Ok, someone needs to let me know when everyone's getting together to play. I'm tired of playing with random scrubs. I've not gotten past part 3 or part 5 of No Mercy (expert), and I refuse to move on until I do.

We played chapter 3, 4, and 5 of No Mercy on Advanced last night. We didn't beat part 5 (first time we even played 4 and 5). This game is freaking awesome and we haven't even moved on to the other 3 movies yet. We usually play on Expert but it's very difficult to beat with 2-3 people.

Lasereth, I had a similar first experience with No Mercy, on advanced. I left after we failed on the final battle, as it was getting late.
Last night I tried Death Toll. It was on expert but no one realized. We were getting slaughtered within 100 yards of the beginning. We switched it to normal but could barely get to the third map. What this tells me is you have to change your strategies with each map. The dynamics are so different that you can't rely on a small set of tactics. This basically means this game is freaking awesome. I'll think more about how we can get us all to play regularly. For now, I'd simply recommend always having your Steam logged-in when you're at your computer so we know you're online and at least there to respond to an invitation to play. Scheduling a date also works.

Damn it took me almost a week to finish No Mercy's finale. We survived with 3 people left. The 4th only died because of friendly fire at point blank range. The 2 tanks were dominated in less than 5 seconds (expert).

This game is brutal on Expert. I still haven't finished No Mercy because the last part is hell. So far I've finished No Mercy and Death Toll on Advanced. There's a nice trick to beating Death Toll's last part, and I wonder if it would work the same on Expert.

Woot, beat Dead Air last night on Advanced finally. We only had 3 people too. The AI doesn't really count because it really does some stupid shit sometimes, omg. All that's left is Blood Harvest and then on to Expert.
This game is too fun.

Congrats I know I tried for at least two hours to beat the finale on Expert with a few buddies. We finally had to bum it down to Advanced to finally beat it.

Beat Blood Harvest on Advanced but only 1 person made it out alive. I didn't get the achievement so I'm going to have to do it again. I really hope Valve keeps this game updated on both 360 and PC. I don't care if I have to pay for extra scenarios for the 360 as long as the price is fair.

Eso, supposedly there will be plenty of Valve created maps to come for both DLC and PC patches. The only difference between the two platforms, other than the obvious controller/keyboard/mouse thing, is that the PC allows for user made maps as well.

are those maps going to be free for the PC or charged like the 360?

It was my understanding that they're free, as it's community-based mapping. You can download the SDK yourself and start building.

Lately I've been pretty busy. I usually only have barely 30 minutes to play. On top of that, my wireless router is a piece of shit sometimes, so I've been lagging really badly. I'm not really sure what the deal is with that yet, but after my finals, I'll probably be playing a lot.

Re: not playing lately.
I've been brain-dead because of work and some recent personal initiatives. But I imagine I will be returning to the game shortly; I've been thinking about it lately.

I wonder if they will be adding more types of zombies and weapons. From watching videos it seems a bit limited on enemies. There are currently only 6 zombies: Boomer, Smoker, Hunter, Tank, Witch, and Zombie. They really need about 14 more types to make things really interesting.

Did I mention Expert is fucking brutal? Was playing No Mercy last night and my group couldn't get past the sewers. We'd all be low on health or near dead and cue the Tank music. I eventually just had to call it a night because it was getting late. Regardless of how many times we died I still had a blast and can't wait to try it again.

Yeah, expert sewers is the hardest thing by far. I think I've only done it like twice. I can't imagine it on vs. It's just so long. By the time you actually get into the sewers, you're mostly dead. Then you have to deal with going through it with the constant waves of zombies and the inevitable witch. And, even though it's a really short distance from the exit to the hospital, it's still nearly impossible to get to the fucking hospital.

It's amazing how I never get tired playing No Mercy over and over again on versus. The biggest thing this game is lacking for longevity is a traditional server browser window that is easy to get to. Too many times I have to return to the lobby because people left the survivors after getting owned, and the survivor AI is absolutely a death sentence in versus mode. Plus you can't choose things like server location. You get stuck with the dilema of having a 200 ping or leaving the current game.

Man, I'm tired of dealing with all the people using exploits in Versus. They'll take ways they aren't supposed to, and make the game less fun.

I bought the game when Steam had their boxing day sale.
Started playing after new years, and damn it all am I addicted. I quickly beat the campaigns on normal, and am now trying to get all of the achievements. I'm having such a hard time killing the witch with one headshot. Yes I use the shotgun, yes I get really close to her, but I only manage to startle her, it sucks. If anyone wants to work on the achievements with me, send me a message, I'm "Teh Settie" and should be apart of the TFP group now. I usually work on the achievements in easy or normal. After I get them, I'll try advanced |

A dude in my group on 360 headshotted the Witch twice on Advanced. I still need to get that achievement. -_-
