Well after some trying we finally got my wife to enjoy sex again. I used the detane lotion which seems to work. I think it also helped numb my wife a little with all the vagianl tearing she had when she had my son.

The only downside is now my wife wants it every night. Or at least the past 4 nights. I really could use some sleep now.

And what is funny is this is some of the best sex we had had in our 5 years of marriage. I guess something clicked.

my wife just had our first son.....it's now 17 days later and i'm already dieing for some lovn'.

how long it take u guys to get back in the groove? 6 weeks?

my wife didn't tear.....well she was going to so they helped her on that so i'm expecting some time delay.

any words of wisedom on this?

i guess i ws lucky with my wifes two pregnancies....she was horny as hell the whole time, adn was willing to give head and jsut about anything to make me happy (love that insecurity) and then after she was cool with giving me head and just playing with her till she got all healed up...

If you can't keep up you could always try having sex but not letting yourself finish. Before you even start to get to the point of no return pull out and go down her, then after a few minutes go back at it again. Don't try to cut it close, thats just a recipe for blue-balls. At some point just stop, don't finish.

Women have sex without orgasming all the time, its still a lot of fun, and it won't drain your energy.

I can sympathize with seedtime and relate to his success. When I got married 3.5 years ago, we tried to have sex, but my wife was too tight. "This is a problem?" you say -- oh yes. She was very uncomfortable and was in pain the whole time. I could only get it in up to the head and the she made me stop. Anyway, this was the way things were for a long time, and it brought us both way down. Finally, back in November, we were successful in going all the way. The key: LOTS of Astroglide. We were both virgins when we got married, so neither of us knew the vast importance of proper lubrication. But it is definitely much easier and more enjoyable when both parties are good and slicked up.
