Seems like every time after the fiancé' and I have sex, no matter what time day or night I have so much energy its unbelievable. He passes out within a few minutes and I feel as if I could run a marathon. Even if I have had the most exhausting, dragging ass, don't think I can hold my eyes open another minute day, we then have sex .... Bam!!!! I'm good to go for what feels like hours. Sometimes it is nice I can finish things, other times it's awful, cause I want to sleep just so I'm not tired the next day. I'm even on medicine for migraines that cause drowsiness and the adrenaline from sex fights through that. Does this happen to anyone else? Or am I lucky/cursed lol in this? We even tried to change time we had sex but with work schedule ( he on 1st, I on 2nd) that hasn't worked . Any ideas or advice would be wonderful! Thanks

I'm the opposite, most of the time sex makes me drowsy. Though sometimes it has served as a mind-clearing respite that enables me to approach my work with new vigor. I usually appreciate these times.

Though my current pain reliever keeps me incredibly alert if I take it at night. It is nice at first to have that boost of clarity along with an absence of pain, but sometimes I just plain want sleep. I usually write a page or so of whatever is on my mind and try to go to sleep. I slow down my breathing to as slow as possible. It's like a game to see how slowly I can breathe. Between that and surrounding myself with cushy pillows and cuddling with my warm hubby, I usually can get myself to fall asleep.


Sorry I can't offer any monumental words of wisdom.

Thank you both, and Bonkai yes as long as there is an orgasm then there is that "increase" of energy. Now when I was with my ex-husband I never had g-spot orgasms, only clitoral and was able to fall asleep with out problem. Never had the energy I do now but with my fiance' I have intense g-spot ones, several.

I'm not sure if that's the reason or not. And like I said I do enjoy it at times, but if we have sex 2 or 3 nights in a row then those days following I'm a walking zombie from lack of sleep. I haven't thought about a doctor because I didn't think it heeded that medical opinion yet. I figured I would ask around here first. And do appreciate all that have replied.

I have several and that's what I was wondering if my "problem" was stemming from. With my ex-husband I only had clitoral orgasms and was always able to go to sleep right away, but with current fiance' I have g-spot orgasms(several) and have burst of energy afterwards. Now I don't know if they are connected and that's why I came here asking. But am glad ppl are responding

After sex I usually lay unmoving for a few minutes then have to get out of bed because there is no way I can sleep. I don't feel like running a marathon but I'm usually awake for a good 3 hours afterward.

Just glad to see I'm not the only one. I normally just clean house till I finally run outta steam, then go curl up w him and out I can go. But I have to use up some of that energy or its no use in trying to go bk to bed.

After a good sex session my wife is ready to curl up and fall asleep. I'm on the other hand wide awake and full of energy. Not exactly ideal as I need all the sleep I can get ( the joy of multiple children...)

Amen to that! The fiance and I together have 5, (3 from my previous marriage and 2 from his) plus he works day shift and I 2nds. So sleep is a must! Lol

My experience with this is that if I get off only once I will be wide awake and loaded with energy. But if I am able to multiple orgasms I will usually be worn out enough to sleep. Maybe you're similar.
