Hey all. Well I have just recently discovered that I get quite turned on by porn (*shocker* haha). I'm a 24 year old female, and have never really been interested in it, but actually through this site found some links and watched a bunch of clips and it did wonders. I'm not into watching a whole video, I find the idea of plot and all that ridiculous, I like the goods. I basically just like to see the act, the in and out of it, if you know what I mean. What I'm wondering is if this is the same for guys and well other girls too? I wasn't necessarily turned on by the look of the guys, a lot of em were ugly actually, it was more about like I said, the in and out of it haha. So when you guys are watching porn, is it the girls you're getting turned on by, or is it more like me, just the act of it all? I know I'm late in discovering that this can be a turn on for me, but I'm just sort of wondering what it does for everyone else, and what about watching it turn you on? I have always wondered why some girls get mad at their boyfriends for watching porn, it has never bothered me, even though I didn't watch it myself. But I guess I can see it worrying some people if the guys watch it to think about the girl in the video, rather than their girlfriend. Anyways, I am sorry for the rambling and not very to the point post, I just wanted to know a little more about what everyone's opinion is and what it is that turns them on? Thanks

I was about 24 when I started getting interested in porn, too, and TFP helped me a lot with that, too. (I also started having sex when I was 24, incidentally, lol.) I just want to say I love this thread. :-)

And porn, too, of course. While I can kindof understand why some ladies feel threatened by it, I don't think they quite realize the...detachment might be the right word....that guys (or at least me) feel about porn. Sure...it involves sexual release...but it's fundamentally different (to me) than actual intimacy.

I don't watch a whole flick either, I don't get it. I like the in and out, but I like the kink stuff too. When I first started watching porn, the attractiveness of the girl(s) mattered more then than they do now. I think partially that was because I never saw the real thing in person at that point. Now, it is the sounds the girl makes that do it for me. Can't put my finger on why though.

As for the attractiveness now, it may get me in the door, but within a minute (maybe a few?) in my mind I replace the people in the scene with my fiancée and I. Porn really just gets me started now, I do the rest.

The thing I dislike the most about porn, is the piss poorness of the attempts to make a plot. Comedians for years have been pointing this out and it rings very true. I'd doubt at any time anyone truly interested in watching anyone have sexual contact is going to be concerned with a plot or story line.

What I'd like to see more than anything is two people actually enjoying a sexual encounter. Not pretending to drop the towel when the pizza delivery guy comes to the door. The obviously fake sounds made by porn actors is another poor quality of most porn. the natural sounds and breathing patterns that two (or more I guess) people engaged in sexual activity would be a better option. An appropriate mood music wouldn't be bad either I suppose.

I guess what I would rather see is a movie with people actually engaging in sex and not acting. Not even so much amatuer porn, but real sex.

robot_parade- glad I didn't make a terrible thread haha. I'm also glad to know that guys (well you at least) view porn with the same sense of detachment that I do. It all makes sense to me now. Although I'm sure some guys are not like that, I think for the most part that is why people watch porn, to get off, not to fantasize about the uglies making it haha.

RedSabre- I am glad you like the thread as well I think watching a whole film would be a waste of time. I know I have in the past and didn't like it. I was like, oh that's cheesy, look at her nails, what is she wearing, where the hell are they etc etc.

psychodad- that makes sense, seeing real people having real sex. What does bother me in some of the clips is the artificiality of the sounds the girls are making. You KNOW she's not doing that coz it feels good, it's just for show. I really like the sounds too, but find the guys don't say to much. I like to hear how he's feeling too! But fake sex sounds, fake orgasms, that's not much of a turn on.

Oooh I know! I'm not in a relationship right now, but I do have some pictures that I've been sent by a couple of the guys I've been with, and just seeing their *ahem* members does wonders for me. It's much better than a porno dick, so I can imagine having that be on video would be even hotter. That's interesting, I once had a girlfriend who didn't like porn at all, but didn't mind if I had or watched it (when she wasn't around though).

Porn is a completely detached reality for me, always has been, mainly because I can't really bring myself to have sex with someone I don't have an emotional attachment to.

I kind of wish Hollywood films went further in what they show. Like if there is a sex scene, actually show it. If I watch porn to get aroused, then the in & out and the cumshot inside a girl will do it for me, but I wouldn't mind seeing more sex and nudity in Hollywood films in order to make them more real.

I'm sure that part of the reason there's not as much explicit sex is the censors. HOWEVER, to be honest, I think that many directors would balk at showing the more explicit scenes because they detract from the story. In many movies, the love scenes are just that -- LOVE scenes. They're meant to show that the two characters care about each other. The sex isn't meant to arouse -- it's meant as a plot/characterization device. Showing the in and out / cumshot dehumanizes the characters into merely sexual beings. And, besides, it's just not that classy!

But I do agree...there are some cases where the explicit stuff would be awesome to show. A movie about Geishas or something similar would be a perfect vehicle for that.

I'm not a "porn" movie fan, I prefer pictures, or stories. I've tried to get my wife to look at movies with me, but she only seems half interested. She does like to read some stories, but not very often. I like stories because of the imagination thing, I really can put myself in them.

Have you seen any of the movies made by Comstock Films? We own one, and it is basically two professional porn stars (married in real life) having sex... in a very hot, real way. You aren't getting the full variety of body types with (most) porn. Nude beaches are much more educational in that regard. The only common factor between the bodies are that their owners are comfortable wearing them. I once met an 80ish year old woman on a nude beach who had had a full single mastectomy, with no reconstruction - and she was comfortable with it. That is true beauty.

I agree in the sense that I like the noises. ALL the noises that make sex what it is. What I don't like is when the girl is going for the Oscar winning performance and it just cums (hehehe) off as cheesy to me.
