I'm Broken.
I went to the doctor due to some advice from some tfp people.
I want to know if anyone has had a Solid Mass Harmatoma? I have one in my left breast. They have to cut my breast open, take a little bit out, to see if it's turmorious(spelling) if not they still have to take it out. Will this hurt? I tryed to google it, I could not get to much info about it. I have had chicken pox when I was a child, my doctor said I have chicken pox in a little patch on my back. I wonder if I can give it to my boy friend I dont know if it's contagious(spelling) or not right now. It's just a small amount, but he has not had chicken pox before. I have IBS like some one mentioned, in the last thread I had(so thank you). I got the meds for it. Why is all this stuff happening to me? It feels like I did some thing wrong, and I'm being punished.

Solid Mass Hematoma That might help with your Google searching.
As for you being punished, get that thought out of your head. You've done nothing wrong. These things just happen. That's not the best answer, but that's the answer we've got. As for the surgery, will it hurt? Yes, it will. It's surgery. The doctors will either knock you out or give you local anaesthetic to just the breast tissue. They'll remove the mass and stitch you back up. You're going to have a scar. Depending on how you take care of it, it may fade away a bit. It's a good thing that the doctors are taking the mass out. Even if it's not cancerous, it should be removed. If it is cancerous, you're very young. You'll do just fine. You'll get the treatment you need. The best thing for you right now (and the people around you) is a positive attitude. Do some research and inform yourself. Ask your doctors questions. Ask as many as you want. There are no dumb questions. You have the right to take up as much time as you need. Do not let your doctor rush you with your appointments or questions. Do what you need to do to make yourself comfortable. My Mom had breast cancer. And she's had many non-cancerous masses removed. She's just fine. When she had cancer, she had the most positive attitude. For her it was "Okay, I have cancer. Let's get rid of it." And she did just that. Had chemo, lost her hair, had radiation. And she recovered. So, inform yourself, ask questions, and remain positive!

The doctor spelled it out for me as hamartoma but I was half asleep.(but who knows) I'm going to go to that web site. I have been calling all over to find a place to help me lower the price. one lady said I had to have a child in order to be get health insurance. No one I called could do anything. I dont get how a newly released convict can get free health insurance and I cant even get a little help.

I know that Blue Cross Blue Shield offers good health insurance for private parties. Might check it out.
Then - did your Dr do more than one exam of the mass?? Were you on your period. I know I'm coming at this from a completely different point of view but the women in my family commonly have fiborous breasts with unusual masses frequently and NONE (5 different surguries 2 women) have turned up cancerous. They show more fiborous masses during mentration. Our Dr's generally do more than one mammogram at different times of our cycle to see if the masses change. They have discovered that the masses shrink at certain times. They never cause problems and No one in my family has had cancer. Just get your Dr to double check things. Don't wait though. A friend of my family's just passed away because she let it go. Once they got to it she was to far gone. She battled cancer for 10 years though. I wouldn't hesitate to get it treated. As for the chicken pox - that sounds strange. It's unusual for a person to get chicken pox a second time. When they do it usually follows the paths of the nervous system in the body (ie. the pox will show up on the skin in lines) and it ends up being shingles. Which is just about as contagious as chicken pox. Not to question your Dr but there are several other viruses out there that are similar in type to the chicken pox virus and look similar. They are all just as contagious though so it's very possible your boyfriend has already been exposed. If he's concerned he could check to see if he's had the varicella (chicken pox) vaccine. If he's had that one then he may have nothing to worry about.
