The more I read about the waxing, the more I want to try it - especially if the lady will love it. Maybe I'll get an appointment for the both of us on the same day. Then we can wait two days and bump smooth uglies like crazy. :)

SkillinBizkit 01-02-2007 06:52 PM

Hey. I trimmed the area for the first time and man does it itch! Is is ment to be scratchy unbearably? I preferr not to shave, as it would grow back quicker.

Anyone, any ideas for the scratchyness, and how long does it take to go away?

KellyC 01-16-2007 10:47 AM

I think someone should make a tutorial at the front page for shaving/waxing/removing hair. 28 pages is a lot scroll through--and to avoid repeated questions.

I just got in the game, started shaving my boy down there and it feels great--albeit itchy, which I can live with. I bought a beard trimmer and it seems to work pretty well so no complaints there. Except...the area around my ass and my balls. One is a place I can't see and the other is very sensitive. Neither place I can afford to be careless (I accidently knicked myself a little on the right ball, scary). Now I don't want any thing sharp going near that area and waxing sounds so damn painful, so I'm thinking about hair removal cream/gel like Nair and Veet. Can any one tell me something about these two products. Are they safe, effective? Would you recommend it for removing balls and ass hair? Any alternatives??

Thanks!

Edit: NVM about Nair and Veet. Alternatives?

The first week after the initial trim/shave was pretty brutal. Luckily it was still warm enough outside that I could wear shorts to class, so I opted the boxers and the basketball shorts, to minimize any friction.

As for shaving and hair growing back quicker, that's a myth, so by all means go for the shave. Once you get used to it, you can do it in about a minute when you're in the shower, and it's not risky at all once you know what you're doing. If you don't want itchiness, make sure you shave at least every week (not that difficult) and your hair will stay short enough that you won't experience any friction or pain.

Get past the first little bit, get in the habit, and your skin will get used to it. The only time I feel scratching is if I haven't shaved in over a week.

KellyC 02-08-2007 08:33 PM

Interesting, and CHEAP waxing method. Any one ever heard of it?

I'll give this a try when I have time and privacy and update y'all.

I prefer a hairy bush, myself.
I don't mind if my girlfriend shaves hers clean but she usually leaves it to grow cos she knows I like it.
it seems like somethings missing when its bare and I like to run my fingers through a womans pubic hair.

digme 05-31-2007 11:13 AM

I've been wanting a wax for a long time, but haven't been able to find an aesthetician in my town that is willing to do one below the belt for a man. Well, I finally found one! I am both excited and terrified at the same time. I'll let you know how it turns out.

I was hoping to post before and after shots in the Exhibition forum, but it looks like its gone. What happened to it?

Addendum:

I'll report back with how it went after I get one. You can PM me if you want the name of the salon.

Creizen 06-12-2007 05:19 AM

I shaved for the first time recently(damn its prickly walking about atm). I did it whilst in the shower using a mach 3 turbo and soap. Anyway funny thing :

I was really worried about cutting the jangles so I was taking my time, not did I notice my overflow in the bathroom had infact got blocked.. with er I guess me.

Anyway since I was in there a long time, i got out of the shower into a pool outside the shower. and I could hear a waterfall, then I see the water gushing out of the door onto the first floor, then down the stairs, then onto ..the tv, then flooding the first floor.

So the tv is broken and I had to mop the house for 3 hours(so annoying since I'd JUST cleaned the house, spending about 2 hours). Oh well, I just hope the next time goes better.

On the plus, when I showed my gf, she thought it was good, and then talked about how she'll do oral more often.

macandcheese240 06-14-2007 07:39 PM

I just shaved for the first time like 5 hours ago and i nicked my sac, it hurt like freakin crazy. It also itches like nothing else can.
ohh yeah and i used a mach 3:thumbsup:

ssratt 08-03-2007 11:08 PM

I shave once in a while usually all, but have decided that I will just go for the balls and shaft from now on.
Easier for a condom, otherwise it gets caught and hurts like heck taking it off, as well as easier for BJ, no caught hair
For women I prefer somewhere between neatness and landing strip, not too interested in bald

Now in the other area i just have to find a way to trim it down

Kabsnow 08-19-2007 10:50 PM

I have found the best solution ever. It is almost impossible to cut yourself with this tool. Yes, you can shave the shaft, your balls, and the forest easily as long as you go slowly. Trim it with scissors first and then use this tool. It shaves right down to bare skin, it is, the Norelco body groomer (it is meant for shaving pubes):Norelco Body Groomer

Preference in penis size is like buying a car. Some think a Ferrari is the only car to own and others think a VW Bug is the best thing on wheels. If a woman only enjoys sex with "a big one" then she's got problems inside her head - not in her clitoris.

Girl: That saying, "Isn't the size of the ship... but the motion of the ocean."
Me: Yeah, they say that until they get stuck on a dingy.

Redlemon 10-09-2007 05:07 AM

Or, as a friend of mine would say, "I can't hit the bottom of the well, but I can pound the hell out of the sides."

Scheme 10-21-2007 03:39 PM

I've shaved on and off down there for the past few years, but now I shave around the shaft and balls all the time, keeping them hairless, and shave my upper legs (part hidden if you were to wear briefs) and below the snail trail (my partner loves that bit of hair on me so i keep it for her) every couple of weeks because i myself am not a huge fan of the hair. I'm wanting to wax the hair around my bum but cannot find anywhere, so have asked my partner to do it and think will in the next few weeks.

I'm the first sexual partner that my gf has had and when I met her she didnt shave anything down there. After a while I told her that i'd prefer if she did shave, because I love going down on her (she loves it also) and it'd be nicer for me if she shaved. She's booking a brazillian over the next few weeks herself and I'm realyl looking foward to that :D

Jenna 12-10-2007 05:00 PM

On a guy, I don't really care. I mean, my boyfriend isn't that hairy, so he doesn't shave or trim or anything. But if I was with a guy who had thick hair that got in the way of oral sex, I'd ask him to trim it.

For ladies, I prefer well trimmed or a little landing strip deal. No hair ok, but I think some hair preferable. I have to admit, I'm pretty turned off by a huge bush.

tlsmith 12-12-2007 01:23 PM

can you get an ingrown hair from plucking???

Halx 12-13-2007 10:37 PM

The answer is yes, you can get an ingrown hair from anything.

Unicase 12-16-2007 09:57 AM

What happens if you shave and accidentally cut yourself? Yeah I know it stupid but I don't shave and I especially do not put sharp thing near my under-the-belt-area. But I keep hearing it good. So how would you go with your first shave down there?

thebeat 12-16-2007 10:05 AM

Use a warm wash cloth, hold it down there for a few minutes, grab some shaving cream, and go at it, but do please be careful :)

spiderman 02-01-2008 03:48 PM

Shavers

Just remember shavers that it goes from smooth to scratchy in a day or two and apparently that ain't too hot on your gal's clit ... I shave cupla times a month, balls, shaft and back to the butt.. ..

akdem 03-17-2008 04:53 PM

Should men shave downstairs?

I was just wondering what the general consensus is. Do most women seem to prefer shaved, trimmed, or unshaven pubic hair? My girlfriend shaves, and I didn't know if that meant I should probably do the same, although I do trim...

PonyPotato 03-17-2008 04:58 PM

I personally prefer trimmed. Shaved? Prickly and a bit creepy. Totally ungroomed? Fine most of the time, but hair caught in labia can be a bit painful sometimes. That's why I trim or shave myself. ;)

Why don't you ask your girlfriend what her opinion is?

Sultana 03-17-2008 05:47 PM

Another vote for trimmed here....

settie 03-17-2008 06:12 PM

Trimmed. I agree about shaven being creepy, and prickly. Ungroomed is fine, but I think it takes away from the... main feature. :suave:
A little trim looks great. ;)

Willravel 03-17-2008 06:21 PM

If you're a competitive swimmer? Shave it.
Are you on a deserted island? Don't touch it.
Otherwise? Just trim it.

snowy 03-17-2008 06:24 PM

It should be under control. I totally made fun of my SO when we first got together cause he had some kind of crotch jungle thing going on. But I also don't care for a complete absence of hair; I don't like the friction.

KellyC 03-17-2008 06:24 PM

I shave and trim.
It feels nice and that's good enough for me.

abaya 03-18-2008 04:00 AM

I'm all about the trimming, for both me and my husband. The beard trimmer on his electric shaver is AWESOME for that. Any actual shaving, though, is not really worth the effort, in my opinion... it feels itchy to me after a couple of days, personally. And waxing is definitely not necessary (unless we both do it together, then I'm fine with it)... neat, clean hair is good!!

Psycho Dad 03-18-2008 04:16 AM

levite 03-18-2008 03:19 PM

Don't need to shave my shaft, but Lord knows I would if I did! Yikes!!

Personally, I use my beard trimmer (yes, the same one I use on my beard) to keep the lawn and the hedge short down in Johnsonville. Can't take the notion of shaving-- seems weird to me. But trimming is good. Less shedding when the gf gives me head, too....

whatever1 03-18-2008 03:50 PM

Like everyone else, the boys are shaved nicely. I love the feel of having her rub the smooth boys. I do have to trim the shaft around the base. I also will keep the fro controllable.

Remember, keeping the fro in check gives the extra appearance of an inch or so

Mister Coaster 03-18-2008 06:26 PM

I keep the bat and balls clean, and also trim the outfield on a regular basis.

However, every time I trim the field a little more, then a little more until I simply get rid of it all. It just makes me feel incredibly turned on and ready to go. I'll go completely bare for a while, then let it grow out a bit and start over.

Kahn 03-19-2008 01:40 AM

I trim with my beard trimmer, same one I use on my face. I figure, if I am showered when I trim, and I am the only one using it, who should care. The wife really appreciates not having to rake through a jungle bush to get her treat and it kills the mood when she has to stop and cough up a stray pube like a kitten tossing out a hairball during oral. Total mood killer. Shaving is just not my style, but I ain't knocking it either.

Too scared to shave my balls. Nicking them is not my idea of a fun time. Trim everywhere though.

Jenna 03-19-2008 11:33 AM

I don't think the shaved look is good at all. But, trimming depends. My guy doesn't because he's not a very hairy guy, and he's got lighter hair anyways. However, if a guy has really dark hair and lots of it, trimming is definitely good.

And, I guess before my guy I always stayed pretty far away from balls. But, my boyfriend basically is hairless on his balls because in college he slid on a soapy dorm hallway slip-n-slide. And, forever they were chafed, with no hair growth. Haha.

mixedmedia 03-19-2008 11:40 AM

I've said it before, but no guy need shave nary a hair for me. I love hair. It's a huge turn-on for me.

MuadDib 03-19-2008 12:33 PM

I trim as a matter of courtesy. My feelings on feminine shaving are very strong and, in the spirit of fairness, I hold myself to the same standard. If a woman I'm seeing insists that I don't trim then I suppose I won't, but it's never really come up.

jewels 03-19-2008 12:38 PM

I definitely prefer when he shaves or trims. But I'm good either way, as long as he's clean. And hey, sometimes I don't shave as often in the winter, so if it's okay for me, it sure is okay for him.

World's King 03-19-2008 02:57 PM

I shave upstairs cause that's where my bathroom is.

Oh...

The crotch...

savmesom11 03-19-2008 06:55 PM

I shave because I don't want my bf coughing up a hairball, he shaves because he understands the same....I also like it when his hair is growing back slightly....turns me on big time. A big afro puff of hair, yeah......yuk! Not only do I not want to look at all of that, but I sure don't want to suck on it....

I definitely agree with MM to a certain degree... it's just the length that gets me at certain times. Trimming is nice, but no shaving to the skin for me.
Getting "beard burn" is bad enough on my face after a long weekend that he doesn't shave, elsewhere it SUCKS.

Wow. For how long was he out-of-commission following this incident?

Milnoc 03-20-2008 06:54 PM

I'm pretty hairy all over, especially at the front. Once long ago, I tried trimming down my body hair to the minimum to see if that would be an improvement. It wasn't. And my ex made sure I knew about it! She wanted her huggy bear back! :D

I can't shave down there at all. It's too sweaty, I get a rash, and the stubble becomes so itchy that it distracts me. I don't mind trimming it down however, as long as it's not down to the "itchy" zone which is below an inch in length.

Pubic Trimming Issue

So I am a trimmer of the pubes and have been battling against ingrown hairs along my belt line. They can pop up anytime. Right after a trim or weeks after a trim.

I know how to handle them once they are there, but I was wondering if anyone had any tricks/products on preventing them?

Martian 03-21-2008 04:37 PM

My dangly bits and sharp objects don't mix. I do not and will not shave down there. To be fair, I have no expectation that the lady in my life do so; in fact, trimming is okay (and in some cases encouraged) but outright hairlessness is a bit creepy to me.

I don't bother to even trim right now. If I find myself with a lady friend who requests I do so I probably will, but for now I count it as one of the many advantages of being a bachelor.

I believe that the best thing to do would make sure that you are using a brand new razor. If you can exfoliate the area well before hand that could be helpful as well. The first couple times you shave are the worst, after that the skin does seem to get used to it.

cadre 03-23-2008 09:00 PM

At least trimmed is my rule, I just don't like the afro thing. I love a man who's shaven also but it's no deal breaker.

Personally, I shave and once the hair gets a decent length it really annoys me.

That's thing, I don't shave. I just trim with a beard trimmer and scissors for tough angles. I used to shave and had enough. Trimming does everything I need without the hell of of the itchiness/those ingrowns.

I'm just getting annoyed about the ingrowns that are happening even though I'm not taking the hairs down that close.

Into the penis size megathread it goes

Jampot 05-20-2008 07:57 AM

Pluck it! You have to keep at it but the hair gets thinner and sparser as you keep up to it. Have patience, it works.

Self 06-17-2008 12:43 AM

Lots of mention of fear regarding shaving the scroat. I can only suspect these fears are from those who have literally never even given it a try. The scroat, in my experience, is the easiest thing to shave on my entire body. I don't think I've EVER nicked it. Shaft and base, different story. But the scroat is a pretty clean deal. The skin is a lot tougher there than you might think.

Anyway, I'm totally bald at the moment and I really like it. It's a bit of a pain to maintain, and, frankly, I'm not sure the SO likes it as much as I do, but in general I don't think I can go back to full on bush. It's just so messy, comparatively speaking.

Milkyway 07-01-2008 01:18 PM

Fellas,

How do I convince my man to take the plunge and shave his rod? I am a bare girl and I know he loves that. He would totally get more attention down there if I wasn't fighting with his hairs in my mouth-such a turn off.

But he is a very, very low maintenance kind of guy, doesn't even take the time to shave his face usually, but that doesn't bother me, it is shorter than pubes and doesn't come off in my mouth. I hear bare to bare sex is great, I also hear about heightened sensitivity for bare guys-and I just love anything that drives him wild in bed.

Help me out, what words does a girl need to say to get a guy to do it?

JumpinJesus 07-01-2008 01:30 PM

Tell him being well-groomed and shaved makes him look bigger. If that doesn't work, nothing will.

Jim Kata 07-01-2008 01:39 PM

why don't you tell him that you will be more likely to give him dome if he shaved down there? Just don't say it if you don't mean it.

That should work.

Milkyway 07-01-2008 02:46 PM

He knows I will go down on him either way, but I just would like it more that way and probably because I liked it more would do it a lot more. Plus I would definately spend more time there when I was down there, if that makes sense.

The man knows he doesn't have to worry about his size with me, I have already made that VERY clear, I am VERY happy in that area.

jewels 07-01-2008 02:51 PM

Wouldn't it be easier to just tell him that it would really turn you on? I'm sure he'd wanna please you.

Otherwise, would you consider shaving it for him? That could definitely work. :D

I think the idea of sharp objects by his prized piece is frightening, especially if someone else is in control of the sharp object.

I'm willing to do it, but I am sure he'd say no to that.

Why are men so afraid to shave down there? I guess for the same reason so many woman are afraid to shave themselves-but it is so much better in my opinion.

JumpinJesus 07-01-2008 03:33 PM

I shave down there on occasion, so I can't answer why some men are so afraid of it. But if you really want him to, tell him you're going to let yourself go back to nature until he trims his as well.

Milkyway 07-01-2008 04:13 PM

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH, I couldn't do it!!!!! I am a no hair below the neck kind of girl, have been since I was fifteen, and my guy friends told me it was the best way to get attention down south. Even when I was pregnant and had to do somersaults to reach, I shaved.

But I guess I could try an empty threat, it might make him change his mind, if he can remember what it was like to F*** a huge dust bunny. (He's been caught in my spell for over a decade.)

I so can not imagine living with hair there again! Yuck, I don't know how people do it!

no offense to nonshavers

Read the directions and don't leave it on too long. It's better to realize you didn't leave it on long enough and have to reapply it later than to get a chemical burn there. I used to use it (I haven't been too concerned about getting it bare), but it is the best way to remove hair on the balls. I didn't have any problems with in-grown hairs.

Most of what I'm writing has already been posted, but I feel compelled to add my .02 to the discussion regarding penis size. I'm no expert on erect penis size, which I consider to be a plus since I'm a guy . Most of my observations are based on my limited experiences, & what I've read, heard, and have been told. Some of my thoughts are interrelated, so please forgive the redundancies. These thoughts are partial, much more could be written.

1. The proliferation of pornography.

This has given many people a distorted view of penis size. The guys in porn are hired because they're well-hung, & it's a lot easier to film a 10" cock in action than it is to film a 5" one. This holds true even in the amateur/homemade videos (IMO most of them aren't truly amateur nor homemade). Even when the vids are truly A/H, I'm convinced that most guys who post the vids do so to show off their cocks. The guys with average cocks (myself included) don't because we don't want to appear even smaller by comparison. Or let me put it this way, it would be something like me entering a biggest cock contest--why bother?

2. Women & cock size.

The ladies of TFP have explained this much better I ever can, but here goes. I have no doubt that there are women who require a sizeable cock in order to be satisfied, but I think that this is the exception rather than the rule. IMO adequate foreplay, positions that maximize female stimulation, & good technique go a long way to satisfying a woman. In my limited experience, 8" deep is about the maximum comfort zone. As far as thickness/diameter/girth, I have no idea. This generalization certainly doesn't hold true for all women.

This also relates to porn. I suspect that most of the actresses are hired not only for their looks & bodies, but also their ability to take big cocks. Even at that, I'm curious how many female porn are relieved when the guy pulls out. I'd also venture a guess that not many women want to deepthroat a huge cock.

3. Some realities.

Some positions just won't work with an average-sized cock. You have to find positions that let you use what you have; don't be fooled by what you see in porn.

Women who haven't experienced a large penis are curious to know what it's like. This seems perfectly natural to me, it's like a guy being curious about a woman who squirts, and/or can have multiple intense orgasms. I've heard women say that experimenting with a large toy is one thing, but trying the real thing is what they'd prefer. This doesn't mean that your SO is on the prowl for super-sized cock.

Most guys with average-sized cocks wouldn't mind having a bigger cock. I think that this is true, but I don't want to give the impression that it's an obssession for most guys.

Some (but certainly not all) women will talk about the size of your dick with their friends. Yes, it happens. Hopefully their report will include a glowing account of your performance.

I bought one and I'd recommend it.

Before I'd just shave around my shaft, maybe 5mm, then my sack. Now I use the bodygroom for it with no guard attachment, and if anything it seems smoother. With a razor I just go with the grain so I don't get ingrown hairs. This doesn't result in them, and seems to give a smoother finish than the "harsh" feeling of the shaved bits.

I'm not scared to use a razor on my sack though and it's a bit quicker as you otherwise have to stretch it out which is awkward to do one handed. I've found it's easier to nick your sack with the bodygroom than a razor really.

However, it's in its element for trimming, although I accidentally used the medium length guard, and ended up looking like a pornstar; clearly my view and Phillips' vary in this regard :surprised:

Trim, yes.

Shave, no.

Crew cut is as close as it going to get.

PS: I'm not a fan of women shaving their honey pot bald either. Trim=good. Pre-pubescent hairless=bad.

question: if you shave the shaft, wouldn't the hair grow up short and thick? if so, wouldn't that be very itchy for the guy and painful for the girl?

I shaved my BF today. He had never shaved down there in his life. Did both his balls and shaft. I also trimmed the pubes above the penis. I did it this morning and he said he was burning. He's never been all nice and smooth, I told him he would get all into it and probably be rubbing his smoothness all day. I'll see how it all is tonight. ;D I have also never done anyone other than myself, so that was interesting.
