It's now 8am here in England, i'm still up.. wearing the Canucks jersey. I had tears watching it round at a flames fans house over here.
Good job on them though, well fought series. Go CANUCKS Go... 5 months till the next Stanley Cup run! |

itr indeed was a great series.
Reffing could have been better, alot of crappy penalties and missed penalties for both teams. 2 OT games, game 7, hell a series for history.

Wow. I've never experienced such a high and low in game before in such a short period of time. The tying goal was a heartbreaker. I thought Vancouver would have all the momentum and win for sure. But the Flames showed a lot of heart and came out strong.
You really can't say enough about Iginla and Kiprusoff. Those 2 guys carried the Flames all season and they did it again in this game and series. Detroit better be ready to play, that's all I'm gonna say. |

I was hoping for a Calgary win. I'm not a bandwagon jumper, I'm not going to claim to be their biggest fan. Hell, only reason I was pulling for them is cause I've been to Calgary twice and have friends there. Playoff hockey is awesome though. So damn intense.

I felt bad for the Canuck fans last night, I know first hand how it is to watch your team lose in OT. Heartbreaking. The series could have easily gone either way, it was damn exciting to watch. Sorry for the weather comment but it's true, it's a damn nice day here today and I'm stuck inside all day.

Yeah, it was a good series, in fact it was an awesome series. One of the best that I have seen. And also like ace o spades, I woke up and realized that I still would watch the Canadiens games, and the Calgary series, and maybe even the Senators or Maple leafs in the next round. It won't be the same, but I guess hockey is more than cheering for one team only. thanks for making me realize that silent jay. Good luck to your team tonight. but, Go Senators Go.

Now an overhaul needs to be done to the Sens where before everyone was saying the Leafs didn't have a chance, because the Sens are too powerful, I think the Sens are just mind fucked into believing they can't beat the Leafs.

FLAMES WIN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Another OT thriller. Again, Kiprusoff came up huge. The Wings outplayed us almost the entire game, but he kept making the saves and the Flames just battled hard and somehow got the win. The Flames may be beat up, they may be tired, but they've got alot of heart. |

Oh YEAH!!! that was sweet. Kipper came up huge. They looked pretty shakey at the start of that game but were showing a lot of heart later on. Gelinas came up huge on that effort for the assist. Nice work.
Go Flames!!

Congratulations to the flames for taking game one. As stupid and hipicritical as this may sound, I may just have to take a step onto the bandwagon. Just a small one tho, and JUST during this years playoffs, then I will hop back off again. Any Canadian team is worth cheering for when it comes down to it.

I'm not overly worried about the Leafs, you've got to win 4 games to take the series, and while a 2-0 deficit isn't good, it also isn't insurmountable, they just need to dig a little deeper and show some heart and desire, and take it 1 game at a time. My prediction the Leafs are taking the next 2 in Toronto and go back to Philly all tied up.

IMO, its looking more and more like a Tampa Bay vs. San Jose cup final. Two expansion teams, they are both just awesome. Hopefully Montreal or Calgary will prove this wrong, but right now these teams look pretty unstoppable.

Yeah, I can't forget the leafs or flyers for that matter. Philly is actually looking pretty good, but not much better than Toronto. Esche is playing some good hockey, but I think Balfour is capable of playing better. That series is up in the air, I dont even know what to think of it.

It's one of the few 2-0 series leads when neither team is playing great playoff hockey, Esche is playing good, but yes Eddie isn't playing up to his skill level, when the Leafs win the next game they'll be back in the series, I'm not worried.

sorry about that, I thought you meant someone in the thread.
I've noticed that people in general seem to think the same thing, it would be nice for them to smoke the Wings, and yes all the negative talk about them "lucking out" to make it this far is only going to fire them up even more. I hope they knock off the Wings, jesus that would be sweet.

Sorry Avs fans. A team full of allstars and you still can't manage to win. Could'nt win the division, and can't beat the sharks. But hey, you did better than my team. The fact of the matter is that Granato is gone.
