That game was amazing. I swear, I have never been so excited in my whole life. The Flames worked their ass of and so deserved this!

Jesus Christ on a pogo stick that was an amazing game.
Of course now I might fall asleep in my chair today. Damn, why must I live 2 time zones away from Calgary? Grr.

Amazing game, simply amazing. That has to be one of the best NHL games I've seen in a long time.
Going to be a long day today though.. The only reason I made it through the entire game was because I wasnt alone for it (and to you who stayed up with me, thank you, you rock)

Awwwwww YEAH!!!! THat was fanbloodytastic!!! My heart sank with the thought of another game 6 OT loss to send it back to Detroit, but the Flames had other plans. Way to go Flames!!! The city erupted when that went in last night. I've never seen anything like it before. Flames jerseys, shirts and flags everywhere. I went down to 17th ave to check things out after the game and it was pure and utter madness. High fives for everyone in site, even the cops who were everywhere. More and more people just kept coming down there. Unreal.
Bring on the western confrence finals baby!! WooooooooHooooooo!!

Just heard on the radio that there were 10,000 people out on 17th Ave last night after the win. After a 2nd round series win!!
This city's going to burn down if we win the cup. Go Flames Go!!!

Please don't burn Calgary down I like it there.....
I think anyone who participates in a riot after a sporting event is a fucking idiot. And I don't want to think of Canadians in that way

I was just kidding with the burning down comment. I just can't imagine how crazy it'll be downtown if they win the cup. It'll be a celebration of epic proportions. What happened last night exceeded the celebrations back in 89' when we actually won the cup, so to think of the party if we win the cup this year... And as for what occurs downtown after every win, it's far from a riot. It's just a bunch of happy people cheering and celebrating. A giant party in the streets. I was among the crowd last night in the streets and it was a damn friendly place. Everyone was everyone's buddy, even the cops. Just good times.

Congrats to the Flames! A hot goalie and stifling pressure "D" are working magic for them. Good luck!

Okay, not that I have anything against Detroit, but the guy who writes for the Detroit Free Press sounds like he's trying too hard to win a Pulitzer Prize. Talk about melodrama. Somebody tell this guy it's just a game.

My prediction for this series is Sharks in 5-6 with at least 3 games going to OT! But Nabakov will beat out Kipprusoff just like he did for Sharks. Besides that its awfully hard to shut down 4 lines. Their scoring comes from everywhere.

Looks like Chris Simon might be back on the ice for the Flames tomorrow, which is great news. If he can go, i think he'll make a huge difference in the game.
I can't wait for this series to start. You can go on and on about the storylines behind the game, but when it comes down to it, you've just got 2 great teams playing hockey the way it ought to be played. |

Yup yup, great win last night. They were under attack for the end of the game but Kipper stood strong and kept them in it. They weathered the storm and Iggy set up a great goal for Monty! Good to see him pot his first playoff goal.

I'm finding it hard to cheer for the flames after the oilers are out...even though they're the only canucks left in it. Their first chance in the playoffs in 7 years and the conference finals... Edmonton goes out always in 1st or 2nd round. It's luck, right? Calgary doesn't have a better team than us??

#$@% YEAH!! How cool was that?!?
Calgary was all over those Sharks tonight. Kipper was incredible yet again. I'm eating it up. Donovon with a great breakaway goal, Iggy and Neiminen with great goals. Just awsome to take the series back to Calgary with a 2-0 lead!! Go Flames Go!!!

Wow, is all I can say. They won in a convincing fashion. I am impressed. Well they did beat the Cancucks....So they must be good.(I had to throw in one last Canucks mention) I hope that they don't let the 2-0 lead get to there head, because the sharks are going to come out flying. I think the flames can do it though. They have heart.
