Chinese Airport Infested with UFOs...
... And I, for one, welcome our new alien overlords...
...sorry couldn't resist. UFO in China Closes Airport and Prompts Investigation - ABC News So that's a little bizarre huh? The video on the page shows some of the pics but there are better versions out thar if you google it. Hoax? Military aircraft? Satellite? Space garbage? Swamp gas? Aliens hell bent on enslaving the human population to harvest salt on the moons of Koozebane? Interesting story what do you folks think?

Even if it's fake or if there is a perfectly good explanation (military tech test, drone, or whatever), it's still pretty cool.

Wow saw the first video but not the second...astoundingly cool. I never know what to make of this stuff the kid in me is all "OMG ALIENS, KICK ASS!!" the rational adult "Well it has to be fake otherwise a logical explanation exists, I'm sure of it."
Regardless I've always been fascinated by this stuff.

Thanks!
I LOVE this kinda shit. Big Time...Always have, as some of you are well aware - by now. I'm waiting to hear what the Chinese Government comes up with as an explanation, i.e. "their version of swamp gas or weather air balloons." Why would We be so ignorant to think that we are the only form of intelligent life* in the Milky Way or Universe, for that matter? NOTE: the * after intelligent.

I, for one, would love for an alien species to make contact with us to set up trade or to establish diplomatic ties or what have you.
If they have the tech to visit us practically undetected for so many years, then I'm willing to believe that they don't have belligerent intentions. Though I suppose it would be rather frightening if they did. I wouldn't mind an alien species coming down here and scaring the shit out of us and forever changing the makeup of our global society. The same thing happened in the New World when all those White Men came and did their thing. It doesn't have to turn out the same way if the Green Folk start making contact with us. With any hope, they're a species (or several) who have been able to progress technologically because they've already progressed philosophically and spiritually or somesuch that they aren't here to conquer but to enrich lives in a win-win situation. I just found a renewed gusto for reading sci-fi!

I've always wondered if all these UFO's are time travelers. It would kind of make sense...in a way. They never make contact, hover off in the distance just observing, abduct drunk rednecks so they can study ancient man without being discovered (ie who would believe him?) ect. Think about it if you were to go back in time and try to witness say, the crucifixion of Christ wouldn't you hover far off in the distance in your time machine observing things with your futuristic space goggle binocular periscope thingy instead of making contact and potentially altering history?

Maybe they're on an information-gathering mission. They're looking for ways to stop the Apocalypse.

OMG - This is so like "The Day The Earth Stood Still". BG, can I ride on the spaceship that takes you to their home and help everyone "just get along?".
Honestly, I think they know far more about us than we have ever imagined. And perhaps they want us to reach out and contact them in a friendly pro-species way. I think we can deal with it well, except I worry that the big governmnets will distort any kind of interaction in a way that will be political - Yikes... that's more scarey that meeting Aliens! It might be the next big step for us as a species. And in truth, we must be willing to open our minds to interplanetary liasons, because it might be what saves us from global war and cultural decay. Nope, I'm not gonna go Mayan and Roman and Egyptian here because, let's face it....aren't we all more scholared about past histories? And yet, we are mere babes in the "woods".

The images in the first video look suspiciously like run-of-the-mill satellite flares
http://www.ajaytalwar.com/Iridium-Fl...ay07-lores.jpg August 27, 2001 Aurora Gallery As for the second video, it wouldn't be the first time in recent history a rocket launch has roused cries of "UFO." The Long March 2F and 3B launch vehicles have 6 and 7 engines, respectively, and could easily produce the contrails seen in the video. Last edited by MSD; 07-15-2010 at 04:52 PM.. |

Interesting MSD you might be onto something there...but c'mon ALIENS!! Finding out its a satellite is like the first time you find your Dad sticking presents under the tree, life just somehow isn't as awesome anymore. Yeah I was actually leaning somewhat in that direction too...but I don't know some of these pics are a little odd and it did shut down an airport, here's a few I found on google supposedly from this event.
Being pets for our new alien masters won't be THAT bad I 'spose.

I have no idea Sun Tzu I just did a google search to round up some of the pics I'd seen, I just grabbed them from the first site I came across. It very well could be photo shopped for all I know...and in fact wouldn't surprise me if it was.

If there was another intelligent life capable of crossing the mindfuckingly huge distances involved in space travel we wouldn't ever have the slightest idea they were here. Traveling 100 light-years is a way harder trick then invisibility or a myriad of other technologies that would produce the same effect. IE observing us without accidentally showing their existence.
The whole UFO theory rests on the fact that they mistakenly show us their presence. Ridiculous. |
