what are your plans for this summer?

Pretty much the same as for Winter, Spring and Fall. Work. By June I should accumulate maybe 1 day off.

What sports did you play as a kid? I was on the track team and threw discus and shot put.

I swam competively thru college... on both my high school and college swim teams (I was better for distance than at speed - 800 M Freestyle was my favorite and best event.(I'd probably drown now if I attempted it) I played t-ball and later softball thru college - I wasn't great at running bases but I had a great arm and was a pretty good pitcher....

When is the last time you went to a doctor for a check up? (I finally got some recommendations for where i'm living now and am going next week...)

Was at the ol' Doc last week.

He told me that my hearing had gone down and my cholesterol was up.

At least I am still alive.

If you won the lottery, what charity would you donate to?

I would give to the "adopt a horse society". Its a place where all retired race horses are excepted into retirement and placed in good homes if possible. If no home is found, then that horse can live out his days in peace and comfort. :thumbsup:

The grand charity of Charlatan's family. Depending on how much I won I would spread the wealth to my family (it isn't that large) and a little to some of my closest friends (a million to each friend wouldn't be too crazy if you have 80 million to start with). This is especially handy since most of my friends are imaginary.

After that dispersal, I would have to sit down and think about a charity. I'd probably support something like Medicine sans Frontier.


What are you going to be doing this lovely Sunday morning? I am about to make some coffee and then I'm going to read the paper (my wife took the kids to the stable with her this morning so I am solo).

Mine is Prince Edward Island, it was once said "if you cant relax there, you cant relax anywhere".

I'd have to say Western Europe, where I've been to France, Italy, Spain and England. It has great Architecture, food, culture and Art in spades. Just strolling around without a plan, soaking in the sights can be wonderful.

Me, im on several times a day for 15-20 minutes each time.

Well, 8 hours a day for work, then about 4 hours each night on weeknights, about 10 hours total for the weekend... total of 70 hours on the computer weekly.

I kind of like it, but less ever since they put warnings on the pumps that the fumes could give you cancer of some sort.

My surname is mispelled more often than it is mispronounced.. .my first name however, gets slaughtered regularly -- my own fault because I talk very fast - it's a slightly unusual name (though common elements) and people don't expect it - -so i get all sorts of derivitives of it... eh - it's a name... a rose by any other...

how often do you burn cd's? What's the last one you burned? I rarely do, except since my Ipod died, and i am too cheap to shell out a few hundred for a new one... I burn cd's regularly for travelling music because i get bored with the same stuff..

Candlelight or moonlight?

Ooh, good question!

Both can be enchanting, but I say candlelight. While Moonlight quietly brings out the sparkle in one's eyes, candlelight dances as if alive, and shrinks your world to within but a few feet.

Did you ever injure yourself seriously on a playground at school? I can't remember a single incident that resulted in anything worse than the odd goose-egg.

I never injured myself on the playground. It wasn't until high school that I started getting injured. The most daring thing I ever did on the playground was jump/launch myself off the swing into the sand. Landed on my feet. Just like licking a 9-volt battery to test it, or licking your fingers to pinch out a candle. Looks scary, but once you do it, it's no big deal. =)

*I got drunk one time with a buddy of mine, (i mean REALLY drunk), and we climbed one of them "water towers" on college campus. Not too smart!

My brother and I wanted to try and be Hollywood special effects wizards, so we took an old propane bottle and put it out on the pasture.

We then decided it was a good idea to help it out by putting some diesel fuel and nitrogen fertilizer (farmer's dynamite) under it.

We stood back and lit a homemade fuse. The fuse fizzled out.

We took turns shooting the ground under the propane with a .22lr. The explosion took out about 50m of fence, and the cattle wouldn't come to the water trough all day. My uncle was super-pissed. It was a miracle that we survived.

We had to spend a couple of weeks repairing fence (even the fence that we DIDN'T blow up... how's that for fair?)

If you could be a famous rock star or a famous movie star or a famous politician, which would you choose? Why?

I would be a politician. History is very kind to good politicians, and to have shit named after me and have kids study me in school would be pretty cool.

I would want to be a famous actor but that has more to do with my love of acting than wanting to be famous.

Have you ever felt suicidal? What led you to think about it and how did you keep from doing it. I have in the past but got over it (I don't think I was serious about it, just immature).

I would be a movie star. Movie stars have long careers, make lots of money, and can engage in whatever sexual shenanigans they want and it actually IMPROVES their position.

I think I would write all about growing up lower middle class and joining the army.

Okay, this story is not for the squeamish!

My son was born by C-section, and in the moments afterwards, the anethsetician said to me: "Hey, do you want to something you don't see everyday?"

The surgeons were in the process of stitching the incision closed, and were working on her uterus sitting outside of my wife's belly. They propped it up to show me. I was awestruck.

In that state, it looked about the size of a large wineskin. Normally, I think it's about the size of a pear, but I could be wrong.

Are you squeamish about surgery? Me, only with plastic and facial reconstruction surgery.

The nurse says "LAY DOWN! You are too big for me to pick up off of the floor!"

I don't do needles. There must be some needles in surgery. Knock me out before-hand.

What was the most painful thing you have felt (physically) in a while?

Me? My fucking back spasmed at lunch today. It is better now, but brought tears to my eyes.

The worst physical pain I have felt in a while? Probably when I got pierced, but it was over pretty quickly. No big deal in the end.


Have you ever really screwed up? What did you do to recover? I've recently made some major mistakes, I am still figuring out how to make it better.

I'd go for the entire past year and then some... I'll let you know how I managed to recover from it - If I recover from it... It's been one major major mistake after another -and then another mistake to counteract the first mistake...

I'm stuck in ahotel room this week that has no outside windows... the window in the room overlooks the atrium and it's making me claustrophobic... In the past week I think I've been outside a grand total of 2 hours... It's making me go stir crazier... Do you ever get claustrophic if you can't see outside?

ARe you a patient person? I am generally a patient person but lately I have been getting a bit impatient.

It was once said about me that I had the patience of a saint - that nothing ever bothered me... lately -- my fuse has gotten much shorter and my patience level is at an all time low... It's lately become an aerobic activity to wrassle with my self to prevent me from telling off some people...

I"m going to need an excuse soon-- what's your best, most beleivable excuse, for taking the day off of work, when just saying I'm taking a personal day won't cut it... I really have no one that I can kill off to attend a funeral..

Stomach flu. No one wants a person with stomach flu to come anywhere near work, lest it get spread around. Not to mention, you won't be very productive sitting in the bathroom all day.
