Because the greater population of Canada is found in southern ontario, than it would only make sence that they focus on the Leafs. Not to mention the studio is found in TO. It doesn't bother me tho, they play plenty of other games, and the opinions are not noticably biast that I really can see.

Me... I hope he(Hedberg) crumbles under the pressure and opens up like a cive(sp?). He seemed fairly strong for the finish of game 3 but I believe now that the weight of what he's stepping in to do has set in he'll get rattled and fall apart.
I'll be there in the C of Red tonight to make sure he does. GO FLAMES GO!!!

I'm gonna have to add in another mandatory GO CANUCKS GO!!!!!!!!!!!! Was up at 3am to watch the last game, and will be again tonight, oh how i miss being back in Vancouver! And yes I think that The Moose (Hedberg) will be up for it... I hoped that he was #1 for this season at the start. Best wishes to Clouts though on a quick recovery and well... then there is Alex Auld...

I remember some of the best TV hockey I ever watched was last year during the playoffs. The French CBC channel was broadcasting a game, but they had no announcer, so they just turned up the ice sounds really loud, so all you heard were the players and the fans.
I really hope Hedburg is up to the challenge; he looked strong in game 3. Apparently they're supposed to make an announcement about Cloutier once they come back to Vancouver in preparation for game 4. EDIT: Forgot the customary GO CANUCKS GO! |

Great performance by the Flames, just total domination. The Flames needed this one and they went out and got it.
It'll be interesting to see if Cloutier will come back in Game 5. Hedberg played pretty well, but the Canucks surely could use Cloutier in goal next time. |

Yeah baby, put it in the win column!!! That was freakin electrifying!!! Just got home from the best hockey game I've ever personally witnessed. That crowd was unbeleivable. Loud as hell from an hour before the game well past the end!!! 4-freakin nothin' Hedberg's rattled along with the rest of those canucks. Go Flames Go!!!!!

Popular? Cloutier is the starting goaltender, he led the canucks to the playoffs. No matter how much he is known to choak, or how unreliable is, he is the one who will win or lose this series for the canucks. It will be interesting to see game 5, these teams are matched pretty evenly, and its coming down to who wants it more.

Cloutier was flown home from Calgary due to the injury to his knee
i'd say that makes a pretty solid case for him being out for at LEAST the next two rounds assuming they make it that far Hedberg is not as good as Cloutier... we're totally fucked

I heard on the score that it is actually a injury to his ankle not his knee. All that I heard is that he will be out for all of the first round forsure. And who knows how much longer. Poor Clouts.

I don't miss Cloutier at all...I've had enough of his choking.
I've always liked Hedburg, and I think he could of gone the distance here, but Crawford is a Cloutier fanboy and played him even when he didn't deserve it. Oh well, I still dont think the Canucks have a legitimate #1 goalie. Maybe Auld will step up..

Auld.... you're dreaming!
Cloutier is Vancouver's best goalie... he has been playing solid hockey all year... and he hasnt even had a chance to choke this year! now he's injured goddammit and we need to rely on Mr. "Im going to cheat to the pass even though there are two defensemen in front of the person and let in this easy shot over my shoulder"

At this point to me Cloutier vs Hedberg honestly doesn't matter. Throughout this series when the team played good, they won. When the team played bad they lost. But when the team played bad we rested the blame completly on the goalies. If they can step it up im confident that either Cloutier or Hedberg has what it takes.

The lack of respect for Calgary's team is pretty evident here... 'Calgary can't beat Vancouver.. the only way Calgary wins is when Vancouver beats themselves'..that's the message I'm pulling out of that. Meh. Go Flames Go! |

Those comments were basically just related to the goaltender comments. Basically saying we cant blame losing on the goalies but that its the team as a whole. Don't get me wrong Calgary is a great team.

my friends and I have quite a little tradition going now
everyone comes over to my apartment to watch the game, and we go to 7-11 during 1st intermission to get sustanence then its back to the game, we've done it for the past dozen or so broadcasts because none of us can afford tickets to GM Place stupid 45 bucks for regular season nosebleed

yep, great win for Kiprusoff. The Canucks really put the pressure on at the end there and he came up huge. Jovanovski got a great chance at the end and my heart nearly stopped, but Kiprusoff played it cool and stopped it with ease.
What a game. Can't wait for game 6. |

I think that Vancouver should start Auld again. He had a good performance. The flames like to get infront of the net and and score with alot of traffic, and because Auld is alot bigger than Hedberg there is more of a chance he will save it. I almost guarantee that Auld will be the backup for Cloutier next year, so I think that Crawford wants him to play.

Haha, no I didn't quote Millen... it is just such a true statement... he's like a robot in net
Auld disappointed me... he's getting a lot of praise for someone who misplayed two shots that let in goals... a more experienced goalie might not have made those mistakes and what's with The Province giving Jovo so much credit!?!? He has done nothing but disappoint me ALL SERIES... GRRRR Sometimes sports reporters have their heads so far up their own asses... Linden was the best canuck last night
