Each flash of lightening flickered memories

As the storm inside my mind raged
The storm inside my heart ebbed
For each flicker of lightening grew brighter
Each memory grew stronger
You became more mine than hers
Until you had banished her from our light

I stood in the storm afriad
That you would never return
I closed my eyes and waited
For one blinding second I saw you
For one blinding second I missed you
Then one blinding second you were there
You stood before me as if the storm had brought you
