not very...

BadNick 09-21-2009 06:19 PM

did you ever notice that "penis" backwards is "sinep" which to me says "sin, extended play" which I suppose makes more sense than sin lp which backwards would be plnis which I have no idea what that might be, so it does belong in nonsense.

unc, I may have discovered a side of you I had heretofore not been aware of <<< goddam dangling participle!

Recently it caught my eye that my dearest uncle phil has the "comfortably numb" moniker under his name...so now I find out that this must be what he means:

YouTube - Scissor Sisters - Comfortably Numb: Video

uncle phil 09-22-2009 03:24 AM

definitely not the scissor sisters...

BadNick 09-22-2009 06:16 AM

thank you for the clarificaton...I'll cross "transvestite aficianado" off my list

ring 09-22-2009 08:04 AM

Mink coats are made to be worn inside out.

BadNick 09-22-2009 10:01 AM

hmmm, I can already feel that.

uncle phil 09-22-2009 12:15 PM

i feel the love...

BadNick 09-22-2009 03:24 PM

and conversely, I love the feel...

Ourcrazymodern? 09-22-2009 04:02 PM

Mmmm, silky fur!

uncle phil 09-23-2009 03:02 AM

nick, you used to wear chuck taylor's too?

BadNick 09-23-2009 03:31 AM

ahh, what a picture you paint, unc. A mental artist-u-r. Me standing in front of a large mirror, totally naked with my mom's full length mink coat on inside-out, and my chuck taylor's sticking out on my feet. But back then I never heard of Chuck Taylor, and we called them Converse sneakers.

BadNick 09-27-2009 07:49 AM

I wonder if any Christmas decorations are up around here yet? I haven't noticed.

Ourcrazymodern? 09-27-2009 09:41 AM

I hope you get pumpkins & turkeys first.

BadNick 09-27-2009 10:40 AM

thanks...I don't recall seeing a pumpkin/turkey pie recipe but that sounds like it tastes good...found this simple one:

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...pumpkinpie.jpg

Now that I think of it, I have made a sort of "shepherd's pie" using sweet potato, pumpkin, and turkey which was quite tasty.

uncle phil 09-28-2009 03:00 AM

that could be edible...

BadNick 09-28-2009 10:21 AM

i just had a couple good enchiladas

uncle phil 09-28-2009 01:17 PM

glad i'm upwind...

BadNick 09-29-2009 06:50 AM

Enchiladas, per se, don't have any bean content. But traditionally they are often served with a side of refried beans. And we know beans are good for your heart

Beans, beans, are good for your heart,
They Make you strong and make you fart.
A fart is a bubble of compressed air,
Which gives the body ease.
It warms the bed on a frosty night,
And suffocates the fleas!

OR

Beans beans beans beans,
Beans be ans beans beans,
Beans are good for a broken heart,
The more you eat the more you fart,
The more you fart the better you feel,
So eat you beans in every meal,
Beans beans beans beans,
Beans beans beans beans...

OR EVEN

Beans, beans the musical fruit
The more you eat, the more you toot!
Beans, beans they are good for your heart.
The more you eat, the more you fart.
The more you fart, the more you eat,
The more you sit on the toilet seat!

OR PERHAPS

Beans, Beans the magical fruit,
The more you eat, the more you toot,
The more you toot the better you feel,
So lift your leg and let it squeal!

uncle phil 09-29-2009 12:32 PM

nick, you ol' toot...

BadNick 09-29-2009 04:30 PM

BadNick 09-30-2009 03:45 PM

BadNick 10-01-2009 12:06 PM

I'll call in my cleaning lady if necessary! The big guns! But she doesn't do windows.

uncle phil 10-04-2009 11:59 AM

BadNick 10-04-2009 02:19 PM

uncle phil 10-05-2009 01:15 PM

BadNick 10-05-2009 08:12 PM

Fantasia is one of my all time favs....from many good ones.

uncle phil 10-06-2009 02:41 AM

don't forget the tar baby...

BadNick 10-06-2009 03:56 AM

I shed a tear when I first watched Bambi...and Dumbo, too.

Ourcrazymodern? 10-06-2009 06:34 AM

I only cry when I feel like it.

BadNick 10-06-2009 08:22 AM

...and sometimes I feel like it whether I want to or not. The tears are cleansing, especially on my cheeks....in case they were dirty. Or in case I got smoke or something in my eyes. Obviously, being a man I don't cry for nothing.

ring 10-06-2009 10:01 AM

I just heard "He's a peach", in my left ear.
I read what you wrote to OCM? over the phone...uhhh about 58 seconds ago.

BadNick 10-06-2009 12:01 PM

ah, that probaby explains the flush of warmth I felt in my left ear about 2 hours ago. For a minute there I thought I had a hot flash.

uncle phil 10-06-2009 12:54 PM

anybody ever ask you how you knew?

ring 10-06-2009 03:27 PM

I have the market cornered on hot-flashes, boys.

Where are my adoring fans when I need them?

BadNick 10-06-2009 06:34 PM

Talk about cornered, for lunch today I had a corned beef and chopped liver on rye from Hymie's deli down the corner. They lightly grill the cb and also the rye slices, and the smaltz in the chopped liver almost melts a little from the warmth. A cup of their really good matzo ball soup was my appetizer. Thank God for Jews.

right here...

Ourcrazymodern? 10-07-2009 02:17 PM

Last time I felt cornered, a "hot flash" might describe what I felt. Of course, that's sort of like what I felt under ELP's ministrations, also.

uncle phil 10-07-2009 02:43 PM

lucky man...

BadNick 10-07-2009 05:32 PM

hot flashbacks...sort of like a volcano erupting from my gut up to my head and I'm spinning around at the same time

It was almost HELP except poor Jimi bit the dust too soon :(

uncle phil 10-08-2009 03:31 AM

ok, where's the jet?

i heard a rumor that he "won" this thread...

Fly 10-08-2009 03:59 AM

BadNick 10-08-2009 06:20 AM

how about a weiner

...or two. That'll be my lunch, with a big pile of raw onions, mustard, relish, and a dab o' ketchup

Ourcrazymodern? 10-08-2009 09:24 AM

I'll bring the cheese.

BadNick 10-08-2009 04:43 PM

stack that cheese...let's invite a baconite, too.

ring 10-08-2009 05:24 PM

Hot tomatoes, sans the skins.

BadNick 10-08-2009 05:34 PM

well I can't argue with a hot tomato. The skinless reminds me that at the end of the tomato growing season when we have a bunch of nice ripe tomatoes I blanch them, peel them, chop them up, then wisk in my favorite olive oil, salt, pepper...if you have a nice herb that goes well, too. Then just pour it over al dente pasta with some parmesan. Dammit, now I'm hungry again.

uncle phil 10-09-2009 03:32 AM

tamales, anybody?

BadNick 10-09-2009 06:20 AM

weather report: chile today, hot tamale

poor Jaco...r.i.p. :(

uncle phil 10-09-2009 12:09 PM

seasonably alluring...

Ourcrazymodern? 10-09-2009 03:52 PM

But I can't taste it.

It seemed tight, but deodorized.

uncle phil 10-10-2009 02:04 AM

they do that...

Fly 10-10-2009 05:44 AM

i like it when they're tight and deodorized.....

Ourcrazymodern? 10-10-2009 06:21 AM

But where go the pheromones?

read: Where is the love?

BadNick 10-10-2009 08:16 AM

Love Supreme...and this is also one of my favorite

ring 10-10-2009 10:54 AM

We will Nutella today.

BadNick 10-10-2009 11:26 AM

of course. Nutella is one of the essential food groups needed to survive

http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g2...d/DSCF0391.jpg

uncle phil 10-10-2009 11:58 AM

don't know if i could eat that...

Ourcrazymodern? 10-10-2009 07:23 PM

Trust me, you could.

uncle phil 10-11-2009 04:28 AM

gotta be awfully hungry...

Ourcrazymodern? 10-11-2009 10:52 AM

I get the impression you might be. Nutella's good stuff, & chocolate soothes your soul. Did I tell you I love you lately?

uncle phil 10-11-2009 11:32 AM

no, nor soonly...

Ourcrazymodern? 10-11-2009 12:54 PM

Consider it said.

BadNick 10-11-2009 04:32 PM

 :hearts:

sometimes a picture is worth a few words

uncle phil 10-12-2009 02:46 AM

thank rudy it's not a thousand...

BadNick 10-12-2009 06:15 AM

Wasn't there a famous song about "my chocolate fantastic lover"? If not, there shoulda been.

Ourcrazymodern? 10-12-2009 07:28 AM

Does anybody have a recipe for pan-fried jello?

BadNick 10-12-2009 09:31 AM

my curiosity proded me to look and apparently such a thing exists: Deep-Frying Jello - a set on Flickr

Ourcrazymodern? 10-12-2009 02:03 PM

1/4 c. (whatever's in the cupboard)
(try flaxseed meal)
some egg & half and half
three flaming shots of your choice
season to taste
ask Julia

(the final step is always my favorite, despite the aversion training.)

& plenty of butter.

(The insides are a little runny, but it's fun.)

donmaytee 10-12-2009 03:51 PM

What is this? Lol

BadNick 10-12-2009 04:56 PM

I thought you knew, or somebody here! I'm just hanging around until I can find out what's up. I have a feeling that might take forever....hey, don't forget that half way to "forever" still takes "forever". Even quarter of the way!

Fly 10-12-2009 05:12 PM

i've got a quarter......

Ourcrazymodern? 10-12-2009 05:27 PM

Colored fingernails
create a differ ent presence,
allowing new things.

(Let's not talk about anything else.)

BadNick 10-12-2009 07:40 PM

two bits ...I like it when you don't bite your fingernails

Ourcrazymodern? 10-12-2009 08:53 PM

Please forgive me for saying that - I forgot where I was.

Your willingness to respond I find enlightening.

Goodness, gracious, bad balls of fire!

uncle phil 10-13-2009 03:32 AM

/me runs...

Ourcrazymodern? 10-13-2009 07:49 AM

Where are you going? Can I come along?

uncle phil 10-13-2009 11:31 AM

hold on loosely...
