Pregnancy from pre-cum? Fingering? Rubbing?
I know it's a cardinal sin to post a stupid question like this without reading a text on human biology and doing some research on your own, but I saw some pretty good threads here, and people seem to know what they're talking about, so I thought I'd give it a shot.
I actually arrived here from Google on the thread with the guy who was freaking out over fingering his Thai girlfriend and wanted to abort a child that never existed. Anyway. My girlfriend and I got a little more into it yesterday (yay). She jerked me off and I came, then we fell asleep for a bit. I didn't get any sperm on my hands, at all. Later, I fingered her and then for some reason we took our underpants off and I rubbed my penis on the tip of her vagina like a giant turd without actually penetrating (thinking it's harmless). No penetration, whatsoever. I might have had pre-cum at that point, I'm not sure. I know I had it earlier with the handjob (She thought I came but it was pre-cum). That being said, is there a possibility of pregnancy if I had pre-cum on my penis when I rubbed it against her vajayjay? Or on the hand I used to finger her? Or pre-cum in general without penetration? Some facts (Don't know if they'll help): - She's a virgin. - First sexual encounter (Never been fingered etc before). - I'm hairy. (This has nothing to do with anything). Anyway, I talked to her about it tonight and we're not freaked out or anything, although she did find some shit on Google that scared her. Any help or advice would be excellent. Btw, should I abort it if she's preggers? (Just kidding).

It's very unlikely but possible that she could get pregnant. I wouldn't get yourselves worried about it, but I also wouldn't do that again if you're not prepared to deal with the potential consequences.
If you don't mind my asking, how old are you two if this is your first encounter? This is something you should really consider when engaging in behaviour that might lead to pregnancy. Are either of you really ready to have to make the decision to keep or abort?

Woot, hall of fame.
We're both 20. And it's not our first encounter. We've done all of it before minus my big penis fail. We're gonna be more careful now that we know that you can get pregnant without having sex, which is fucked up. Anyway, she talked to a pregnant friend of hers and she's been told not to worry about it. We're calm for now. Also, how long does she have to wait until she can pee on a stick? She's counting down the days to her period.

It is not particularly likely that a woman will become pregnant merely from contact with seminal fluids (pre-cum). But it is possible. The basic rule of thumb is that if you're concerned about pregnancy, your penis should simply never touch her vagina without your wearing a condom. Not in any way. You should certainly never ejaculate on her vagina, or between her vaginal lips; but even the release of seminal fluids can be risky. Generally speaking, seminal fluids do not have much sperm in them; but they can and usually will have a few. The odds are heavily against one of those few actually entering a fertile egg, but it has been known to occur. Virginity, by the way, is no guarantee that impregnation will be difficult. There have been a number of recorded cases of women becoming pregnant by means of ejaculate on the vagina, or through partial penetration, with their hymens still intact. As for pregnancy tests, most will have such information printed on the box. But the usual minimum timeframe is 7 to 10 days after the unprotected sexual encounter, an over-the-counter urine test will be able to function properly. And, of course, if you're really freaking out, and feel like you can't wait a week, there's always the Morning After pill.

There is little doubt in my mind that she is indeed pregnant. Unfortunately, since there was no real penetration, your baby will in fact come out looking like a giant turd.

To be serious for a moment....
A urine pregnancy test works by detecting a hormone called hCG. Hormone levels are measured in an essentially arbitary unit called IU. In a normal non-pregnant woman this hormone is present at less than 5 mIU/mL in her blood. A urine test relies on the fact that if left in the bladder for a few hours, the urine absorbs the hormone until it is in equilibrium with the level in the blood. In a newly pregnant woman, the hormone level climbs slowly in the first couple of weeks after fertilisation, until it's around 15-20 mIU/mL on the presumed due date of the next (and now missed) period. At this point the hormone level rises geometrically, doubling every 24-48 hours. Most pregnancy tests available to the public will detect the hormone at around 20-25 mIU/mL and these can be used any time AFTER a missed period (ideally around 3 weeks after the presumed exposure to pregnancy). The best urine to test is that from the first urination in the morning as this has the hormone present in very good equilibrium with the blood. There are tests available that show a result at levels as low as 10 mIU/mL, however there is a huge downside to these. They will detect before a missed period, but they can give false positives much more often than the higher range tests - this is due to the fact that an estimated 25% of fertilised eggs do not develop into a full pregnancy. In these cases you can get a small hormone spike before the period is due, followed by a largely normal period. In these cases, it is entirely possible that you will see a test tell you you're pregnant, followed by your body telling you quite dramatically that you are not.

Well, it could be that an update never came because she was, in fact, pregnant and the poster now spends all of his time working and readying the baby's room. Plus at this point along (~7 months) those wonderful birthing classes start. The videos are super, you'll really like them.

Actually, you're wrong. She could be pregnant. Statistically it's unlikely, but it's still possible.
