This is the thread to display them in all their holy-gosh-begone-glory. So, jump right in; the water's fine (actually, it's 100% purified by the grace of His Name).

Not for nothing, but instead of re-creating this article, ripping all the images, and displaying them here, I instead, highly encourage you all to visit this link and read it in its original nature.
It's really quite a creative story, and right hilarious: Hanks/Spielberg Release Sequel To WWII Biopic "Band Of Brothers" To Honor Church's Secret Role In Victory

Thanks, I really appreciate the comment, Xerxys; any response, I'll lend an ear to, really.
Also, I didn't have the time to address it when I orginally set this topic, but I think for now, if anyone wants to participate here in the future, please restrict yourself to only PG-13 images for the time being. (meaning: implied nudity is somewhat okay, but don't go beyond that. I'd prefer not to have another NSFW tag slapped on prematurely.) I'm sure this thread will progress to that next level in short order, but the natural thinker in me says I'd at least like to see this bloom creatively and humorously at first, and then the bloomers can come off. basic reasoning is that the portrayals should not go beyond what has already been posted by uncle_phil and Fly above, as well as what I now post down below: Photography by Sebastian Faena, from work entitled "Nun Head", for POP Magazine

(I think that last part came out wrong... I was fine until that last segment of the sentence.)

via "The History of the Twentieth Century in Black and White Photography, Pt. 71" Photos from the archives of BBC, reflecting all the most significant events of the twentieth century. Many of these photos are kind of symbols century and are both historical and artistic value. Not one generation photo correspondents were brought up on these pictures. So this selection can be safely considered masterpieces of world photography. sorry this is late, but I just came up with a great pun for this image: "Nun Shall Pass"
Quote:
- If a priest is called a white collar worker, then a nun would be a creature of habit. - A nun was kicked out of the order for inappropriate attire: her sheer habit. - Several elderly nuns were in their second floor convent one night when a fire broke out.not a pun, but a cocktail joke (one I remember reading in Playboy) ... - One day, the head mother tells the two new sisters they have to paint their room without getting any paint on their clothes. So one nun says to the other, "We'd better take off all our clothes and lock the door."This is "Nunsense".

July 2, 1963 ; Austin, Texas, USA ; © Bettmann/CORBIS It's a big change of pace for Sister Magdalene, S.S.C.J., of San Antonio, Tex., as she steps in determinedly to slam the ball in a ball game at the Davenport Ranch. Sisters from all over the U.S. attending special summer classes at St. Edward's University were invited to the ranch for a day's outing. They relaxed on their day off and played volleyball, as well as baseball. [corbis.]

That's a crying shame (ironic word cue) that the above image had no further details added to its scenario; I would have loved to learned the reason for the laughter.
Thanks for sharing, mixed. - - - September 4, 1954, Cleveland, Ohio USA ; © Bettmann/CORBIS Swinging into some fun before school begins and they start teaching again are Sisters Liloise and Pelagia, instructors at Immaculate Heart Elementary School. I really don't know anything else about the image. I've had it for many years.
I love the image and have gone back to look at it many times and have come to the conclusion that perhaps they are not really nuns. I determined this by the earrings on the woman to her left.

Nun of your beaches
I've come to realize something very coincidentally-astounding over the past week, and that is, from most of random sources, even when they don't actually state where they got their images from, more and more of them I end up eventually finding at this vast repository.
So, like the quoted image, I eventually discovered it in time to have a caption, date, and photographer to add to it in order give some context to the photograph. August 22, 1960 ; Grayland, Washington, USA Three nuns play in the ocean surf near Grayland. They were part of a group of seven nuns who were able to spend a week at the seashore as part of a new vacation program. -- courtesy of the Bettmann Collection. - - - - - August, 1978 ; Near Chilmark, Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts, USA ; Photo by © Charles E. Rotkin/CORBIS A nun (or person dressed as a nun) strolls along Lucy Vincent Beach, a notorious nude bathing beach, on Martha's Vineyard. Several men, waist deep in the surf, watch her pass by reading a book.

Sister Mary Katherine entered the Monastery of Silence.
'The Priest said, 'Sister, this is a silent monastery. You are welcome here as long as you like, but you may not speak until directed to do so.’ Sister Mary Katherine lived in the monastery for 5 years before the Priest said to her, 'Sister Mary Katherine, you have been here for 5 years. You may speak two words.' Sister Mary Katherine said, 'Hard bed.' 'I'm sorry to hear that,' the Priest said, 'We will get you a better bed.' After another 5 years, Sister Mary Katherine was summoned by the Priest. 'You may say another two words, Sister Mary Katherine.' 'Cold food,' said Sister Mary Katherine, and the Priest assured her that the food would be better in the future. On her 15th anniversary at the monastery, the Priest again called Sister Mary Katherine into his office. 'You may say two words today.' 'I quit,' said Sister Mary Katherine. 'It's probably best,' said the Priest, 'You've done nothing but bitch since you got here.'

I also remember reading this one in that Playboy Cocktail Jokes section, although the joke mentioned a monk enrolling into the "Monastery" (whereas sisters and nuns would traditionally go to convent instead).
