Physio gal- A Story =D
Hello, Just thought i'd post a thread on here with a story and hopefully encouragement for all (even though it isn't a crazy story or anything...)!
I'm currently taking physio for a dislocated knee that I did in a little while back, whilst i'm off of crutches now and have been for a while I still need to keep going back there for treatments/workouts every week. Anyways there was a nice gal who did my inicial appointment there, and although I don't see her anymore last week i saw here in another room and i stopped by to say hello etc... well we small talked for a while (before then it had jsut been a nod or hello since i did my knee in) then i asked her what she was up to for lunch (jsut kinda threw it into the conversation). She was surprised but said 'nothing', and then i said what time should i pick you up' and she told me '1230'. I'm not normally a 'shy guy' at all but picking up women is not one of my fortes. Anyways I found out that she had a bf very early on in the lunch (before we even got to the cafe) but it was still nice to go out with her. Long story short this incident gave me a lot of confidence and hopefulyl i'll be able to do this 'out of the blue' more often. Good luck to all and take some chances! |

Although she may have a bf, she might be considering other options but didn't want to make it appear so. Why else would she go out for lunch with you? I think in most relationships going out for lunch with someone of the opposite sex is a bit taboo. Especially when it should be fairly obvious that the person who asked you is interested.

It never hurts to go forward and be asertive, as long as it's not in a "pain in the ass" kind of way. Just asking her what she was doing for lunch is totally not assuming, genuine and non-htreatening, because she has an out if she wants it.
Whatever happens from there should be just as genuine though, so try to play it by ear and don't go nuts. Who knows. Even if you never end up being her boyfriend, it never hurts having more friends in this world! Pierre |
