And just fyi....being relatively new to RPG I checked with Rogue to see what I can and cannot do (as far as the mechanics of the game goes) so I don't think I'm overstepping any boundaries here.

Wow, an entire battle over the weekend when I can't log on. Oh well, hope my last posting can cover what I was doing.

Just an FYI that I'm heading down to Vegas this coming weekend so won't have access to e-mail from Thursday night through Sunday. If I have time I'll check and respond on the 30th but I'm still going to be on Vacation until the 2nd of July. I'll be around until Thursday though so we should be able to advance a little by then.

And Minx, you are playing the game fine in my opinion. In a game where no real rules were established as to how characters behave and we aren't really rolling dice to see if attacks work (correct me if I'm wrong Rogue) you need to set your own boundaries. In my opinion, a character needs to have weaknesses as well as strengths. In fact I think it is the weaknesses that define the character. Look at Krazixs for example, the poor snivelling fool (the character not the user :) ). I think his character could be very interesting although he hasn't been with us long enough to get to know him too much.

In all, just behave like you think your character will actually behave. Even if that means doing things that other's will not like. I've tried to throw a couple of suprises by not suddenly trusting every new player that comes along. I don't think anyone should just accept a new player. Yes I know that these players are likely to join us, but realistically my character would not know that.

Anyhoo, i'm rambling and not getting to a point and don't know what I'm saying (it's too early!) so I'll shut up now. Cheers!

Thank you for the support and advice Cubby. I agree with you on the strengths/weaknesses idea. The game will seem quite dull if we can combat everything we run into just by using magic. :)

And speaking of which, Golden...I am new to RP and am not familiar with the various magic elements that can be used which is why I limited by abilities to more along the lines of a rapport with nature rather than having a bag of magic tricks. If you would like to pm me with a few of the basics that would be appreciated for further RP games but as far as this particular game goes I will keep my limited abilities. Don't want to become too all powerful! :lol:

Yes,but it's too hard to explain.I'm going to begin running Attrah differently,with less dialogue/interaction,for personal reasons.
I would explain the others reasons,but I'm not good expressing what I mean,ending up making someone angry,or worse,getting banned from the board over a misunderstanding.

Apokx, I would like to think that this is the place where we can "meet" to discuss things regarding the game....whether they are good things or bad. If you are unhappy with an aspect of the game would it not be better to share it and perhaps come to a solution?

We are playing this for the fun of it and I would hope that everyone has fun.
Its been years since I played D&D so I try to make it more like a fantasy novel.
If your not I'd like to know why.
The dialogue is an important part of the game.
It makes the caracters more real and interesting.
I hope you will explain how you feel and we can help.

Well, after speaking with rogue, I've decided to join in on the roleplaying. I've done a bit of AD&D, but most of my roleplaying has been online, and I may be overly descriptive at times (please bear with me :)). I've found that dialogue and solid descriptions of actions make online RPG far more interesting than anything else.

As far as my character goes, Tsorovan is generally found in elven form, with obsidian colored hair, deep green eyes, and clothed in black from head to toe, including his mail shirt. He carries only a single blade, an adamantine sword. His only truly "magical" powers (as opposed to his uncanny ability to hide and move silently) lie in his ability to take the form of a black dragon once a day. While in this form, his size may change at will, as the occasion demands, though never more than twice a day, and never beyond 30 feet in height or 60 feet in length. While in this form, his only defense is his scales and only weapons his teeth and claws.

Tried to keep it short, but here he comes! :D

since so many of our players are not available during that time.

Goban, D'Aleen & Thantos are out for another round trying to get their barings and seeing through the smoke & chaos.

I'll give it to you this time that they were able to run that fast to get to the other side of the great room and around the corner.
But in the future, this should take much longer, especially in the split second timing of a battle.

This is the disadvantage of splitting up, not bad...there are advantages too...
just something to consider
I know this is a story of fantasy, but let's not try to push physics too much.;)

awww come on rogue.. physics are good.. we'll have to get you to start calculating the difference in time of two arrows to strike a target, one being fired from a compound bow at 50M and another from a short battle bow at 70M :p

The big 4th of July weekend is coming,

I'm going down to my mother's today myself for a long weekend.
I don't know how much I'll be able to get on during this time,

I was worried I would miss something important while I was recovering from surgery, but I guess you guys have been busy counting your riches since friday :)

I had a hernia that's kept me off my feet for the past 5-6 weeks, the recovery was more painful than the hernia itself for the first 2 days, but I'm almost as good as new now, thank god for codeine.
