Meh, tried R.O. didn't care for it.
I dunno BG, when I level my character I want to feel like I've accomplished something. Spending the next day going through very similar content with my other character at a lower level just to catch him up to my main sounds rather annoying. And sure I don't have to level my secondary, but I don't have to wear equipment either... |

Leveling a mage to 6 while already having 12 levels in priest felt like an accomplishment to me. I feel like I'm growing in power. Isn't that enough? All I will say at this point, my good Zeraph, is that you get out what you put into it.

imo, dual class is a bit of a chore, but if you're an advanced gamer or rpg'er the payoff is worth it for the sheer variety and personalization. you just have to get over the hump to 10, and then you can hop a level or 2 at a time and keep your questing linear. I'm a alt maniac, and i can't wait to build up a few different ideas i have for off-cuff hybrids.
movin' on... is there a guild up yet? i can pay for most of it if someone else wants to set it up and run it. maybe you barak? lets work that out this week so incoming people won't feel like they're in a social void. that will get me more into the game in general too.

Yeah, the guild is a good idea, especially since you can have guild real estate. How should we coordinate this?
Everyone who's interested: How much coin d'you got?

i have about 100k from farming a stack of grass. i'll donate 80k of it. I work till about 3pm pst, and then i'll be home. let me know which toon of yours to mail the gold to on here, and i'll do it. and then post back on here the guild name so i can search it out while i'm on.

My toon is Barakaenous. I can't remember how much gold I have offhand, but if you give me 80,000, we should have enough between us to set it up.
We just need 2 more people. The minimum requirements are 100,000 gold and 4 people.

Okay, I have over 30,000 gold...so if we pool it up, we'll have a guild in no time.

I've been being slack on playing this game, but I will start playing again. I'll see about getting some money up to donate to the guild fund. Also, I'll be a person to sign the charter, if you need another person.

---------- Post added at 08:55 PM ---------- Previous post was at 08:38 PM ---------- Okay, it's done. The guild name is "Tiltedforum." (The naming conventions were restrictive, so that's what we got.) It's only temporary until I invite four others. With five members, I can register it as a full guild. But I can only invite online players, so if you see me on, hit me up for an invite. After that, we've got some work to do! To go up in guild levels we need gold and resources (wood, ore, etc.) Once we get to level 7, we can apply to build a castle! Wo0t!

that was a productive Monday Night Football! Barak and i set up and officialized the guild, donated about a quarter of the resources building a guild castle (cool!), and knocked out a couple quests! it looks like it's gonna be a fun thing for any tfp gamer that wants to try something new. I'll make an effort to periodically check this thread and the game to help facilitate joining and the learning curve; just drop a line. if you're kind of new, just feel it out... but if you're advanced you might want browse and plan your 1st class of the 2 you'll be.

Been playing this game for a few months now. still pretty happy with it.
Currently have a 54/45 priest/warrior yay for the melee priest! My toons name is Moos on grimdal if anyone has any questions or anything i wouldnt mind answering them in game. Just a little more info about the game... First of all you can buy diamonds off the auction house with in game gold instead of buying them with real cash if you want just takes time. they generally sell for around 15k gold each. at my level i can easily farm 500k gold a day in a hour or two of casual solo farming. Stuff in the diamond shop in game goes on sale all the time so if you save up you can get everything you need without spending a dime of real money just going to take some time. People that say its exactly like wow.... well its just not. i played wow some and i just couldnt get into it. personally feel this game is better. is it perfect... no but right now i really do feel its the best option as far as mmorpgs go. In pvp you do not always drop 2 items btw. i have been killed on my toon countless times and i think i have dropped stuff maybe ten times total. normally only one item. out of those ten times only twice has it been a piece of gear that i was using. In game to save yourself a lot of hassle in the end i suggest you do your daily quests every day and use the tokens you get from them to buy transmuter charges your going to need lots of them in the end. End game pvp is all about who has the best gear. some class combos are better then others of course but for the most part if you have good gear you will do well if you have crappy gear your gonna die a lot. So yeah some dork spends $1000 on diamonds he will be able to get really good gear pretty damn fast and kick your butt in pvp. But... you can get the exact same stuff if you take enough time to get it. But it will take a while. So yeah if anyones playing on grimdal and has any questions feel free to send me a message on Moos |
