoy! |

Thanks Ace. Definitely sounds good. I think I'll try that one out this weekend.
All-in-all peanut butter for me is like an all purpose dip. It goes with any fruit, vegetables, crackers, pretzels, you name it. I have never tried it with red pepper to give it some kick. I'll give that a try. Here are a few simple uses for peanut butter: -Instead of marshmallows, use peanut butter to make smores. It tastes so much better! -apples and peanut butter -celery and peanut butter -bananas and peanut butter goes on...

I use peanut butter as a basis for making a indo-thai peanut satay for kebabsa, work great on bread.
I pot of paenut butter I use crunchy although this is only for texture. 1/2 pot of pinapple juice. 1/4 pot of dark soy sauce. I use the term pot the size of the peanut butter jar 2 cloves of very finley chopped garlic. 1 teaspoon of dried onion powder ( chopped onion does not work) . 1-2 table spoon of thai / oriental sweet chilli sauce. MIx the first section in a pan on a low heat then add the spices. Heat gently till they all mix. You will love this if you love chicken sattays stick or kebabs PLay with the spice quntites as you like form the basic mix I do a hot chilli version and a sweet version. A barbeque winner. Peanut butter and strawberry jam on a dry wheetabix biscuit kills the munchies for me, add a banana for fun.

I made a generic, but 10x better version of peanutbutter cups one time in school. Basically all you do is combine smooth peanutbutter and powdered sugar together until ya get that semi-dry consistancy and put that aside. Then you could use a muffin tin, mini-muffin tin or whatever, and set the paper liners in there, coat them with a thin layer of melted chocolate (I used bittersweet) put some of the peanutbutter mixture into the cup after teh chocolate has set, then pour a bit more chocolate over the top and let it sit until the chocolate hardens. Quite easy, and pretty damn good.
