A week in the life...
Not every once of my weeks is the same as the rest, but here's a little bit of what I go through, barring any special plans such as parties and concerts.
Week days start at 8:30am, I get up, shower, and get the hell down to Hollywood for work at 10. From there work is all about web pages, advertising, and naked ladies. Recently, I've been working at home, but going in each Monday to load the week's work onto my laptop. Also at work, I check in on the TFP to make sure it's going well. I usually leave work at 6pm-9pm, depending on how busy I am. I don't mind working late because the pay is worth it and the later I leave, the faster and more relaxing the drive home is. At home, it's more TFP work. I am always combing the site for vibes and areas that need changes. I run a few maintenance queries on the database every night, and just keep the whole site nicely polished. I usually do this with a baseball or basketball game on the TV. Weekends are all about relaxing. While I try to find concerts and stuff to go to, I usually only take in a movie on Saturday night and play pool once or twice over the break. Anyways, it's all mostly boring, but I mainly enjoy it. How would you all describe your week?

since i am only allowed 52 of them per year, i try to husband them in a judicious manner...each week is allowed only seven days, two of which are devoted to celebrations of the beginning/passing of another one...depending on seasonal conditions, i am either in or out...food, grog, and sleep take up a majority of my time...all else is just filler...

Boring as hell is how I would describe my week.
Up at 7.30 am drive 25 miles to be in work for 8(never on time) Spend the day detailing structural steel, get to pop in to look around TFP a few times. Home at 7 lately not doing as much nixers.Walk dogs ,if its fine go for a shot.Mess about on the computer from about 11 to 12.30am Fridays get a dvd out and spend some time with mammyhouse. Saturdays muck about if I am not working, meet mammyhouse for lunch.Go out about 10.30pm have a few drinks Sundays get to relax unless herself wants to go somewhere. Same story every week

This is how it generally goes when I'm in school.
I wake up earlier than I really need to. Most days, I wake up in a lot of pain, so I lay in bed for about 10-20 minutes so I can compose myself, then I get up and shower. I then spend about an hour on the tfp. After that, I head to class. I always get there a little over an hour early so I can just wander around the halls for a little while. It's a nice way to clear my head. Then, I spend a few hours in class and come home. More tfp time. Then some homework, and back to the tfp. Fridays I usually go out with my friends and play some pool. The weekends I spend either with my friends or family members. Not the most exciting, but not that bad.

I have to be awake before the roosters crow, how fair is that? lol I work, then drive around and do plenty of essential things. Pay bills, buy groceries, cruise around the beaches, etc.
I only have one day on the weekend off and I spend that relaxing, hanging with friends or family. I'm open minded and do just about anything to keep from being bored. Pool, tennis, volleyball, rollerblading.. |

Varies from week to week, but for the most part, I work Wednesday to Sunday, 9:30-5:30. With the occasional 6-2 shift thrown in for good measure.
My work day consists of cooking meals for 300-500 homeless or nearly homeless people, making stuff like 25 gallons of chili or roasting 6 turkeys. On the weekends I have time to cook fancier stuff for the staff and volunteers though, which I love doing. My days off are spent catching up on boring stuff like sleep, laundry, tfp (not boring, but you all know I spend time here). |

workdays involve beginning when I wake up for the last time and start the day by taking a bath and reading in the tub. Mimi has been up for an hour feeding the cats and going for a walk up the mountain.
sus usually wakes up during my bath, comes in and says "good morning". by then, mimi is back. the girls log on and get ready for work. I log in and start the workday at home. when I'm telecommuting I stay. when I'm not, I head for the office and deal with the three companies I work with. I come home for lunch and also take walks at 11 and 3 - when I'm at the office, I stay late and get home for dinner and feed the dog. then it's evening work. multitasking during the day involves TFP and ARTelevision stuff as well. At night it's TFP and ARTelevision work - while multitasking includes continuing the day jobs' activities. There's usually music and videos, sometimes a movie at the same time. The girls and I are around the house and the computers are all connected and in the same room, so we get to be together and on the Net at the same time. then to bed. I wake up 3 times during the night and continue on with the 3 jobs and 2 web sites. ............. weekends are for working in the garden, doing outdoor activities and also continuing Internet activities and the day jobs. Since the day jobs are Internet-related and otherwise connected - it's fairly simple to be multitasking, 24/7, while doing other stuff. ............. I always have the best, most interesting, exciting life I could possibly ever have.

hmm. my weeks can be redundant or turned upside down.
most days i wake up between 9:30-10 am. get up..... me being disabled i have to get helps with about everything. i'm normally up in chair, bathed and ready to go (i have to get a bath imediatly unless emergency. i can't tolerate being dirty). i check on my kids- six leopard geckos and my dog Jeb (though unnecesaryl at times. depends if he slept inside or out). i make sure i have crickets at almost all times (which ironicly i do not today) and meal/super worms on hand for the kiddos. log on the net. scan mandatory sites. here, gamefaqs, most ofthe time fark, and such so i can see everyone's okay and get news. then i crank up my day's basic needs and create a schedule that i i like to make so i can say 'look i didn't do this or this'. sometimes i will turn on the stereo. tool, sp or the deftones are good for waking up to. i end up eating lunch arounr 1 or 2. just a year ago i didn't eat until like 4pm. i normally search for odd jobs and get pissed cuz i never find one. once a week (for the time being) I have to do some painful chemical burns. i chit chat with family off and on. not much, honestly. my room is my house. hopefully one day i'll have a 'real' home but this works for now. i tend to write a lot..... and do anyhing to try and ignore clinical depression. then... well..... i exist in my room and stay up til 10-11 pm, get in bed, reclaim keyboard and fall asleep around 5-6 am. that's me. |

As of now my life is in turmoil. Not a bad turmoil, just no direction. Being laid off, the only responsibility i have is to look for work on a daily basis, but no set time frame. I get up some time before 10am, and go to sleep before it gets to late to wake up before 10am. I spend alot of time chatting on IM's, lurking and posting in the tfp, and playing to odd game of Gothic, or Wolf:ET. Nothing special, but I'm planning to move soon and gain some direction.

My week is a solid ritual.
Monday though Friday I am up by 7:30 to get out of the door and looking sharp by 7:50. Then I commute 35 miles in traffic to DC where I get to work by 8:45, about 15 minutes early. I work from 9AM to 8PM, and then head halfway home, where I meet a few friends and go to the watering hole that we frequent until about 2AM. then I head home and start over. Saturdays I work from 9-6PM, run home and take a nap and then get ready and go out to a club or bar for the night. sunday I sleep and/or relax. Overall, I would say that though my life is busy, it is rather empty. I feel like I am missing something. |

My week...mostly it's work 10-7
At home...quite often it's being on the TFP Otherwise, it's reading, studying or the gym. On Friday night...I might go out to dance On Saturday...I try to veg during the day winding down from the stress of work...I also do bills around noon. Sat. night...I enjoy a nice time out with my friends Sunday...household chores during the day Sun night...I go play pool with my cousin. And when I get the chance I like to go to concerts. In the future my goals are to start school again, practice guitar more, do my art more and start training in a Martial Arts Studio again. Now that my work load has decreased, my energies & mind can be focused more on my personal life instead of stress. Last edited by rogue49; 08-05-2003 at 07:14 PM.. |

My day is different and the same all the time.
Most days I am up between either 630-7am or around 9am. Depending on my hours at work that day. They are never the same. Head to work. Never on time. Have a great day at work or a really bad day depending on how many animals died or who we healed that day. Head home. Eat something. Not picky about what. Just something quick because I am by myself Check my mail(something I do way to much) Check TFP see what is happening. Talk to my boyfriend usually a couple hours. (we are long distance right now) Crash. This is my life Monday thru Friday and every other Saturday when I work. On the weekends I usually sleep a whole hell of a lot. Go to Alabama to see my man, or he might be home here and then I would spend all my time with him. I dont go out and party or drink really at all. I might go out to dinner with my girlfriends or hang out at someones house. I like the quite life, every now and then I will get rowdy though Sundays are usually spent visiting the parents or cleaning or maybe watching movies and relaxing. |

Wake up, fall out of bed, drag a comb across my head.
Commute, surf the net while sitting in my freezing cubicle for about 7-8 hours, commute, surf, sleep. Sometimes I write a script so they don't fire me.

Up at 7 everyday but Sunday, stop and go the 5 miles to work. Sit at my desk and look at what has piled up since I left the day before. Checkout some trades, return about 40 messages, listen to some bitching from my boss, listen to some bitching from his boss, listen to some bitching from clients, listen to some bitching from the title clerk, try to find someone to bitch at to no avail.
Attempt to get lunch(never happens) make some calls, answer some calls, appraise some cars, listen to some bitching from strangers, say goodnight, go home watch some basball or attend a game, check out TFP, try to sleep(around 2 am I pass out). Now on Sundays I wake up around 10 am, move to couch and go back to sleep till 2 pm

My week of late:
Monday through Friday: Up anywhere between 5:30 and 6:00 am out the door by 6:30 at the latest (hopefully). Drive my girlfriend 30 miles to her work (she just had brain surgery and can't drive due to double vision) to get her there between 7:15 and 7:30. Then another 20 miles to my own job at a pharmaceutical company. Get to work between 7:30 and 8:00 am. Kill time or work on ad hoc projects till 12:00pm when I go to the cafeteria for lunch. 12:20 or so head back to the desk. Kill time till 3:30 or 4:00 when I leave to pick up gf at 4:45. Either go out to eat dinner or cook something at home. Watch some tv, browse the net, or play some games till going to bed around midnight. (You may be asking what I do for a living or why I'm just killing time at work. Well, my department was eliminated 3 months ago and I have not yet found a new home. The new department is headed by idiots who still have no idea what they will be doing, who will be doing it, or what they need to do to make the business successful. The company wants to keep me but doesn't know exactly what to do with me. I'm starting to think I don't want to keep them.) Weekends: Either head out to play pool at some local bars, go scuba diving, work on the house, or attend one of the many family/social functions that are going on. In general, some fun stuff interrupted substantially by some really boring shit.

My week now involves getting up monday through friday at 7:30, I live in NYC and walk to work which takes about half an hour with a stop for coffee (about 1.5 miles one way). The walk has been good for me, but the weather has been either very humid or raining lately... I spend my days checking out satellite images and other spatial data sets trying to come up with new and inovative ways to understand, and protect some of the worlds most endangered ecosystems. Lately our focus is in Vietnam, Bolivia, and Madagascar. It is amazing work, and I am definately happy for it. I get back to my apartment at about 6PM after connecting with my girlfriend who also works near by. We live together now after almost four years of dating. We go to the gym, cook dinner or get takeout and watch TV and mess with the TFP and other websites. Weekends seem so short now, I go out to a bar or two, try to get out to a park and often see my family in New Jersey. It's strange, now that I'm older and work full time, I am looking forward to the end of summer... Bring on the fall!

meh. my week is pretty blah.
i start my days about an hour or two before i need to be at work. that gives me enough time to hop onto the computer, check a few necessities, shower, and make the drive up to work. put in my eight hours there then drive home, getting in anywhere between 8 and 10. i cook dinner for the two of us, relax, and watch the adult swim cartoons. that's really my only escape from reality. after my shows are over, i hop on the computer until i'm tired and then head off to sleep. on weekends, i sleep in and normally don't do much. something about my life and the place i'm living just makes me not want to do anything but wait for the clock to tick off 24 more hours. this needs to improve, but i don't have the means of doing so. i'm not willing to give up my cartoons, it's the only thing that i get to enjoy on a daily basis, without disappointment (and don't give me that "tape it" crap - my vcr is broken).

I usually get up around 12. Right now I don't have the paperwork necessary for getting a job, so I work cash-in-hand on Tuesdays and Fridays, and occasionally Wednesdays. Tuesdays I go to city and hang around in the shopping district Hsimending. It's a short walk to my job, which starts at 7 and ends at 9.
On Fridays I teach a class in another city, which means taking the train. The trains aren't marked properly. No English. I suspect that I will end up in southern Taiwan one of these days. I recently bought a X-box. Right now I have plenty of time to kill. Getting the box was the cheapest option. Weekends, me and my wife try to go somewhere. There are plenty of cool spots around Taiwan, and the island is small enough to cruise around in two days. I'm still looking for a good bar/nightclub to go to. The ones I've been to so far have been of the usual ecstasy variety. Typical meatmarkets full of buzzheads. Guess I'm getting old, I prefer a small pub where you can speak to everybody around your table without shouting. Can't wait until my paperwork's done, so I can get a proper job. Right now I have to count my money every day.

on a workout day I wake up at 5:45 and do my usual morning routine to be out of the house by 6:30 - I get to the club by 7am and do a solid hours workout - mostly weights - and then shower and drive to the office - i'm there by 8:30.
On days where I don't wake up I usually get up at 6:45 and leave by 7:30, I am in the office by 7:45 most days. At 12:15 I drive home for lunch, usually watch Family Feud while i'm eating - my are people stupid on that show! - and head back to the office. At 5pm I drive home, kiss my wife, play with my two small kids (4 1/2y.o and 5 months) and check emails, mail, etc. I also find out how much of a financial dent my wife has done to us that day. sheesh. On Fridays I usually head to the cottage by around 2pm - it's an hours drive and just relax and putter around there all weekend. Some Thursdays we get together with the boys for wings and beer. In winter we do dinnerparties (host and attentd) most weekends. Life is ok. Just need more money.
