Bloodhound Gang - Sweet as a(the?) Punch
I liked this a lot more than cha cha twist, its faster Sonic Youth - Sugar Kane slower, didnt like it as much, sounds kindof like everything else... The Donnas - Skintight still waiting for it The White Stripes - Hypnotize still waiting for it The Ravonettes - Attack of the Ghost Riders Not bad...for some reason it reminded me a lot of Blur, but it is nothing like it NOFX - Black & White Couldn't find it, found Dinosaurs Will Die which was flat out awsome Rancid - Olympia Song I found was called Olympia Wa., I am assuming it is the same thing. Deminds me of Dropkick Murphys, only more descirnable vocals. I liked this one. AFI - Fall Children Sounds a lot like Pennywise, fast.... The Adicts - Get Adicted I didnt think much of this song until the guitar solo in the middle...The chorus isnt bad, Thanks for the help so far |

Zeke - I believe in Miracles
Wasnt what I expected given the song title, the vocals are kindof wavy, but the rest is good...it sounds like the song is about it being a miracle he is still alive after all the drugs he did (or does, not sure about that part) Zeke - Evil Dead It is all out Punk, but its the kind where I have no idea what he is saying w/o reading lyrics along with the song..so it is a lot different thean the last song, at least all the songs dont sound the same... Glassjaw - Siberan Kiss You are right, this song is heavy. Reminds me of sevendust a bit, and early early incubus a lot. Glassjaw - Monster Zero The version I download is really really bad quality, even though its is 128k...might be live but w/o a crowd, cant tell..but it sounds like shit. Glassjaw - Cosmopolitan Blood Loss Of the 3 songs Ive heard so far this is the best one, the double hit on the drums and giutar that gets repeated 3 times (a lot later) in a row is pretty cool Glassjaw - Radio Cambodia This doesnt sound like any of the other songs. The singer doesnt sound lazy either, I hate it when someone is singing and it sounds like they dont even care what they are saying or that someone might listen to it. Glassjaw - Babe I dont like this song at all, probably the worst one ive heard Glassjaw - Ape Dos Mil Slower, kindof trippy. I dont undertand the title, Glassjaw - Hurting and Shoving Sounds like Babe, only a little slower |

I'm glad you like the reviews. I think i am going to start putting more into them. It's difficult trying to explain the music and what I think about it with words, but what doesn't kill you only makes you stronger. Eitherway, that last patch is going to take a little longer.

Lost Prophets - Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja
The opening was amazing. The vocals are clear, the guitar is good. The guitar almost sounds like a fast tool song. I liked this song, but I do not understand the title. Lost Prophets - A Thousand Apologies I liked the point where it quickly slowed down and faded away, I dont think I've ever heard anything like that in a song before. I think it would be better with a bit more silence after the fade, but they did pick it right back up good. There is a weird sound that is like a beep that goes from a high to a lower pitch, it could use more of that. Lost Prophets - Five is a four letter word The way this starts off really reminds me of old incubus (their science CD). It has a good beat. The Apex Theory - 4 Ra's Heavy, a lot of deep sounds. I think I hear like a kongo drum or something softly in the back ground. Well, I dont know much about instruments, so Ill just stick with non-tradional drum instead of kongo. They have a very interesting sound when it is just a part w/o the vocals. The Apex Theory - Aisle Always I really like this band. The reason is to do with something I would call an original unique sound. The guitar is just out there, really different. The Apex Theory - Apossibly Again, the guitar, and a ringing sound this tmie. It sounds like they are building up to somthing. Yep, they were, a nice quite moment right before it hit as well. I wish I knew more about music so I could try and explain what the guitar part sound likes. The Apex Theory - Bullshed This start of this song sounds like osmething you would hear in a sic fi movie right when they had a wide shot of some huge amazing area. That is as creative as I get, so take it as you will. But If I was mkaing a movie I would use this song. I really do like it better than the last 2, but so far Apex Theory is one of the best bands I have heard today that I did not know about yesterday. The Apex Theory - Swing This This song belongs as the background music for a mental hospital. I really like the creative sound that they have been making in all of their songs. AFI - The Boy Who Destroyed The World Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. Took me a while, but I'm pretty sure thats where I first heard this. If not, then I have heard it somewhere else, and I have heard it a lot. Im not to sure, but it is good and nice to have. AFI - God Called In Sick Today Slower than the last song. picking up, maybe building to something. It gets louder, and better. AFI - Days of the Phoenix This I have heard before. Either a video game or a compilation CD. This is an excellent song. I thought I was oging to try and put more into my reviews, but I just dont know enough about music to. Right now I regret never taking a music appreciation course in college. So make sure you do if you get the chance. I'm going to submit this now and contine with the rest of your suggestions. |

NOFX - The Decline
18 minutes and 21 seconds. Starts off fast with a good sound. I dont see how they can keep this up for 18 minutes. It almost sounds like the song switches at 3 minutes. Maybe I have an entire CD instead of a single song. But the guitar in this one is amazing. New song? 3:41 Slower, I knew they couldn't keep it fast...nevermind I shoudl eat my words. They are doing something with the channels in this part. Making sound faraway (maybe my setup) then in full stero, like a QA session or something. a trumpt and a bell kicked in at around 6:30, nice. Damn, at 13:20 this becomes amazing. It sounds like a march at the end. Dead Kennedys - Holiday in Cambodia I really like these songs that build up to something, and this one has a lot of orignial noises in it. LIke wailings or something, either way it belnds perfectly with the guitar and dum when their respective beats kick in. The voice is a little weird, it almost matches up exactly with the beat. Eittherway, this song isnt bad, and im going to sleep for now. Ill get the rest tommorow. Thanks for all your help |

If you like Kotton Mouth Kings, then you may like Corporate Avenger.
After the break-up of the Humble Gods, Brad X would go on to become one of the founding members of the group Kottonmouth Kings under the name Daddy X. Spike went on to begin work on creating the group Corporate Avenger, and would go under the name of the Corporate Avenger. http://www.geocities.com/ca_taxgirl/biography.html |

Dead Kennedy's - California Uber Alles
Nice intro. Suonds like the song is about a power trip. This song is alright. Minor Threat - Straight edge 46 seconds, It's hard to hear what he is saying, except "ive got straight edge" Minor Threat - Filler This is better than straight edge. But I still dont lilke it very much. Snapcase - coagulate Kindof reminds me of New Noise. I cant make out what he is saying. The guitar and drums are done well. Snapcase - new Kata So far a lot different than the last song. I like this one better than the last one, but its not close to Apex Theory. Snapcase - First Word Faster, heavier. No build up like the first song. But I dont like it very much, yet. Its getting better. I think IM going to keep snapcase around for a while and see if it grows on me, because I am not turned off by it. The Used - A Box Full of Sharp Objects Its got a part around 50 seconds with some guy screaming into the mike. I dont like that part. It would be different if I could understand what he was saying. The Used - Choke Me Not playing for some reason. I dont get it. The Used - Maybe Memories Its got like a siren sound at the start. But I dont like this band that much. Blindside - They remind me of New Noise. I still dont like the yelling into the mike in the way where I cant understand what they are saying. Im gong to get to studying now, Ive added everything to my playlist, so I might tell you what I think when it comes up. If not I will get to everything by later tonight. |

Just a few more recommends, then I'm done for a while... judging by what I've heard so far, you'd probably like all these bands:
Songs by The Living End: West End Riot Prisoner of Society Astoria Paranoia Don't Shut The Gate Roll On Dirty Man Pictures in the Mirror Staring at the Light Second Solution Stay Away From Me Songs by The Offspring: All I Want Gotta Get Away Smash Self Esteem Amazed Change the World Bad Habit Nitro Something to Believe In What Happened To You? Kill The President Songs by Blink-182: Apple Shampoo Pathetic Dick Lips Sometimes Girl Next Door Toast and Bananas Other songs: Seether - Fine Again Seether - Needles The Beautiful Mistake - On Building Autopilot Off - Nothing Frequency Taking Back Sunday - Timberwolves at New Jersey Taking Back Sunday - Cute Without The 'E' Taking Back Sunday - Great Romances ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Another Morning Stoner The Hives - Die, All Right! The Hives - Automatic Schmuck BTW, you said you didn't get the song titles for two songs... I can explain them Glassjaw - Ape Dos Mil This title is talking about how uncivilized, and how unfair and cruel human culture is becoming. It's basically saying that we're all becoming Apes. Dos Mil is Spanish for 2000, pertaining to the year. It's basically saying that, even though it's a new millenium, we can still all be apes. Lostprophets - Shinobi Vs. Dragon Ninja The band says that the energy of this song reminds them of their childhood, and one of their favorite activities when they were kids was going to the arcade; Shinobi and Dragon Ninja were their two favorite games.

Smile Empty Soul - Bottom of a Bottle
Kind of depressing, then it gets different. Why I carry on? I do it for the drugs. Not what I expected. Its a weird message, like the only reason he is staying alive is to take drugs and for the love at the bottom of a bottle. Its put together well though, if I wasn't paying attention I probably wouldn't have picked up the message. Nerf Herder - Van Halen This is pretty funny. It sounds like a ode to Van Halen songs. Making lyrics out of the titles, and then original lyrics about Van Halen. Corporate Avenger - Evolved Weird intro, echo effect and it is moving through the channels. Not what I was expecting at all. It honestly doesn't even sound anything like KMK. Its got a real techno feel to it. I dislike this song. AFI - Ever and a Day Slower then what I was expecting. Not a slow sog though, well kindof. This song is ok, im my opinion, which doesnt say much. AFI - Girls Not Grey Better, so far. I think Ive heard this before. It's pretty good. AFI - Bleed BLack Having some problems aquiring this one. AFI - Silver and Cold Piano. Awsome. I really really like songs that add something more than drum/guitar/base/vocals. Ok, it sounds like the piano was just there for the intro. My hopes are up, if the piano doesnt come back I might get diapointed. The song isnt bad though, it is actually pretty good. I hope the piano comes back. I am disapointed. Antiflag - What about Punk Rock Sounds like a lot of other punk songs. Gets kindof funny at the end. Like he is sarcastically making fun of people. Antiflag - Die for your Government I like the "then shit" they added to the chorus. Without it I would probably hate this song. But it still sounds like most punk. The guitar sounds like it is extremely easy to play. The part with just vocals and drums is probably the best part. Antiflag - 911 for Peace The best song ive heard yet from them. This is a pretty good song, fast, chorus isn't bad. About not wanting to die because of 9/11 I believe. Evanescence: Bring me to Life I think I might have heard this on the radio. It is a pretty good song. I have no idea what it is about. But there is a PIANO. and female vocals. 2 things that set it apart from the rest. Sounds like linkin park put a hand into this. No Use for a Name- Dumb Reminders Punk. Sounds a bit different from the rest. Sounds like a song about this guy desperate for a girl, but he keeps screwing up because he is stupid. I might be wrong, but he sounds pretty pathetic. OK, I might be completely wrong. I think it is about a long distance relationship and the dumb reminders are that it is a long distance relationship. No Use for a Name - Coming too Close Better than the last song. Sounds like he is sick of being used by a girl. Its alright. Rancid: Anything from Let's Go and Out Come the Wolves CDs I got and really like Ruby SoHo and Time Bomb, I think they are from the Let's Go CD. Rancid - Salvation Also a good song. I have been really impressed by the rancid suggestion I have gotten today. I think I am gonig to buy these two albmus for my trip out to NJ next week. Rufio - Above me Weird. Fast. A uniqe sound. The way the guitar isnt just power chords. It is another punk song about being desperate for a girl though, I think. Rufio - In my eyes Slower. And again it is about some girl. And probably how desperate he is for her. If your into that stuff then Rufio is probably for you. Here is my To Do list: Thrice: Anything Thursday: Anything The Vandals: Anything Allister: Dead Ends and Girlfriends CD Brand New: Anything Dynamite Boy: Anything Flogging Molly: Anything Goldfinger: Anything Lucky Boys Confusion: Anything Riddlin Kids: Anything The Ataris: Anything The Reunion Show: Anything turbonegro Spacehog - In the meantime goldfinger-superman Guttermouth-Lipstick NoFX-Bob Anti-Flag-911 for peace pennywise-land down under Sub Humans (anything) The Casulties (anything) Flogging Molly- Salty Dog Pennywise- The world A.F.I.-Days of the Phoenix Reel Big Fish-Sellout The Offspring-All I Want Songs by The Living End: West End Riot Prisoner of Society Astoria Paranoia Don't Shut The Gate Roll On Dirty Man Pictures in the Mirror Staring at the Light Second Solution Stay Away From Me Songs by The Offspring: All I Want Gotta Get Away Smash Self Esteem Amazed Change the World Bad Habit Nitro Something to Believe In What Happened To You? The Hives - Automatic Schmuck Id really like some suggestions that are more than just guitar/base/drums/vocals. I really enjoy songs that have additional instruments. LIke pianos, bag pipes, trumpets, and so on. Stuff that sounds like nothing else. Thanks for all the help and giving me something to do in my freetime though, but it is time for me to sleep. |

Bagpipes?
Dropkick Murphys - Amazing Grace Trumpets? Just about anything by Five Iron Frenzy, especially off the album Upbeats and Beatdowns, also stuff by the Mighty Mighty Bosstones Piano? The White Stripes - I Want To Be The Boy To Warm Your Mother's Heart Those are just examples of your suggestions at the end... I still stick to my call for all the others I stated in my last post.

Try some Japanese punk, it's smaller and more efficent than American punk. Look for Thee Michelle Gun Elephant or Guitar Wolf, Shonen Knife is a little sugary, but they do a fun cover of I Wanna be Sedated. Or go really old school and find some New York Dolls, look for Vietnamese Baby, one of my favorites.
