Nintendo Sports
I just wanted to put this out there. Nintendo makes the best sports games EVER!
I think the biggest reason I feel this way is because I actually dislike just about every sport out there. I've never been into sports, never liked watching them, never like playing them, and especially never liked playing them on the TV. But in these past few years, I've slowly become a bit of a sports game junkie. And it's all Nintendo's fault. The first Nintendo sports game I played was Mario Kart on the SNES. Wow. That was a long time ago. After a brief stint with Mario Tennis for Virtual Boy (which was an amazing game...too bad it was only slightly more comfortable than having your eyes pecked out by vultures) MarioKart once again dragged me back into the loop, but this time in 64bit. Since then, it's been a downward spiral. Mario Tennis 64: Great. SuperSmashBros: Great. MarioKart: Double Dash: Great. SuperSmashBrosMelee: AWESOME. Now I'm on MarioGolf. GOLF! Of all things! I hate golf! what am I doing!? |

well... if you aren't into sports sims and just games that are based on a sport, i'll agree there are some good ones out there.
but, as long as we're naming cartoony games as sports titles... don't forget the king of them all: PUNCH OUT!

Are you aware that there is/was a subsidiary of Nintendo called "Nintendo Sports?" They were responsible for Ken Griffey Jr. Baseball and 1080 Snowboarding.
