That is incredible for Weight Watchers!!! Are you staying within your daily allottment each day? Has your counselor made any mention that it's about 2-3 times over the normal weekly loss?
Toward the end, when goal was in sight, I kept losing about 1.5-2 lbs a week and even then I was told to be wary. Once I hit goal, I had to maintain for 6 weeks, but I continued to drop weight to the point they had me on 40 points a day and was warned that one more pound and I was out....I got lifetime after the 6 weeks, 1 lb over minimum for my size and 7 under the initial goal.
Be careful!! Use those points!!

I've been avoiding this, because I know I haven't been eating well and that this was coming. Oh, well. I jumped on the scale and I'm down to 136 lbs (yeah, my weight fluctuates really quickly). Gotta get intot he habit of eating more regularly!

Last month, I noticed that I had gained about 5 pounds since I started working... Super-sedentary lifestyle... I started going to the gym recently, and have cut down on my calories (been eating a lot of salads, mostly *). I've dropped 3 pounds and still have two to go.

I've always been rather slim, and can certainly get away with 5 extra pounds.. But I wanted to see if I had the will to lose weight. This is the first time I've actively tried to control my food intake, and I certainly see how it can be a struggle (and I'm only going for a few pounds)! So congrats for all the people losing weight, and hang in there to the ones trying to do so.

*: and veggie burgers and fish

a hah i guess ill join this thread too. ive been not fat, but not toned my whole life. always been the bigger person i guess. Im like 6'1 currently 207 but i have a large build. Goal is to get down to 195 because i weightlift almost everyday. However i feel as if i fluctuate up and down 5 pounds forever for the past 2-3 years. Even though i don't really eat and sweets and i play basketball for about 2/5 hours a day after i weightlift, my weight just stays there.

I was stuck at 215 2 weeks ago, now I am down to 210. I think I would be a little lower than that, but I did some cheating this week. I'm pretty pleased with my progress. I've actually decided to lower my goal from 200 to 190.

I'm chosing to eat as I please over the 4th of july holiday weekend. I'm well aware I'll likely gain a few pounds, but I'm now clear what there is to do to take those off, and I plan to have this weight gone by the 15th.

After a few days taken off (for good reason) I still managed to lose 3 lbs. That reason being the birth of my daughter. A healthy 6lb, 11oz girl. Born 6-27 at 1:42 am. Mrs. Coaster is doing fine too.

7-3-2005: 273 lbs.

Congrats Mister Coaster!

Even with the 4th, lost 3 lbs - primarily due to a Dr. prescribed allergy elimination diet, but has also been a good detox diet. It made a huge difference in how my body felt to cut out ALL processed foods. Total for me since March 17, as of yesterday : Current weight 176, total loss 25 lbs.

I started a new job a few weeks before the new year. My back pain and knee pain were so bad that I had to either quit or lose weight. Working through winter wasn't bad, but when spring came, temperatures in the garage got to 100°F+, and combined with the long distance from a refrigerator while on the job, the minor weight loss became major.

Start weight (Dec. 14 2004) 300.4
Current weight (July 11, 2005) 272.3

40 pounds to go. I might just keep this job after all.

Woops, gotta get into the habit of posting regularly here. Well, I'm currently 141 pounds. A lot of that is fat, though. I was bemoaning the lack of definition in my abs the other day and my girlfriend has therefore taken to calling me fatty. Just one more reason to go for that six pack again, I guess.

Martian, have you seen the thread about the 8-minute abs video? You can find it on Kazaa (or rather use Shareaza) if you search. Anyway, I'm about your weight, and for the last month I started doing the exercises in the video about 3 times a week, I'm starting to see some definition in there. So give it a shot!

Ok, I haven't posted in almost a month. I'm still at 144. I'm actually ok with this, because for two weeks I ate HORRIBLY and didn't go to the gym once...and I managed to stay the same and not put any on. I've gotten back to the gym though, and now that I can focus on this a little more, I'm going to be back at it.

When I went to my MEPS (Military enterance... something somthing) back in Feburary, I was 235 pounds. I went for my recheck today and I am down to 204. I knew I was losing weight, but I never really went back to compare it to what I was.

I'm pretty happy.

7-23-05 Down to 264. That's a total loss of 46 lbs.

Every overweight person that I work with is coming to me asking what I'm doing. I'm also being called "Slim" at work, which I think is still a stretch. Yes, I'm a lot slimmer than I was, but to be considered truly slim, I still have quite a way to go.

Well, I saw the thread awhile ago, but sexymama and I have been looking to get healthier for a while now, so last week we both joined WW.

I'm down about 5 lbs (weighed with shoes last week, so I know those are about 3 lbs.)

We'll see how this goes.

I did Atkins for about 2 months and lost about 15lbs or so. The problem I have with adkins is that its harder to avoid carbs than count calories, so a few days ago I switched to low cal.

I did a few of those 'calculate your intake' and for light exercise (I erred on the side of caution, I'm most likely over 'light') for someone my size it estimated I needed 2990 calories a day to maintain.

Well the last few days I have been doing around 1400 a day, and I haven't been overly hungry either. I know that it would be considered to low, and I've lost 3 lbs in....2 days.

Should be interesting to see how this goes. I've also been hitting the gym for the last month or so and I've seen some pretty good gains so far.

With the birth of baby Lebell and breast feeding, I'm down 25 lbs.

Joined WW last week (LOVING IT!) and lost 4 more. My goal is to get rid of 55 more pounds for a total of 84 lbs. More then that, I want to change my eating habits in order to live a long and healthy life. To be 43 and a mother of a newborn is risky enough. I want to be around when he is getting married and having children of his own!

I'm gonna hop on this bandwagon.

I officially started 10 days ago but didn't weigh myself until Tuesday (8 days ago) and weighed in at 258lbs. This morning I was down 11lbs to 247. I weighed once this past weekend and was down 6lbs and was surprised at the 11. My plan was to cut out all soft drinks and junk food and cut back to 1500 cals a day, I joined a gym yesterday and plan on working out at least every other day. I know the quick weight loss was a combo of cutting out my 32oz of Coke and decreasing my calorie intake, so it will be harder going forward.

Right now I'm motivated to lose, but I know as time goes on temptation will increase, (pizza commercials on TV kill me), but I plan on getting healthy and in shape, if not for me for my wife and daughter.

Is anyone doing the online Weight Watchers? I'd prefer that to having to go to meetings...

I have to admit that having a child was a big motivator for me. Its not fair to a kid if his dad kicks off early due to poor health, seems I'm not alone in this.

I started at about 235 with a goal of 205. I also started working out as of the middle of June.

Currently I'm 212, and its nice that the old tired mark in the belt is now a notch or two past its former norm.

Last night I did the wife test. I asked her if I should keep losing, and she pointed out my now slight but still there love handles and the touch of belly left, so I guess my 205 mark was pretty well on the money, maybe even 200 but that will most likely be too low unless I stop working out.

Congrats to everyone keeping with this.

Went shopping today.

Down to a 36 inch waist from a 40, which I have been for about 3 years, and a 38 for god knows how long before that.

34 is the lowest I recall having in 'adult' years so just about there.

The big difference is that the gut is not the determining factor but the hip bones, my work pants were close to falling off me.

Ill join this thread.. not really to lose weight but to sustain it and maybe gain a few pounds... I do have a stomach, its not flat or toned, although I plan to tone it... the whole "emo-skinny" if anyone here knows what that it.. anyway I was 150 in april and since then it has been fluctuating around the 140's but from mid june to present it has dropped from 146 to 132, height 5'7. ouch. Im not unhealthy and the only diet I pursue is vegetarianism... so Ill try to keep a log here of toning success with my stomach and of my weight, which will hopefully level off soon. Im currently a size 28 waist(size 32 in april), and a size 7 in girls jeans, which although a guy I wear more often now. easier to find. wish me luck!

Xero - are you getting enough protein in your diet? I'm just trying to help you out a little, since I've seen too many vegetarians who don't get sufficient protein. That should help with your goal of muscle buildup to keep an eye on that and make sure you're getting enough.

256 this morning. A total loss of 54 lbs.

I had a tough week, well, I had a tough weekend last week. I partied pretty hardy on Friday night, drinking a lot (beer & booze) and eating a lot of pizza. After that one binge, I managed to gain 3 lbs! No wonder I was so big before. I'd do that every weekend and ate too much during the week.

Ok, another update for me. I actually went up to 146 (from 144) a few weeks ago...

Weighed at the gym today...down to 142. Whoohoo! The past two weeks I've been going to the gym religiously, and we've cut back to going out to eat once a week. I know it's only 2 (technically, 4) lbs from my initial weight, but I'm still stoked.
