nice read powerclown!
I just started Rise to Rebellion by Jeff Shaara just finished Something Like an Autobiography by Akira Kuwosara - really enjoyed this book, more for his personal opinions than the stories he has to tell. |
Absolutely American, David Lipsky.
Ive read it before, but decided to pick it up and read it again. Ive got a good friend at West Point, and its good to get a look at that life. |

Right now, I am reading "A Time to Kill" by Grisham. I'm going on a trip to China next week, so I should be able to finish it by then (16 hours in the air!!!). |
v is excellent. probably my favorite pynchon book. even though only two things really stick with me: the idea of doing a yo yo and the priest haranguing his congregation of rats.....

Sacrifice by Clyde Phillips

John Maxim's "Bannerman's Law" (on the bus)
BTW, I finished the Donaldson's first Gap Cycle book. It was okay and filled the time. I don't think it is a raver, though. For some truly twisted plots, try on W. Michael Gear's Spider triolgy (Warriors of Spider, Web of Spider, Way of Spider) or his Forbidden Border's triolgy (Brain dead this morning, I can't think ofthe titles). |
tropple, The Real Story is just the intro book. It's short and direct to get people in. The series builds quite well. If you've got the time, it's worth it.
|
Thanks, Kadath.
I hope the remainder is more involved. I picked up all of them except for #2 (sold out in two stores) last weekend. Chris Bunch's Risk Inc.: "The Doublecross Program" (at home) |
Under the Banner of Heaven by Jon Krakauer

The whole series is one helluva rollercoaster ride.. Reading Robert Holdstocks Lavondyss atm, (my favorite fantasy novel ) |
Having misplaced my copy of Jitterbug, I am now reading Timequake by Vonnegut. It is depressing.

My historical Linguistics textbook so I don't fail the course when I have to take it at the same time as it's pre-req. Also, at the same time (read: instead of) A Place to Call Home by Gabrielle Wills: a local writer from Lindsay, Ontario.... Amazing book for a first time author... very hard to find but worth it, if you're interested in historical fiction.
