BG, what are your thoughts on ending a sentence with a preposition?
Is it possible to overuse the indefinite article?

As an answer to a question you asked above, no, it's not possible to have an overuse of indefinite articles. There are some who would disagree, but anyone who thinks about a subject such as this should have some idea of whether they should continue with any disagreement.

I have recently been helping my friends by editing their scientific writing. These are international students from English-speaking India. I have noticed some interesting trends, including the absence of articles (definite or indefinite), overuse of commas, odd decisions with phrasing, and a complete lack of regard for ending thoughts with prepositions. I thought that perhaps my understanding was old-fashioned or American-English biased. It is good to know a true editor's thoughts on these pressing issues.
