Personal U.F.O encounters?
Just curious to find out what we have all "seen", that would classify as unidentified.
Mine: About three O'clock in the morning, the house begins to hum. Everyone in the house (mom, two sisters and a brother, as well as myself) wake up at about the same time. We search the house for the humming, which is almost vibrating the house. After about fifteen minutes we all decide it is coming from outside. we go to the backyard to investigate and the humming is lesser outside, but still audible. There is no moon on this night but the feeling is there that the sky is the source of the hum-vibration. Looking skyward we all notice an area of sky, about the size of a tennis ball held at arms length, that has no stars. It is stationary in the night sky. We all spend the better part of two hours looking and wondering what the hell this is. As the sky begins to brighten at dawn the humming goes away, just as the stars fade and the "blank patch" literally fades to dim stars. Stll cannot explain this, what do you all have?

Well I had two experences that still stick out in my mind.
First one I was driving back from a friends house with another buddy a sleep in the passenger seat. And to my 11oclock I saw a green light in the distance. Didn't think much of it. Till this light did a loop at speeds that that was too fast for any know aircraft we know of. This was at about 2am And 2 years ago, I was running some errands. This was about 1-2pm in the afternoon. Spring day with a few clouds, when I noticed this Object which is best discribed as Sqaure or Rectanglar. Just Hovering in the air at about 1000 feet. Till a cloud passed by and covered the object, once the cloud blew by the object was gone. BTW, my mom has said once that she heard a Humming sound late at night also. She didn't really want to go investigate it though. Last edited by Wulf_Hunter; 07-17-2004 at 02:15 PM.. |

Last year I saw something in the sky that was shrouded by clouds but....
It was a HUGE oval shape, bright Fire Orange, and moving lots faster than I was driving, in the sky and moving horizontal to the ground. Way too large for a ball of lightning, and if it were an astroid in the space and burnt out when it hit the atmosphere. Well it was so huge that I would have heard about a major meteor hit in the paper the next day.. and I did not. I cannot think of any other explanation. I've also seen something VERY mettalic in the sky once when I was drving home from class one day. It wasn't the sun, and it wasn't the moon (they were both out already... it was a summer's evening). It wasn't a blimp or plane as it wasn't really moving. No weather balloons as they don't release them in this area. Still.. it COULD be a Weather Balloon.. aside from a UFO.. it was a weather balloon, those are the only two explanations I can think of.

I've had 3 experiences throughout my life, if you can believe it:
In the summer of 1978, I was camping with 2 friends in my back yard (I was 10). We were laying on sleeping bags, looking up at the stars on a exceptionally clear evening, when a bright white sphere with sharp edges about the size of a golf ball stretched out at arms length slowly phased into view moving slowly to the north-northeast, made a 10-15 degree turn, and traveled a small way farther, and phased into invisibility again. The sphere returned approximately 5 minutes later, following the same pattern, just in reverse of the path it had taken before, phasing into, and out of visibility as it had before. We all had seen the exact same thing, and it scared the living shit out of us. Needless to say, we slept in the house for the night. I'll post the other 2 instances later, when I have the time. |

Both of these happened when i was somewhat young (less than 6) so they are kind of vague, but my parents saw them too and as i look back on it i can find no reasonable explanation for them.
to start off, i used to live in a 53 story apartment in Moscow, Russia... one night when i looked out the balcony, i saw four large swirling spots hovering in the air, spinning around eachother... (as if they were sitting on an invisible wheel that was turning) there was no building accross from us for atleast half a mile (infront was a playground/park area, then a boulevard/park) another time, when i looked out the kitchen window, i saw this orange-redish sphere hovering outside in the sky for several minutes in the same place (it wasn't just the moon) it's hard to say the size versus the distance, but perspectively it wasn't larger than a quarter, maybe halfway in size between a nickel a quarter... |

I'm 99% that what I saw was a UFO.
About 3 years ago, It was about 2 in the afternoon and I was outside doing some work. I look up to the sky, and I see a group of about, 50 small matelic objects. I thought they were birds at first. But then I realized they were MUCH too high to be birds, and there was too many of them to be a flock. They were moving irraticly as well. They would move a bit to one side, then immedtialy move in the other direction. They were shimmering as well. They would disappear then reappear somewhere else nearby a couple seconds later. I watched as this went on for about 2 or 3 minutes. Then they suddenly vanished. I didn't think much else of it, untill a couple weeks later when I was watching a UFO show. They were showing video clips and describing things lots of people have reported and have been determined to be UFOs. They showed a video of the same thing I saw. Theres no doubt in my mind that it was some kind of UFO. Maybe aliens, maybe not. But it was definitly something paranormal. |

I was with my father in his truck with the family. I dont remember when but maybe when I was like 14 or so. Anyways we were driving home and went through the back country roads and came to a stop sign. As we were slowing down my father pointed into the night sky out his window and told us to look over.
In the sky there were 7 lights that looked like stars but they were way lower on the horizion than the other stars in the sky and it just started to get dark and the other stars were not nearly as bright. So at the stop sign we sat for about 20sec looking at the lights and then they started to change formations from a diamond to square to random shapes. They must of taken 5 or 6 shapes, Then my dad came to the conclusion that what we were looking at was not important and continuted on. Im not sure what it was but whatever. Its my UFO story and Im sticking to it, |

could have been jet-planes... i forget how the color spectrum works but due to the dopler effect, if an object is moving away from you really fast it will appear either blue (blue has longer wavelenth, right?)

About three or four years ago, my friends and I were skating outside on the street at about 11 at night. As we were resting for a minute we looked up in the sky and saw small a green light flying from left to right, streaking across the sky. It was traveling extremely fast and began to descend behind the trees as if were about to crash. Just after it went down behind the treeline we saw a huge green flash that lit up the area like lightening. about 5 seconds later we saw three jets following where the UFO had gone.
The next day at school one of my other friends said he had heard on the news about a UFO being sited in the Atlanta area that night.

Todd, you probably had a low blood pressure moment. I get them fairly often. When it happens, I see sparkles in a cresent in my field of vision. When my blood pressure increases to normal, it goes away.
My brother-in-law and his younger brother filmed an alien spaceship landing in their back yard, and aliens getting out and bothering their house. They filmed this in about 1960. It was pretty hard to fake motion pictures back then, and they only had a home movie 8mm camera. They showed the film to an 8 year old neighbor boy and had him freaked out for some time. They used a garbage can lid suspended by fishing leader for the space craft and dressed up as aliens for that part. I'm pretty skeptical about strange encounters with UFOs, etc. Think about it. If a space fairing species was to approach a distant planet (Earth) they would study it with telescopes and radio telescopes first, then send a probe. Along the way, they'd surely discover intelligent life here. So they'd contact us remotely, to parley peace before visiting. At least if they were able to perceive us as intelligent life. The best and most real movie about alien contact, is CONTACT. I love that movie. The teleportation/communication machine at the end gets a bit fanciful, but the contact stuff is right on. And we have been searching for such a signal for decades, and haven't found one yet. |

Always wanted to see a UFO as I do believe there are such things and we keep
getting stories from old Army,Air Force and Navy men who swear that they have seen them and are sure the US.Government knows about them but refuses to tell us the truth but I have never seen anything in the sky except birds, clouds or airplanes. |
