Well heck, I've started seeing some good fortune come my way. Why not share the love? I'll have to get a Yahoo whatever-it-is account and send something along when I get another payment from my clients.

I've considered donating on several occations, but I just can't fit it into my budget. I've got no job at the moment, and I can barely afford to feed myself. I'm sure once I find a job I'll scrape up some cash to donate. Until then, I'll just try to continue contributing by adding to the discussions when I can.

What can I say? I'm in college and broke. It sucks.

How will I start my day without the titty board? I'll do my best. I hope my co workers don't find me to cranky. Have donated several times and survived the past crash and will wait patiently till the board rises again. In the mean time I guess I'll set up that yahoo thing

As previously stated, i suggest putting something on the main page, or even go so far as a popup (shock horror) to raise awareness of the plight of the TFP funds right now.

I only found out what happened from forum sections that a lot of people do not visit... so im pretty sure a lot pf people would be unaware of what the deal is and why the sections have been disabled.

How about some fundraisers?
"Free Kobe" shirts sell well...

I miss being able to use Paypal, but they don't want their service used for "adult entertainment" (if I understand correctly).

I sent a personal check from my Canadian bank account (and I'm living in Korea!), and that seemed to work.

Im interested that no-one has mentioned BitPass yet: https://www.bitpass.com/ - See the FAQ at https://www.bitpass.com/earn/FAQ/. This looks to me to be a better option than paypal, as anyone can use it. They accept payment from credit or debit cards, or paypal accounts. They charge:
There are no setup or monthly fees.
For items priced $0.01-$5.00, the transaction fee is 15%.
For items priced $5.00 and higher, the transaction fee is 5% + $0.50.

What does everyone think? This may be a better way of doing things now paypal has gone and given the constraints of yahoo. Me being in the UK isn't helpful! I will donate soon!

Is that why no boobies threads? I have donated before and have been wanting to donate again, but my daughters have simply drained me. When they leave home they are more expensive than when they were in the house. I will try to send another $50.00 today if I can find it. This site is the best site BY FAR. None of the pay-sites even come close.

You don't miss some forums until they're down for a while....... yes, I mean the TB. I can't live without it, it's like daily medicine for me! Sad that PayPal don't work within the US.

I still have 15 bucks from my last visit in the US, I could send it by mail to you Halx but I don't know if you get it. Here I can't even use it so it makes sense that my "doctor" gets the money........ where can I send it?

Sounds reasonably interesting...
There isn't a lot of information on their site, but their payment system seems ok. Biggest problem I can see so far is that they are not accepting earners at this time, they have no info on wether or not they accept anyone as an earner (cfr PayPal's no-adult-content-policy), and they are still in beta stage...

I'd like for this to work (as I live outside the US as well), but I'm not buying their pre-paid cards yet...

*I wonder if Western Union money transfers will work

FYI, I don't drink, I don't smoke, or even wear hats. I have exactly $3.46 to my name, and that is my laundry budget for the rest of the month. In order help pay for school, I have a work-based deferment. In other words, the school takes my entire paycheck, until the deferment is payed off. say what you like, I'd kill to be able to give $50 or $100 to this place, It's my home. I just CANNOT. <sigh>

Well, I was browsing on the new server before and after the TB was removed, and the site about doubled in speed once the TB was removed. I didnt realize how much processing power that thing was sucking... Its kinda scary.

Here's the deal, people. The TFP server is gonna be making it's second trip across the Atlantic Ocean. We will be powering down at the end of the month and we will probably take a few weeks to get to DC, where we will be taken care of by our good friends ServInt.

We will be running the TFP on our old server as our beast makes the journey, however there is a difference between dual 1.8GHz and 500MHz P3. We are going to be disabling a few forums and features during this time, so you'll only be able to use the discussion forums.

Our good fortune has run out in Finland and our sysadmin is moving on, so we cannot have our hosting any more. Thus, we will be incurring a few extra costs each month.

Without the support of PayPal, our donations have dwindled severely. We have Yahoo PayDirect, which works for people in the US, and then we have our Snail Mail address. Please, people, if the TFP is worth it to you, help support us. Donation thread --> http://www.tfproject.org/tfp/showthr...=&threadid=718

That's really all for now. Thanks for readin'

************************UPDATE

WE ARE NOW RUNNING ON OUR BACKUP SERVER, FLOUNDER

SOME FEATURES HAVE BEEN TURNED OFF.
ah.. that explains it. I figured you guys were punishing me for being inactive around finals... :P

oh and I'll see if I can't provide a few bucks towards helping you guys pay for the server.
