Does this ever happen to you?
This has been happening as far back as I can remember and It is not really freaky or scary but just wierd.
Sometimes I will think of something for example like last night I was thinking abou the Simpsons episode where they are in the library and Cletus gets a book and says, "Nothing cracks a turtle like Leon Uris." He is a famous writer if you dont know who writes large novels. Anyways today when I woke up I went downstairs and that exact same episode was on TV at the exact same point where I remembered it the day before. This happens to me off and on, for some reason specifically about the Simpsons alot but movies and stuff too. Like I will be thinking about a movie and then that night the same exact movie will be playing on TV without me knowing about it before hand. Does this happen to anyone else? |

happens to me quite often. Doesnt happen very far in advance, but maybe 30 seconds to a minute on average. I'll be thinking of something and next thing you know, itll be happening. Mostly with TV shows and the like, but sometimes with conversation too.

I have a variation of that happen to me often. I will be watching one show and it would have a certain thing or theme in it. And then I will watch another show later the same day with the same thing/theme in it.

What a strange topic for me to choose for my first post here! My birthday is April 24th.. Now, I am not a huge clock watcher, mostly because I don't work and therefore don't need to check the time constantly, so this has really facinated me the past few years it's been happening.
DH gets home usually aroung 3:30 or so and we don't have any particular show that we normally watch that comes on before 6 p.m. or so, so I am not really tuned into the time until then. However, for a few years now, it will pop into my brain to check the time (whether I'm cooking, cleaning, reading, feeding the furry kids, etc.) and the time will be 4:24 (my B-day)! This means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things and DH just gives me a "so what" look when it happens and I point it out, but it seems kind of freaky to me as it happens so very often. My sister's B-day is the day before mine April 23rd. and I've caught that also (as 4:23) but not as often as my B-day date/time. It has also happened to me quite often when the time is 7:11. I don't know if Seven Elevens are all across America, but they're a 24 hr. convienience store here in Michigan (the Circle K in Bill and Ted's reminded me of them). None of this is important, it's just strange to me that every one of my days is different and yet I seem to hit these times on the clock quite often. Anyone else experience this? Anyway, that's my thunks. Ali

Ah yup, that has happened before. My situations are really weird though. I'll have a dream years before and then that dream will later on come true. One of the most recent occurences was a street intersection in Germany from last summer. I had dreamed of it years ahead of time and eventually had visited the place for reall.

Yes, it has happened to me on numerous occasions, but not regularly. Usually happens with sitcoms. I'll be thinking about a particular episode of MASH, for example, for no apparent reason, and sometime in the next week it'll come on.

That happens to me all the time. With common things, shows or songs etc. that get a lot of airplay and I watch often I just chalk it up to crazy coincidence. Sometimes though its a little weird. For instance: I was at a friends house and in the course of a conversation I said "So, say you're a white South African. If you move to America, are you an African-American"? That night we were watching Saturday Night Live and Charlize Theron was hosting. This was a first run episode, not a repeat. During her monologue they did a skit where one of the cast members came out and ased if she was from South Africa, she said yes but now she lives here and they of course did the bit about her being an African American. Not exactly a subject that comes up every day. My friend looked at me like she'd seen a ghost.
Another time I was driving home and thinking about the movie "Strange Brew" and getting a chuckle wishing I could watch it. When I got home it was just coming on television! They don't run it often and I love the movie so I would have remembered seeing a preview or tv guide listing. I've thought about friends I haven't seen in years and then get a phone call within a day or so. Kinda weird stuff but I can't seem to summon those damn lottery numbers so I can't put much stock in it! There is a book called "Illusions" by Richard Bach that somewhat addreses this sort of thing. It mentions how thinking about a thing will bring it to you. Its a fictional story but a really good read and a great way to look at life.

lately I haven't had a lot of deja vu but I have it often enough..there are two times that I can definitely remember having deja vu..one I was sitting outside doing my sister's hair and another I was outside with friends and one of them was sitting on the back of the car..they aren't very significant but I always feel as though I've done that or been there before..I think it was this summer that I had a bunch of times where I felt as if I had already done certain things...I always think though that I've seen them in dreams but it could have to do with that wrong brain wave or whatever it was..dreams actually being memories or such

I have wrote this kinda thing in anouther thred. I have this happen to me sometimes too. I think we have are life already maped out for us and it just sometimes comes out in us. Also I think thats how people that can tell the future do it, I think its all in the back of our mind whats going to happen I just think we cant get that part of us out. Sometimes you have moments that happen, that you normally wouldnt see. There is a part of me that wants to beleive that but also not cuz I dont liwk to feel like I really dont have any control over whats happening and going to happen!
