I don't share. If you don't really want to, then neither should you. I couldn't even date a woman knowing she was seeing (or even had feelings) for someone else. You want to date me? Then date me. You want to have feelings for someone else and date me too? no.
Is that selfish of me to say that a girl that I am commiting all my intentions and affection on must have the same level of commitment that I have? Maybe, but that's just the way I (and a lot of people) work.

So, after she comes back, and you're married, and you guys are snuggled on the couch. . . . think of that thing she does with her tongue and remember that he tought it to her. Right before she came back.
Mull that over for a while and answer it honestly. Not to us, but to yourself. |

Could not have said it better myself. Women tend to be self centred (flame away, but it's been my experience) and will always try to move up a peg or two in their males if they can. A little story (a true one, and yes, it's a friend, not me, I'm a longer story) I had a friend who was MAD about this woman (why, I will never know). He ADORED her, worshipped the ground she walked on (the little porker that she was) Anyway, blah blah blah, they get engaged. My GF at the time is to be one of the bride's maids. This chick, call her L is working at a retail store and through her work, she meets a guy who is a doctor (my friend is a lowly graduate Engineer) Anyway, Doc Friendly asks her out for lunch. She accepts. (But wait, aren't you engaged to be married in a few months? To a guy who adores you?) She doesn't tell my friend about it (naturally), but makes the mistake of telling my GF about it. She goes out for lunch with Doc Friendly, they have a good time. He asks her out again, she accepts. Now she starts to analyze why my friend is not the right guy for her. He's too this, he's too that, whatever. (My friend is about as great a guy as you'd ever find in a million years of searching.) Anyway, she's getting ready to dump my friend, when Doc Friendly stops calling. (I have no idea if he banged her. Probably.) So, my friend is back on the front burner, and they get married and live in the suburbs happily ever after (if you call living with that happy.) Moral of the story, you have a woman who is exactly like Porkie Pig in my story. Ask yourself if you want to be looking over your shoulder for the rest of your life? |

All of my girlfriends name things that are wrong with their men... but it's basically the same issue. They're too damn picky and want a "soulmate" or someone who is Prince Charming or some other shit like that. They may name some of the same things that I've been frustrated with ktspktsp about in the past, but somehow those things haven't caused us to break up (and I credit much of that to him!). I'm not about to jump on the next guy who presents himself to me just because ktspktsp and I have to actually WORK on our relationship and be 100% committed to each other, even on the days when we don't like each other. In terms of "settling," DON'T settle for a woman who thinks she's "settling" to be with you. Seriously. Save yourself that massive injustice and get the hell out.
