Cruise Jobs?
I came across a website (http://www.cruiseshipjob.net/Job/) and there's lots of interesting job posting but I'm not sure if the website really represents the cruise lines that it mentioned on the frontpage. Anyone know anything about it?

I have some friends who work as stage technicians on a couple of the big cruise lines. They certainly didn't go through some "agency" to get their jobs. They just answered direct company ads in trade magazines.
Given the fee and process this company is talking about, I would be highly suspicious. It sounds exactly like those dubious Modeling and Film-Extras agencies that charge you for portfolio creation and then deliver nothing.

I will bet that the 59 dollar processing fee will get you a list of the jobs that are available... it won't guarentee interviews or anything...
if youw ant to workon a cruise ship - go directly to the cruiseline's website and apply there. Norwegian has a place you can apply directly on their website... but I'd check out their Life on the Ship section (i'd imagine the rules are the same for all cruise lines... to see if the life is really for you... Rules are pretty stringent... you can be pretty much keel hauled for dating a guest... I don't expect life on the cruiseship to be very love boat esque...

I know of someone who has done it for a few years and really enjoys it, but for most people on that boat the pay is either non-existant or very low. You're fed, you have a bunk, which is considered payment, if you make any money, the hourly wage is well below minimum wage. For experience and networking if you are trying to bust into the field of hospitality, it's not a bad way to go from all indications. If you're looking to make and save a lot of money, it might be a different story.
