Haverford, the next little town over from me, has 19041 zipcode. More importantly, in Haverford College pond there lives a very large snapping turtle. We first saw it as my son was standing at pond's edge with his toes in the water and pointing said "dad, look at that turtle" except what he thought was the turtle turned out to be just the head of this snapping turtle. I estimate it is close to 3 ft. across it's shell and longer in the head-to-tail direction.

On the subject of turtles you allocated for this new page, I deem this page, "Tortuga tally".
Man, this music is smooth. Oh, yeah, turtle picture, I found it four days ago: (I think I can hotlink this)

Those are badass, BadNick.
Can you confirm whether that is an ostrich/emu biting that small turtle? I'd also love to know your source (google is nowhere near that good).

for all my life
it's amazing how simple these lyrics are to remember, even though it's been decades since I've heard this song

pretty sure it's an ostrich, Jetee. Emu's wouldn't harm a turtle, as we aussies are a more genteel breed .

quite right, Zook...probably.
The only clue I found there was this "reader comment" which is sort of funny since the website is "nature photography...bookmarked!" Pixdaus, page 5 of tagged as food photos "...Nature nothin! Someone fed that turtle to the Ostrich to get that shot. The two animals are from different continents..." |

I'd like me some Boots of Spanish Leather
Btw, I thought I was being so up-to-date and cool by starting to use Internet Explorer 64-bit version running in my home Vista system, but then I discovered that the latest flash players are not compatible yet with the 64-bit setup and therefore do not display these youtube imbedded thingies...so I had to down-date to the lower bit version and live happily ever after. I know this be the christened page of turtles, but I just found this, and you'll be pleasantly surprised:
Fool’s Gold Stack Pancakes layered between peanut butter and bacon and topped with maple syrup.

I think I'm gonna retreat into my void until I get inspired again.
I just noticed there's only about ~25-33 active posters in a given week, month, and a fair 85% of them avoid me like the plague. Fall back for me. Here's me hoping that the ostrich didn't gulp.

Love you, Jet. Your Fool's Gold Stack sounds so good to me it makes me glad I'm not a turtle...I'm gonna ask for that next time I go to the diner with the guys from work, where we usually order breakfast for lunch. We go every other week or so. I wonder if I could add a few pieces of real good melted chocolate between the pancakes?...would almost give it a "turtley" taste.
Are we now allowed to post kid pics?...I wonder if this is legit? This is a cute little guy |

And as long as we're all feeling happy together, the Zappa Version:
